Here are some views from my weekly big walk around town.
For my newer followers, I am bad at saying no so, when asked to help distribute a local news paper so that the community could enjoy local stories from local journalists in an analog old school newspaper, I said yes. This is the view before I start out really early in the morning.
You may get a little tired of me showing pictures of fall in this small town but I will never tire of sharing one of my 4 favourite seasons.
Speaking of fall, here are a couple rides seemingly rocking Autumn colours. Not much of an American car guy myself but I love what they have done with Corvettes the last few years!
I drove past Mater to see what was going on and he seems to have added a couple attendees to his party with a tractor and harvesting gear to join his new friend the tailer.
I find myself feeling relieved with every field I see harvested. I know what does into planting in this region which is one of the largest food producers in Canada. I also know that some fields go unharvested because of rain/frost/timing so I love to see as many of them brought in before the killing frost as possible.
Back in town, I have to slow down to appreciate the slower pace of fall and the colours along the drive.
Imagine a laneway like this only 4 blocks from the central square and city hall. I do love a small town.
In the city center, it is sunny and mild enough for people to still be enjoying their lunches out doors and not be covered in layers and coats.
From the steps of city hall looking north, it almost would look like it is summer except for the reduced traffic on the sidewalks.
Back to the title shot, the downtown business association commissioned a mural to highlight the local music scene and name a whole host of artists. Most will know Justin Bieber but none of the other local musicians. So great to see the lesser local stars make their mark on the local music scene in this piece.
The big news of the day is that indoor golf is BACK! We run a digital marketing company and one of our seasonal clients is the indoor golf facility at Fore Everyone Golf We exchange advertising, social media and SEO services for indoor golf every week so you may get a sampling of our exploits during the winter.
The day wouldn't be complete without a trip to the dog park. Birdhouse tree is apparently celebrating the season with a nice change of leaf colour.
The sun has gone down on another big step day as the weather stays mild a bit longer. Coming months might show you some snow but, for now, we are enjoying the moderate part of fall.
Thanks for walking with me.
