Hello, internet people. If you have seen my posts in this community, you will know that I am more of a movie watcher than a series, however, this is one of the few that I have found very good and I think it is because of the good development of its characters. This is a reboot of a Colombian novel called "La Dama de Troya" and although I don't know if it is a good adaptation or not, as an independent series (which was the idea that I saw it) I liked it a lot.

Si han visto mis post en esta comunidad, sabrán que yo soy más de ver películas que series, sin embargo, esta es una de las pocas que me han parecido muy buenas y creo que es por el buen desarrollo de sus personajes. Esta es un Reboot de una novela colombiana llamada "La Dama de Troya" y aunque ignoro si es una buena adaptación o no, como serie independiente (que fue con la idea que la vi) me gustó bastante.
Fernanda Linares is a girl who is engaged to a young man (Santiago) from a nearby town called Ichamal, the day of the wedding they return to the small lands of Santiago to spend their wedding night and it is when some hooded men kill Santiago, the leader of them abuses Fernanda and later orders her to be murdered. Miraculously alive, Fernanda is found by her husband's best friends and helped by them. Once recovered, Fernanda vows revenge and devises a plan to make the one who ruined her life pay.
Fernanda Linares es una muchacha que está comprometida con un joven (Santiago) de un pueblo cercano llamado Ichamal, el día del casamiento vuelven a las pequeñas tierras de Santiago para pasar su noche de bodas y es cuando unos hombres encapuchados matan a Santiago, y el líder de estos abusa de Fernanda y posteriormente la manda a asesinar. Viva de milagro, Fernanda es encontrada por los mejores amigos de su esposo y auxiliada por ellos. Una vez recuperada, Fernanda jura venganza y traza un plan para hacer pagar a quien le desgració la vida.
In terms of story and script it is very good, the story is gripping from minute one,the good performances only reinforce this fact and while the dynamism of "La Desalmada" is very good, the last episode totally lacked this (but we'll talk about that later.
A nivel de historia y guion esta muy bien, la historia es atrapante desde el minuto uno, las buenas actuaciones solo refuerzan este hecho y si bien el dinamismo de La Desalmada es muy buena, el último episodio careció de esto totalmente (pero de eso hablaremos más adelante.
The cinematography as well as the performances are very good. The cinematography is simple but well worked, as usual, the characters have a specific type of clothing that helps their image and decipher their personalities through the way they look (which I like a lot because it helps a graphic description).
La fotografía tanto como las actuaciones son muy buenas. La fotografía es sencilla pero bien trabajada, como es costumbre, los personajes tienen un tipo de vestimenta especifica que ayuda a su imagen y a descifrar sus personalidades a través de como lucen (cosa que me gusta mucho ya que ayuda a un descripción gráfica)
Now let's talk about what for me is the best thing about the series and that is its character development. Both important and secondary characters have a good development. Next I will analyze some of them:
Ahora hablemos de lo que para mi es lo mejor que tiene la serie y es su desarrollo de personajes. Tanto personajes importantes como secundarios tiene un buen desarrollo. A continuación analizaré a alguno de estos:
Let's start with Fernanda: Being the protagonist she clearly has to have a marked development, in Fernanda's case we see an innocent and very cheerful girl who as a result of her trauma becomes totally strong, serious and is also one of those people who does not hesitate for a second to tell people what she does not like, that's why her lines are satisfactory for the viewer. We can see her transform into this woman, and soften a little only when she meets Rafael (the main character), however, this does not take her away from who she is now and it is extremely satisfying to see everything that surrounds this character.
Empecemos por Fernanda: Siendo la protagonista claramente tiene que tener un desarrollo marcado sí o sí, en el caso de Fernanda vemos a un muchacha inocente y muy alegre que a raíz de su trauma se vuelve totalmente fuerte, seria y además es de las personas que no duda ni un segundo en decirle a la gente lo que no le gusta, es por eso que sus líneas son satisfactorias para el espectador. Podemos verla transformarse en esta mujer, y ablandarse un poco solo al conocer a Rafael (el protagonista) si embargo, esto no la aleja de quien es ahora y es sumamente satisfactorio de ver todo lo que envuelve a este personaje.
