Hello Hives,
Have you ever looked back at a situation and thought, “Maybe this could have ended differently if we had just talked?”
I think many of us have experienced something like this at some point.

Sometimes, people don't stop caring about each other. They just stop talking. One person gets hurt, the other person gets angry, and instead of sitting down to clear things up, both people decide to keep quiet.
Then pride enters the picture.
You start thinking, “Why should I be the one to call first?” The other person is probably thinking the exact same thing. Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and before you realize it, the relationship that once meant so much to both of you has become a distant memory.
The funny thing is that the original problem might not have even been that serious.
Maybe someone misunderstood something. Maybe someone said something they did not mean. Maybe an apology was needed. Maybe both people simply needed to explain how they felt instead of assuming the other person already understood.
But ego can make a small problem look much bigger than it really is.
Sometimes we are more interested in proving that we are right than finding peace. We don't want to be the first person to apologize because we think it makes us look weak. But honestly, there is nothing weak about saying, “I was wrong.”
In fact, I think it takes a lot of courage to admit when we have made a mistake.
Of course, not every relationship can be saved. There are situations where walking away is the right thing to do. Some people hurt us repeatedly, and protecting our peace has to come first.
But there are also times when people walk away from each other over things that could have been settled with one sincere conversation.
And that is the part that hurts.
One day, when the anger has disappeared and the ego has finally calmed down, you may look back and realize that you did not really need to win that argument. You didn't need to give someone the silent treatment. You didn't need to wait for them to make the first move.
Maybe all you both needed was to sit down and talk like two people who actually cared about each other.
So if there is someone in your life who matters to you and the problem between you can still be fixed, don't let pride make the decision for you.
Sometimes, one honest and emotionally mature conversation can save something that silence would eventually destroy.
