Quick Takes
Short takes on music, films, TV, anime, books, manga, audiobooks, and podcasts — the one-line reactions people leave when they scrobble, published to the Hive blockchain so each one is owned by its author. 1,500 takes and counting.
- A girl has died, and the other one is missing. The missing one is found , but she has no memory of what happened. The culprit came as a surprise, reminds me of "Mind Hunter" for a moment. One thing worth noticing: "It's in the eys." And this reminds me of, "The eyes Chico. They never liew." - Al Pacino. There is another thing I love about Patrick. He plays with mind and hunches. Although he is a narcissist; but he never denies possibilities. He accepts that the chances of something happening the other way is always there. Show is kind of my type. There is a lot to analyse.
- last night, I slept half-way through the episode. Lol! The story is of a dead banker, who had gone broke for years. But did not mention it a lot, and he also had a secret room. Jane and his team, actually team and Jane, discovers the culprit behind it. Oh the lust for money is so intense that one is willing to kill her own husband. Anyways, spoiled it for you. By the way, we used to watch CID (an Indian drama), and this show just gives the same vibe. Only difference is there is not Patrick Jane to facsinate us all.
- Oh just when I thought it to be a linear season, guess what, it is way more than that. Two murders and statuary rape; friends doing the killing and one of the father doing the illegal act. One more thing: this show is not just Patrick Jane show, everyone especially Lisbon plays quite a role. It reminds me of Lucifer, but of course, completely different story. So what is your favorite animal?
- Patrick - our protagonist - is indeed a mentalist. He really thinks differently, and he is lucky too. Because, the mortal man, once again, was at the brink of death.. For the episode: a young teenage girl ahs died, while the team and Patrick suspects secret lover to kill her, but they were wrong. As it was the business persons from the place she works. Guess what? The local sheriff is involved too. Maybe one more episode, then I will call it a day for the fun-life.
- Two solved cases in a single episode, and that too being the first one. Detective series really have this thing of starting with a good pace. Well, it has like seven-seasons, and first season has 23 episodes. I do not know how long, I will be able to stay hooked with the show. But for now, I am enjoying it. Red John makes me more curious.
- YuYu Hakusho genuinely surprised me. It’s fast, compact, and doesn’t waste time on nonsense. And funny enough, the season 2 rumor here actually feels real — it’s being talked about everywhere and it makes sense considering how well it was received. It’s one of the few live‑action adaptations that truly deserves to continue.
