Habt ihr euch schon mal gefragt, wie viel ein Witness (Block Producer) auf Hive verdient?
Mit der neuen Version des Hive Rewards Trackers v2 könnt ihr jetzt auch die Witness-Rewards für einen Account berechnen.
Allerdings ist das eine extrem langwierige Operation, da alle produzierten Blöcke durchgegangen werden müssen.
Vor allem bei den Top 20 Witnesses, wo das schnell Hunderttausende Blöcke im Monat umfassen kann, empfehle ich daher nur die letzten 1-3 Monate zu berechnen, da die Abfrage sonst zu lange in Anspruch nehmen würde.
Zu beachten ist auch, dass die Witness Rewards als Hive-Power ausbezahlt werden, und der Tracker diese mit dem aktuellen Hive-Wert zum Zeitpunkt der Anfrage und nicht mit dem historischen Wert zum Zeitpunkt des Zuflusses ausgibt, also so als hätte man die Hive-Power bis zum Zeitpunkt der Anfrage gehalten und verzinst.
Grund ist, dass die Blockchain intern die Hive-Power mit einer eigenen Einheit (VEST) berechnet und verzinst, und die API die historischen Werte in Hive leider im Moment nicht ausgibt.
Die gleiche Problematik hat man auch bei der Hive-Power, die bei den Author/Curation-Rewards ausbezahlt werden.
Die Author/Curation-Rewards beinhalten übrigens auch die Beneficiary-Rewards.
Nun aber zur spannenden Frage, wie viel ein Witness im Monat verdient:
Bei den Top 20 sind es circa 14K Hive pro Monat, bei Top 21 fällt der Reward dann auf ungefähr 4000 Hive pro Monat, bei Top 30 sind es etwa 1800, bei Top 50 circa 800 und bei einem Top 100 Ranking etwa 300 Hive pro Monat, abhängig von der Hive-Power, die für den Witness votet und ob der Witness die Blöcke auch erfolgreich generiert hat.
Ob sich das rentiert, hängt also sehr stark vom Ranking und vom aktuellen Hive-Kurs ab. Bei einem Top 50 Witness zum Beispiel wären das bei einem 10 Cent Hive-Kurs, etwa 80 Dollar im Monat, bei bei einem Top 20 Witness etwa 1400 Dollar im Monat.

Have you ever wondered how much a Witness (Block Producer) earns on Hive?
With the new version of the Hive Rewards Tracker v2, you can now also calculate the Witness rewards for an account.
However, this is an extremely time-consuming process, since it requires going through all the blocks that have been produced.
Especially for the top 20 Witnesses, where this can quickly amount to hundreds of thousands of blocks per month, I therefore recommend calculating only the last 1–3 months, as the query would otherwise take too long.
It’s also important to note that Witness Rewards are paid out as Hive Power, and the tracker calculates them based on the current Hive value at the time of the query, not the historical value at the time the rewards were actually received, i.e. as if you had held the Hive Power until the time of the query, including the the interest you earned on it.
The reason is that the blockchain internally calculates and accrues interest on Hive Power using its own unit (VEST), and the API unfortunately does not currently return the historical values in Hive.
The same issue applies to the Hive Power paid out as part of the Author/Curation Rewards.
Note that the Author/Curation Rewards also include the Beneficiary Rewards.
But now to the exciting question of how much a Witness earns per month:
For the Top 20, it’s approximately 14K Hive per month, for the Top 21, the reward drops to about 4,000 Hive per month, for the Top 30, it’s about 1,800, for the Top 50, it’s about 800, and for a Top 100 ranking, about 300 Hive per month, depending on the Hive Power voting for the witness and whether the witness has successfully generated the blocks.
Whether this is profitable depends heavily on the ranking and the current Hive price. For a Top 50 Witness, for example, at a Hive price of 10 cents, that would be about $80 per month, while for a Top 20 Witness, it would be about $1,400 per month.
