Hello, dear friends at @Womentribe—greetings and blessings! Today I’m here to talk to you about the Initiative From @syllem—it's a pleasure to be part of this, and I invite @yaslenysofia to share her thoughts on the matter.

I’ve always thought that pretty words and good deeds don’t always make you improve or change; sometimes it takes a touch of harsh reality to realize that you have to do it—not because you’re a masochist or anything like that, but because when you’re always thinking that life is all sunshine and roses, something that falls outside of that can shock us so much that we aren’t always able to react. That doesn’t mean it applies to everyone—for some, a kind word or a good deed really does help them simply change course and go after what they want, but for others, that effect doesn’t happen, and even if someone says something like they like being treated badly or having things told to them straight, it’s not really because they want it that way—it’s simply the jolt they need so their brain can process what’s really going on and they can make the change as soon as possible.

This also applies when we reach a point where we say, “I can’t take this anymore; I’m done,” or when someone tells us something we didn’t want to hear but that we ultimately needed to hear—because that’s how we learn from it and truly understand the situation. At least for me, there are certain moments when I find it better to have people tell me things as they are, even if they sound harsh, but that somehow helps me see the other person’s perspective, and I can use that insight to reach a point that works in my favor and allows me to improve. I’ve also had to realize that when I reach my limit—when I can no longer handle the situation and seek to change it at all costs— because it wears me down not only physically but also mentally—and at that point, it’s necessary to change everything and find a better way to move forward.

There have been several points in my life—both at work and in my daily routine—when I’ve found myself thinking, “I can’t take this anymore; I have to change it no matter what,” or “I’ll find a way to make myself feel better about continuing with it,” since sometimes, depending on the circumstances, even a small change can improve everything—though other times it’s necessary to start over completely, because the exhaustion or the feeling that you’re drowning while doing or living through it is so unbearable that you simply can’t go on like that, and for that reason, it’s better to take a step back and find another way to move forward with something that actually makes you feel good.
Thank you very much for reading this. I hope you enjoy it. I'd be happy to respond to any comments, and if you'd like to know more about me, here are my:
