Even though the month already started yesterday, I couldn’t resist doing my usual recap and review of the goals I’ve achieved over the past 31 days.
And I’m thrilled to report that, from the very first day of this year until now, I’ve DOUBLED the amount of Hive staked in my account! I went from just over 14,000 to 28,400 HIVE! 🍾
Aside from this great reason to celebrate, I’m getting closer and closer to 30,000 Hive! And I hope to reach that milestone as early as this coming October.
To that end, my daily posts and the consistently improving quality of my content have earned me over 1,000 HIVE in author rewards—1,071, to be exact—and 145 HIVE in curator rewards. Adding the 1,000 HIVE I earned from Power Up to this total gave my account’s value a nice boost—in nominal HIVE terms. Unfortunately, for many months now—and despite my gradual increase in Hive stake—the value of my account has not exceeded $1,300. This is a bit disappointing. Over a year ago, I purchased a considerable amount of Hive, which I hold on Binance.
And unfortunately, the value of that Hive has been dropping dramatically. I admit that I no longer expect to recoup the dollar value I originally invested. I’m sorry that a project with so much potential hasn’t been able to take off and hasn’t managed to generate as much market traction as it did before I joined the community.
But let’s focus on the positives now. I’m motivated to keep making progress with my accumulated HIVE and to continue strengthening my account… Even if it were to eventually drop to zero dollars in value, should the token experience a massive depreciation.
At least one thing is certain: I have to admit that I’ve gained a lot from this community since I joined—not only in terms of connections but also in terms of the friendships that have formed, some of which arose from people’s actual presence in the community. Unfortunately, one of the people I met at HiveFest#7 has already left the platform, but we still exchange messages to this day.
That experience, in and of itself, is already something really great!
