Ride or Die - Season1 Ep8 (Final Saga)

Review by @afrikens 🏆#89 🔥17 🎵60 🎬20 📺13 · 2h · of Ride or Die

When a mistake is made, it cost a lifetime to pay for the consequences at times and this is why Whiptail has to go through the point of death just to pay for her crimes or mistake made from the past.

No one will be able to pacify a heart that was shattered by a bitter revelation of what have always been believed to be real love and genuine but ended up been a shadow or mirage. It's of no doubt that Debbie is really passing through a very hard time, digesting how she has been deceived for 25years and she does not seem to be ready to hear anything anymore than to desist from anything whatsoever that may remind her of Whiptail or Judith whatever. Not even their book club circle of friends.

Whiptail on the other hand, knowing fully well how Debbie hates her now due to the revelation of which she originally meant to be a protection for her back then, decided to hunt down redback no matter what, not even after the director has come for her to bring her back into the agency just to ensure that Redback is assassinated.

I love how the scenes were not rushed even as this is the last episode of the season. It was ensured that the necessary things are done and seen by the viewers in the aspect of Debbie and her husband. I love how it was acted to know that when you don't know the value of what you have and you lose it, even when you are able to have it back, you cannot get it the way it has always been before and that is why I love how Debbie neglected David her husband in the car, going out to the public facing them all alone. Like, if you could do it all alone when things are good then you should be able to do it all alone when things get bad.

Looking back to how so many loved ones' lives were lost in the past episodes, this series get to pin the fact that whatever whatever fight or its course, there will be innocent lives paying for the sins of the offenders. Reason why I pitied Queenie for losing her mum at that very young age with so many secrets hidden from her about herself. Not until she saw the secret key kept in the case of the telephone landline.

Although Whiptail might be at the edge of losing her life to pay for her sins but it was still wonderful how even at the point of death and giving up on life, all she could ever think about was the genuine friendship of 25 years she built right from the very first day they met up till the last moment when she yelled at her base on what she got to know through Redback.

It's just so wonderful to have a friend like family but then, what is the usefulness when her life was going to go for it and she will never be able to make it up to Debbie whom she just lost.

Probably lucky charm still works and that's why Sam could get hold of the conversation between Whiptail, Redback and the director to eliminate Whiptail in place of protecting the agency. Like who does that to child or a woman you have been raising right from her teenage years till around 50 years of age, just because you want to protect your empire.

Just a bit reconsideration made Debbie got to see the real Whiptail, outside all revelations or recorded tapes. The love was really genuine and it had her teary because she had chased her off to death already.

Will Whiptail live again after Redback had already placed her in her tomb of death or is she really gonna survive it and how? And until Redback is dead, is there really gonna be rest for Whiptail and Debbie? The answers are right here in the last episode of the season and I think the best I can derive from this last episode is that, there's gonna be a season 2. Not even when Queenie has decided to join the agency as well to be an assassin so no doubt, but I can't wait to see it anyway.

Right from start to end of the episode, the cast and crew were up to the task with every actors killing their roles with no loopholes. No excessive dragging of scenes or unnecessary scenes to prolong the series so I'd say it's a really a great series to watch.

Thanks for reading through 🤗
