A few distinctive doors around the city of New Bedford MA
Good morning, and have a great day.
A few years back, I did a series of photos from walks around NYC that I called Distinctive Doors, and on my recent walks where I have been looking for cool historic buildings around the city here in New Bedford, there are some cool doors here so I have been looking for more and today I will share a few I have come across recently
Starting with this one on a property at 416 County Street. The intricate portico and classic double doors of this historic home perfectly capture nineteenth-century craftsmanship.
and has such elegant details, such as the ornate woodwork and distinct color palette of this historic residence

I guess not so much a door but the entryway leading to a door of the Roosevelt apartments
The property was built in 1924 and designed by the architectural firm Leary and Walker Architects.
It officially opened its doors to residents in September 1926. Upon opening, the six-story brick building was widely billed as "one of the most luxurious in the city". Built in a grand U-shape, it boasts an elegant pre-war brick facade, an ornamental interior courtyard featuring a central fountain, which you can see in this photo, and vintage interior elements like hardwood floors, oversized windows with views of the seaport, glass door knobs, and crown molding.
