Hasta que un día por una discusión con su hermana es lastimada por el prometido de su hermana, con el fuego de su poder, sintiéndose sola, sin poder estar al menos con sus abuelos quienes si la aprecian, conoce a Reiya, un ogro, el futuro líder del mejor clan de los ayakashi, por decir el superior de todos, ocasionando los celos de su hermana y las ansias de sus padres por ser condescendientes con su hija, aunque para Reiya son personas que han hecho sufrir a Yuzu y prefiere alejarlas, demostrándole a ella que se ha enamorada y solo quiere hacerla feliz, sin embargo, para Yuzu no será tan sencillo ya que no ha recibido amor de sus más cercanos, tendrá que aprender a confiar y creer en el nuevo amor que le profesan, como la novia de un ogro, cuenta con su primera temporada de 12 capítulos.
