Buenos días comunidad. No me había dado cuenta de que existen tantos murales por mi ciudad, y eso que solo paso por cierto lugares recurrentemente. Porque, si fuera conociendo más calles, seguramente encontraría mucho más arte.
En esta oportunidad hallé este bonito mural que comprende casi toda una esquina, es muy grande y tiene varios elementos llamativos; más adelante iré mencionando lo que más me llamó la atención.

Al centro de la imagen podemos apreciar a una cholita (mujer indígena y mestiza de Bolivia, principalmente de las culturas aimara y quechua). Esta vez está disfrazada de un personaje icónico y cultural de mi país, el cual es el “Ekeko”, dios andino de la abundancia, la prosperidad y la buena fortuna.
Este personaje trae encima varios objetos que simbolizan eso justamente eso, como casas, autos, comida, dinero, oro, entre otros. Además, este personaje tiene un día especial, que es el 24 de enero, cuando se festeja la fiesta de la Alasita, que se podría resumir como la creencia de lo que compras en miniatura se hará realidad si lo haces con fe.
Es muy linda esta festividad porque todo lo que venden en las ferias son cosas pequeñas, como si fueran para muñequitas o de juguete. Entonces, las personas compran aquello que quieren para el año; va desde cosas materiales hasta pedir graduarse de la universidad, tener pareja o tener buena salud.
Ahora continuemos con el mural. La cholita lleva encima varios objetos interesantes que ya mencionamos, pero también vemos que lleva instrumentos musicales, herramientas y una gran pancarta que dice “Vivas nos queremos”. Esto, imagino que hace referencia a un gran deseo de que las mujeres ya no sufran ningún tipo de violencia.
Alrededor de la señora se pueden ver muchas flores bonitas de todo tipo. Al costado izquierdo se ve algo así como un cuerno de la abundancia, que está lleno de comida y riquezas y que también acompaña la temática de este mural.
También se ven las banderas de varios países como Perú, Colombia, Uruguay, Brasil, Venezuela, Chile entre muchos otros, que deben simbolizar la unión de los países de Latinoamérica.
Por último, al costado izquierdo podemos ver las banderas de Bolivia y Argentina, que imagino representan la unión del artista con la cultura boliviana, un detalle muy lindo para tomar en cuenta. También está el letrero con el título de la obra: “Hijxs de polleras”.
Creo que el título tiene como principal objetivo mostrar a la cholita paceña y que todos provenimos de una familia con mujeres grandiosas, guerreras, cariñosas, valientes, y por eso también existe el deseo más grande de que no se atente contra los derechos que tenemos.
Realmente es un mural muy hermoso que pude encontrar. Espero les haya gustado mucho y me gustaría saber qué parte fue la que más les gustó.

Street Art Contest #316: We Want to Live
Good morning, community. I hadn't realized that there are so many murals in my city, and I only pass by certain places regularly. Because, if I were to get to know more streets, I would surely find much more art.
On this occasion, I found this beautiful mural that covers almost an entire corner. It is very large and has several eye-catching elements; later on, I will mention what caught my attention the most.

In the center of the image, we can see a cholita (an indigenous and mestizo woman from Bolivia, mainly from the Aymara and Quechua cultures). This time she is dressed as an iconic and cultural character from my country, which is the "Ekeko," Andean god of abundance, prosperity, and good fortune.
This character carries several objects that symbolize just that, such as houses, cars, food, money, gold, among others. Additionally, this character has a special day, which is January 24, when the Alasita festival is celebrated, which could be summarized as the belief that what you buy in miniature will come true if you do it with faith.
This festival is very lovely because everything sold at the fairs are small things, as if they were for dolls or toys. So, people buy what they want for the year; it ranges from material things to asking for graduation from university, finding a romantic partner, or having good health.
Now let's continue with the mural. The cholita carries several interesting objects that we have already mentioned, but we also see that she carries musical instruments, tools, and a large banner that says "We want to live." This, I imagine, refers to a strong desire for women to no longer suffer any kind of violence.
Around the lady, you can see many beautiful flowers of all kinds. On the left side, there is something resembling a cornucopia, which is filled with food and riches and also complements the theme of this mural.
You can also see the flags of various countries such as Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, among many others, which must symbolize the unity of the Latin American countries.
Lastly, on the left side, we can see the flags of Bolivia and Argentina, which I imagine represent the artist's connection with Bolivian culture, a very nice detail to take into account. There is also the sign with the title of the work: "Hijxs de polleras"
I believe the main goal of the title is to showcase the cholita paceña and that we all come from families with wonderful, warrior, loving, brave women, and that's why there is also the greatest desire for our rights not to be violated.
