The Cave Monastery of Șinca Veche (Brasov County, Romania), the gateway to another world

In today's blog, we will visit what is perhaps the most mysterious monastery in Romania. It is said that paranormal phenomena occur here and that this place communicates with other worlds.
So let's discover another part of mysterious Romania.
I came here by car, and I must admit that at one point I wasn't paying attention to the signs and took a wrong turn, but as soon as I realized my mistake, I corrected it.
Somewhere on the outskirts of Sinca Veche village, I see the sign for the cave monastery or Temple of Destiny (as it is also known) and pull into a fairly large parking lot. I see that more than half of it is already full, which tells me that this place is not like any other. Why do I say that? Because I took a quick look at the license plates of some of the cars in the parking lot and most of them were from other counties in the country, some even very far away.
We entered through a large wooden gate and, honestly, from the very first steps, this place fascinated me. Everything was perfect, nothing was left to chance. The paths were made of gravel, and the sound our footsteps made when we walked on those stones was strange.
The monastery is carved into the rock, and the first information about it dates back to around 1742, but other sources say it is much older. It seems that this monastery manages to keep the secret of its appearance.
But before unraveling the mysteries of the monastery's appearance, let's take a few steps along the cobbled paths.
The monastery can be visited free of charge and is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Before actually entering the monastery carved into the rock, we took a short walk along the paths here. In some places, we passed through a pine forest, where the smell was divine (I really like the smell of pine/fir trees). In another area, we passed among some boulders, and the whole area seemed to take hold of me.
Honestly, after walking along the rocky paths, among pine trees and boulders, I sat down in one spot and remained motionless, and then I was able to observe and feel the tranquility of the place.
The monastery carved into the rock has only a few small rooms, and to protect the entrance to the monastery, the authorities have installed a very large tarpaulin on a wooden frame at the entrance.
We went inside, where it was quiet as a tomb. Behind us, a lady with a gentle voice told us she would give us some information about the monastery. In the end, we received a lot of information, and yes, that person was a nun, because this monastery is a nunnery.
Our visit to Sinca Veche Cave Monastery has come to an end. Honestly, we left feeling spiritually enriched, having learned things we didn't know before and seen places that seemed almost unreal.
