Aprender a sobrellevar las batallas/Learning to Cope with Life's Struggles [ESP/ENG]

Hello, dear friends at @holos.lotus. Greetings and blessings. Today I’d like to share a thought that’s been on my mind these past few days, following certain events that have made me reflect on this—especially because there comes a point in life when you must learn to cope with your struggles, know when to face them, or simply let them go and not waste your energy on them.

When I talk about battles, I’m referring to different perspectives—whether they’re economic, social, or family problems, or personal issues like your health, or some difficulty that makes you feel exhausted day after day or like you can’t handle it. But in the end, we learn to cope with them and to know when to face them head-on or carefully consider how to let them go, because there are things we can solve on our own, while others are simply beyond our control. It’s like when the earthquake struck the country—it’s an event we can’t control with our own hands, and it’s hard to learn to live with it and find a way to overcome the pain or the financial hardship that hits you hard after losing everything.

Likewise, a situation that I’d say is within our control—such as a problem with another person or an issue with our health—is something we try to resolve, whether by asking for help or finding a way to turn it around and find a better path. To a certain extent, we have the power to control it or at least do something before it gets worse, But as I mentioned before, there are things that happen that simply don’t turn out that way, and from that we must learn to differentiate and not let those battles we simply can’t handle consume us; we just have to move forward, analyzing and reflecting on what happened so we don’t fall into the same trap again.

Sure, it’s easy to say, but it’s so hard to cope with in the moment. It’s like a neighbor once told me: when it comes to the economy, it’s a battle that gets harder to endure every day, or when the power goes out for several hours—it feels like an ordeal that she didn’t know how long she’d have to endure. These are things that certainly hit hard in the moment, but they shouldn’t mean the end of your life—rather, they’re an obstacle, a battle you must overcome without letting it consume you. Even though it’s not easy, it’s something you can turn around or at least have some control over, because there are battles that simply don’t turn out that way and that you can’t control. Life always offers you different paths: the path of running, the path of pausing and moving on, or simply staying put and doing nothing. you just have to know the right moment and choose the right path for it.
