Hola querida comunidad de Hive, espero se encuentren muy bien. Siempre es grato poder venir a esta comunidad para hablarles de películas que veo, porque siempre ando viendo unas más gratas que otras y esta ocasión quiero venir hablarles de “Los Extraños” o “The Strays” en inglés.
Hello dear Hive community, I hope you are doing well. It is always a pleasure to come to this community to talk about the movies I watch, because I am always watching some more pleasant than others and this time I want to talk about "Los Extraños" or "The Strays" in English.
En estos días de gripe, sin ánimos de nada me apetecía ver una película que hiciera despertar mis sentidos, por eso siempre las películas de suspensos o thriller son una buena opción. Pero antes de empezar hablar de la película en sí, hacemos de información técnica. Es una película dirigida con Nathaniel Martello-White y también fue quien hizo el guion, en los productores contamos con Valentina Brazzini, Tristan Goligher, Rob Watson, en la parte del elenco las actuaciones de Ashley Madekwe (Neve/Cheryl), Jorden Myrie (Marvin), Bukky Bakray (Abigail), Samuel Paul Small (Sebastian), Justin Salinger (Ian) entre otros actores.
In these days of flu, I felt like watching a movie that would awaken my senses, that's why suspense or thriller movies are always a good choice. But before we start talking about the film itself, let's do some technical information. It is a film directed by Nathaniel Martello-White who also wrote the script, in the producers we have Valentina Brazzini, Tristan Goligher, Rob Watson, in the cast we have Ashley Madekwe (Neve/Cheryl), Jorden Myrie (Marvin), Bukky Bakray (Abigail), Samuel Paul Small (Sebastian), Justin Salinger (Ian) among other actors.
Bueno la historia como dice trata de una mujer que debe estar en sus cuarenta y algo, la cual tiene una familia perfecta pero las cosas no son como parece, con esta sinopsis me atrapo y puedo decir que va por lo mismo, al principio vemos como ella aparenta ser alguien que no es un ejemplo de ello es que practica como va hablar u oculta su verdadero cabello, desde un principio vemos señales de que es una falsa de vida y como siempre he visto que es una apariencia por fuera pero su familia es un infierno, así que fue sorprende que no es así aquí, el problema era ella.
Well the story as it says is about a woman who must be in her forties and something, which has a perfect family but things are not as it seems, with this synopsis caught me and I can say that goes for the same, at first we see how she appears to be someone who is not an example of this is that she practices how she will talk or hides her real hair, from the beginning we see signs that is a fake life and as I have always seen that is an appearance on the outside but her family is hell, so it was surprising that it is not so here, the problem was her.
He de decir que sentía que la mujer tenía algún trauma grave, como en la introducción vemos que ella tiene que dejar su vida pasada y ella la destierra, juraba que estaba alucinando, algo que no aguante es que era muy racial la película y como no entendía nada se me hacía muy insoportable la actitud de Neve, controladora, perfeccionista y sobre todo muy falsa. Todo el tiempo que el hoy hablar sentí que está viendo alguien muy hipócrita y en lo corta que es la película puedo decir que le agarre rabia por sus actitudes y de cierta manera eso habla muy bien de la actriz.
I must say that I felt that the woman had some serious trauma, as in the introduction we see that she has to leave her past life and she banishes it, I swore I was hallucinating, something that I could not stand is that the film was very racial and as I did not understand anything it was very unbearable Neve's attitude, controlling, perfectionist and above all very false. All the time he was talking today I felt that I was watching someone very hypocritical and in the short film I can say that I got angry for his attitudes and in a way that speaks very well of the actress.
No mentiré, me aburrió los primeros treinta minuto, sentía que nada tenía sentido y en vez de emocionarme por la intriga lo que hacía era estresarme. Solo todo cobro sentido (escenas que no entendí) cuando de la boca de un personaje salió una sagrada palabra y los flashback aparecieron puedo jurar que es la parte más interesante y intrigante de la película. Por eso cuando paso retomo mi interés, pero las escenas posteriores fueron un poco de mi decepción y no fue por la película si no por las decisiones de Neve (que me hicieron odiarla más).
I won't lie, I was bored for the first thirty minutes, I felt that nothing made sense and instead of being excited by the intrigue what it did was stress me out. It only made sense (scenes I didn't understand) when a holy word came out of a character's mouth and the flashbacks appeared, I can swear it's the most interesting and intriguing part of the movie. That's why when it happened I was interested again, but the later scenes were a bit of my disappointment and it wasn't because of the movie but because of Neve's decisions (which made me hate her more).
No quiero hablar más de lo que debería, porque solo un punto interesante tiene esta filmación si la develo siento que no vale la pena verla, pero he de decir que tanto Neve esta traumada con su pasado, tanto que todo lo relacionado con lo negro y las personas de color es como alergia para ella por otro lado los otros dos personajes tiene razón de tener sus traumas ya que lo reflejan en su actitud y en ciertos diálogos en lo que podemos observar su rencor y tristeza, siento que si no fuera por Marvin y Abigail el suspenso no existiera.
I do not want to talk more than I should, because only one interesting point has this film if I reveal it I feel it is not worth watching, but I must say that both Neve is traumatized with her past, so much that everything related to black and colored people is like allergy for her on the other hand the other two characters are right to have their traumas as they reflect it in their attitude and in certain dialogues in which we can see their resentment and sadness, I feel that if it were not for Marvin and Abigail the suspense would not exist.
El final fue irónico y no me dio miedo, de cierta manera me pareció bastante bochornoso. Neve me pareció tan mala madre uy no, por eso no pude empatizar con nada de a película a pesar de la escenografía y la cámara quería que lo hicieras (como el momento donde ella vomito por los nervios), le doy un 4/10 si lo guionistas quisiesen podrían sacar secuela de esta entrega pero ojala que no lo hagan, bueno eso fue todo, gracias cinéfilos.
The ending was ironic and not scary, in a way I found it quite embarrassing. Neve seemed so bad mother uy no, so I could not empathize with anything in the movie despite the scenery and the camera wanted you to do it (like the moment where she vomited from nerves), I give it a 4/10 if the screenwriters wanted to make a sequel to this installment but hopefully they do not, well that was all, thanks moviegoers.
