Buenos días, querida comunidad de Ladies of Hive.

LOH Contest #312: The most bipolar weather in the world
Good morning, dear Ladies of Hive community. We start a new week with a lot of enthusiasm, I hope you have a great week.
Let's start with this week's activity!
⛈ Temperate parts of the world typically experience four "seasons" of the year — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. But some parts of the world have a "dry season," a "rainy season," or "seasons" where there are frequent storms, extreme cold, extreme heat, El Niño, Harmattan, and so forth. Which is the most difficult season of the year for you? Why is it difficult, and what do you do to make it bearable?
I am from Bolivia, specifically from the city of La Paz. In this city, we can experience all four seasons in a single day; it can be sunny in the morning, rain in the late morning, very windy in the afternoon, and hail at nite.
Of course, I have already gotten used to these sudden weather changes, so whenever I go out, I try to bring everything I need so it doesn't affect me. A cap, an umbrella, and a jacket.
I also carry some lighter clothes so I don't get too hot, hehe. You can imagine that backpack must be quite large and heavy to carry every day, but I think we also gain muscle that way.
I think the time when I suffer the most is during the months of January and February, because they are months of intense rains that can cause various problems, such as: floods, landslides, and blocked drains, among others. That's why we usually clean the drains well to avoid all that and also wear appropriate shoes for the rain.
There is another time that is also complicated: these months when it is very hot and it is almost impossible to leave the house without an umbrella or hat, because the sun is so strong that you feel like it burns you right away. But this past year I noticed that the pattern changed a bit; one day it's quite hot, and the next or two days later, it can rain very heavily.
Unfortunately, all of this is due to the climatic phenomena we are experiencing, but well, we must take all possible precautions to avoid any type of accident.
As I mentioned, the first thing is to keep the drains clean and check the roofs to prevent water accumulation and flooding. We should also check for any holes or leaks where water might enter and repair them; this is in the case of the rainy season.
And in the case of the hot season, always have a hat, an umbrella, sunscreen, and loose cotton clothing. With all that, I think you can get through those terrible days; but above all, try not to go out too much when the sun is at its highest point.
🍂 If you live in an area of world where seasons are usually predicable and regular, do you like that stability, where weather usually follows expected patterns? Or do you like more variety, where weather is more changeable? Is there one season when you really thrive and you're the happiest?
In my city, we used to have these well-defined seasons, but now, as I mentioned, you can experience all four climates in a single day, haha.
Honestly, I would like to have more regular seasons, where you know it will only be hot or it will only rain, but since we've become so predictable, I don't think it matters much anymore. That said, we are very careful when these changes cause problems and material damage.
I got used to this type of weather, but what I really can't stand is the heat. I feel like it suffocates me and I can't breathe well, so on those days I prefer to go out as little as possible or in the late afternoon or evening to avoid fatigue.
In summary, the weather in my city is super changeable, but be careful: it's not the same in other cities in the country. In others, I think the seasons are more distinct.
The season I enjoy the most is autumn because I'm on the cold team, hehe, I really enjoy those cold days when you can be in bed all cozy watching a movie, having a hot chocolate, and being very comfortable at home.
I also enjoy those mild days when the sun doesn't feel so hot and there's a gentle breeze that invites you to walk without needing to wear an extra coat, you feel light, comfortable, and eager to keep strolling through the streets until late.
Those would be my two favorite scenarios, hehe. But obviously, if I have to go out in other seasons, I don't make a big deal out of it. What we should do is be prepared for any change because it has happened to me that I ended up completely soaked thinking it would be mild, or dying of heat because it seemed like it was going to be very cold.
That's why we've gotten used to carrying a backpack with all the necessary gear; yes, it tends to be a bit heavy and bulky, but, as they say, "better safe than sorry."
