Today my husband is 41. FORTY-ONE. And honestly… I still don't know how this happened because sometimes he behaves like he is 15, sometimes like he is 80, and very rarely like a normal adult. 😂
But then I found this photo.
This was probably around 12 years ago. Look at him. Flying through the air on a bike like this is completely normal. No fear. No hesitation. Just him, his bike and apparently a very strong belief that gravity was optional. 😂
He has always loved slopestyle and anything that involves bikes, jumps and probably a slightly higher chance of breaking something. And let's be honest…I am not saying he is old. I am just saying that if he tried this today, I would probably need to call an ambulance before he even landed. 😂 Yeah..definitely 😂
The difference is that 12 years ago he would jump off a bike. Today he jumps off the sofa and immediately says, “Ohhh, my back.” 😂
But being hyperactive has never really left him. This man cannot simply sit. There must always be something happening. ALWAYS! 😂 If he isn't doing something with photography, he is flying a drone. If he isn't flying a drone, he is looking at some macro photography. If he isn't taking photos, he is checking his collections.
And OH BOY… the collections. 😂 Pokémon cards. One Piece cards. And probably another 17 things I don't even know about because every time I open a cupboard there is another box appearing from somewhere. 😂🤦♀️ At this point, I have stopped asking where things come from. I just accept that our apartment is slowly becoming a museum. 😂
He is also incredibly strong. Not just physically. He is one of those people who keeps going no matter what happens. He supports me, believes in me and is always there when I need him. He has been my biggest support through so many things, and I honestly don't know what I would do without him. ❤️
Of course… there are some disadvantages. 😂
He is LOUD. Very loud. Sometimes I think I need headphones just to survive a normal conversation. But the funny thing is… even with headphones on, I can still hear him. 😂 And when he is drunk? Forget it. People 5 km away probably know what we are doing.
“Where is that noise coming from?” “Oh, that's Tina's husband.” 😂😂😂
And then there is poker. I am still trying to convince him to play poker with me.I don't know why I keep trying because let's be honest…
I will probably lose.
But one day. ONE DAY. I will win. And when that happens, I will never let him forget it. 😂
So today, my crazy, loud, strong, hyperactive, collector, photographer, drone pilot, bike-loving husband turns 41. The boy who used to fly through the air on a bike is now a man who has to think twice before getting off the floor. 😂
But you know what?
I wouldn't change him.
Not even the loud parts.
Not even the endless collections.
Not even the crazy ideas.
Not even the fact that he still sometimes looks at a bike jump like he could totally do it.
Because behind all that chaos is the most loving, supportive and amazing husband I could ever ask for. ❤️
I wish you more adventures, more crazy ideas, more amazing photos, more Pokémon and One Piece cards, more drone flights, more bikes, more laughter, and maybe… just maybe… fewer injuries. 😂
May your back survive another year. May your knees cooperate. May your collections somehow fit into the apartment. May you finally agree to play poker with me. And may you always stay exactly as crazy, funny and wonderful as you are. I love you more than words can say. ❤️
Happy birthday, old man. 😂❤️
And please…
DON'T TRY THIS JUMP AGAIN. 🚲💀😂
With love, @tinabrezpike ❤️
