Maybe One Day I Will Have a Fluffy Little Friend Waiting for Me

I don't have a pet at the moment. I actually want a pet but my parents are not ready to get one yet. They think that I'm still to young or just irresponsible. i admit they aren't completely wrong because i actually forget somethings myself, hehe. But I hope that they will allow me to have a pet one day.

If I could choose then I would get a dog. I am fond of dogs they are cute and very loyal. Like who wouldn't want a loyal companion? If I had the choice I would get a Bolognese. They are so fluffy and tiny that I would probably spend half my time just looking at him, hehe. I like their feature that they look soft. So yeah, I would love to have one around the house.

I think the best thing about having a pet would be having a little friend at home. After coming back from school I could spend some time playing with my dog. I could talk to it about any random things even though it obviously would not understand me. I think that it would still be fun. Having a pet also seems nice when you are having a bad day because you can just sit with them and feel a little better.

Of course if you adopt a dog there would be a lot of work to do. Like they need food and water every day. As far as I know they needed to be cleaned and you have to go on a walk with them. You also have to pay attention when they are behaving weirdly so that you can realize if they are sick or not. I think the hardest thing for me would be keeping up with everything even when I have homework or I could be tired.

A pet is not a toy that you can just play with them and enjoy when you are in the mood. It will be a big responsibility, it's like taking care of a baby. And that is probably why my parents want me to wait until I am older.

For now I don't have a fluffy Bolognese running around my house. Maybe someday though, hehe. Until then I guess I can keep watching cute dog videos and imagine what it would be like to have one.

Yep, you're very much right, pets comes with a lot of responsibility. I could remember when we have one, I have to clean his mess(sometimes), then we have some fun time whenever I'm back from school. It wasn't for me, It's for the family, so the responsibility was not on me alone😅

Hi @zoe01! A Bolognese is a lovely choice: small, soft and very affectionate. And you are already thinking about the right things, like daily food, cleaning, walks and health checks. That is exactly what a good owner needs to understand.

I have a dog too, @choko.shock, a Lagotto Romagnolo. He is wonderful, but he really does need time every single day. And next weekend our daughter, who is 22, will get a dog of her own: a Lagotto Romagnolo puppy. They will be so happy together!

Until your day comes, watching cute dog videos is not a bad plan. 😄

Anch'io ho un cane, @choko.shock, un Lagotto Romagnolo. È meraviglioso, ma richiede tempo ogni singolo giorno. E il prossimo weekend nostra figlia, che ha 22 anni, avrà un cane tutto suo: un cucciolo di Lagotto Romagnolo. Saranno molto felici insieme!