Rafael: The protagonist is the son of the villain of this story, however, he is nothing like his father because he was busy in his business, Rafael was raised by his nanny and his mother, which made his character very sweet. Rafael is but one of the biggest victims of his father's nefarious plans and Fernanda's revenge plans, he remains in the middle divided by the love he feels for both of them. The reactions and feelings of this character are quite complex and José Ron knew how to interpret and reflect them to perfection.
Rafael: Es el protagonista es hijo del villano de esta historia sin embargo, no se parece en nada a su padre ya que por estar ocupado en sus negocios, Rafael fue criado por su nana y su madre, lo que hizo que el carácter de este fuese muy dulce. Rafael no es más que una de las más grandes victimas de los planes nefastos de su padre y los planes de venganza de Fernanda, permanece en el medio dividido por el amor que siente por ambos. Las reacciones y sentimientos de este personaje son bastante complejos y José Ron lo supo interpretar y reflejar a la perfección
Octavio: I have to take my hat off to Eduardo Santa Marina, this is his first villain after playing leading men and gallants, and I have to say he did excellent job. Octavio reminds me a lot of Negan from The Walking dead as both are villains that you can't help but love. There are villains that you not only hate but appreciate and so is Octavio, he is a charismatic villain, there are times when he makes you laugh, others when he scares you and others when you just enjoy seeing him cornered or scared. In addition, Octavio's cunning, cynicism and convincing power are to be admired. He makes it very clear that he is a man who has no manners, he was a peasant that got his fortune by marrying a millionaire woman and simply with his tricks and cunning he made his fortune grow, he is bad behaved and scandalous (which is funny when you see him surrounded by people of high society) however, he is also a man of weapons and knows very well how to intimidate. An endearing character
Octavio: Tengo que quitarme el sombre ante Eduardo Santa Marina, este es su primer villano después de interpretar a protagonistas y galanes y tengo que decir que lo hizo excelente. Octavio me recuerda mucho a Negan de The Walking dead ya que ambos son villanos que no puedes evitar querer. Hay villanos que no solo odias sino que aprecias y así es Octavio, es un villano carismático, hay veces en las que te hace reír, otras en las que te asusta y otras en las que simplemente disfrutas verlo acorralado o asustado. Además la astucia, el cinismo y el poder de convencimiento de Octavio son dignos de admirar. Te deja muy en claro que es un hombre que no tiene modales, era un campesino que Obtuvo la fortuna por casarse con una mujer millonaria y simplemente con sus tretas y astucia hizo crecer dicha fortuna, es mal portado y escandaloso (lo que causa gracia cuando le ves rodado de gente de la alta sociedad) sin embargo, también es un hombre de armas tomar y sabe muy bien como amedrentar. Un personaje entrañable.
However the last episode personally I didn't like it, let's just say that the endings of each character I did like but it was the structure that was the bad thing about this finale. I feel like they left for the final episode all the denouements, so each one felt very abrupt and left some questions unanswered. There will probably be a second season, but considering it's a "probably" the first part should have resolved those holes or gaps in the script. Otherwise, I must say this is an excellent production and highly recommended.
Ahora, el último episodio personalmente no me gustó, digamos que los finales de cada personaje sí me gustaron pero fue la estructura lo malo de este final. Siento que dejaron para el capítulo final todos los desenlaces, por lo que cada uno se sintió muy abrupto y dejó algunas preguntas sin responder. Es probable que haya una segunda temporada, pero teniendo en cuenta que es un "probablemente" la primera parte debería haber resuelto esos agujeros o lagunas del guion. Por lo demás, debo decir que es una producción excelente y muy recomendable.
