Hello, Internet people Today I want to tell you about one of my favourite horror movies, it's The Eye, a pretty good movie from Hong Kong. Loaded (of course) with the asian horror style that I love so much and with a quite interesting story, but I think the best thing about it is the composition of its horror scenes and the dynamism.

Cargada (como no) del estilo terror asiático que tanto me encanta y con una historia bastante interesante, pero creo que lo mejor que tiene es la composición de sus escenas de terror y el dinamismo.
Mann is a girl who went blind at the age of 2, at the age of 20 she is operated on with a cornea transplant that will give her sight again, however, with Mann's new sense also comes a new "gift" that will torment her on her journey to discover what her operation has to do with what she now sees.

More than for its story, I think the best thing about the film is the composition of its horror scenes, for starters the horror scenes start very early in the film, which ensures interest and fear in the viewer, in addition these scenes are varied, not predictable and grow in frequency exponentially so we can feel the same kind of terror as the protagonist.
Más que por su historia, creo que lo mejor de la película es la composición de sus escenas de terror, para empezar las escenas de terror empiezan desde muy temprano en la película, lo que asegura el interés y el miedo en el espectador, además dichas escenas son variadas, nada predecibles y van creciendo de frecuencia exponencialmente, así que podemos sentir el mismo tipo de terror que la protagonista.
The cinematography is excellent, mostly for its shots, I feel that it is what stands out the most, the shots are very well placed for the needs of each scene. The film has a lacklustre colour palette, very typical of the genre, although it also has a warm palette at times (unbecoming of the genre, but well used, it looks great).
La fotografía es excelsa, más que todo por sus planos, siento que es lo que más destaca, los planos están muy bien ubicados para las necesidades de cada escena. La cinta tiene una paleta de colores deslucida, muy típica del género, aunque también tiene a veces una paleta cálida (impropio del género pero que bien empleado queda muy bien)
The story is quite interesting and very unusual (I don't want to tell it so as not to make spoilers) the reason why the protagonist acquires such a gift, we could say that the paranormal and the biological are usually separated, but in this film they made it one (if you see the film you will understand what I am talking about.
La historia es bastante interesante y muy poco común (no quiero contarla para no hacer spoilers) la razón por la que la protagonista adquiere dicho don, podríamos decir que lo paranormal y lo biológico normalmente se separa, pero en esta cinta lo hicieron uno solo (si ven la película entenderán de que les hablo.
The design of the ghosts is really good, they are very scary, even when they look "normal" there is a certain behaviour or action that is the cause of the fear, like when the protagonist is being run through by a boy who looked totally corporeal and normal, or a boy who despite looking pale could be said to be normal but has erratic behaviour.
El diseño de los fantasmas es realmente bueno, asustan mucho, incluso cuando lucen "normales" hay cierto comportamiento o cierta acción que es la causante del miedo, como cuando a la protagonista la atraviesa un niño que parecía totalmente corpóreo y normal, o de un niño que pese a verse pálido podría decirse que es normal, pero tiene comportamientos erráticos.
Without a doubt it is a film that I would recommend for fans of the genre. The performances are very good (especially from the main character), the scares are guaranteed and that bizarre touch that only Asian films have is what obviously stands out the most.
Sin lugar a dudas es una cinta que recomendaría para fans del género. Las actuaciones son muy buenas (sobre todo de la protagonista) los sustos están asegurados y ese toque bizarro que solo tiene las películas asiáticas es lo que obviamente destaca más.
