Hola amigos de Hive, espero estén súper bien.
La historia trata de Eddie Palmer (Justin Timberlake [Fuente]) un hombre que acaba de salir en libertad condicional después de haber pasado 12 años en prisión, pero que no es una mala persona, solo que en su juventud tomo malas decisiones. Era un excelente jugador de fútbol americano en preparatoria, tanto así, que fue becado para ir a la universidad pero que después de una lesión se quedó sin beca y por consiguiente también sin universidad, así que tuvo que volver a su pueblo donde vivía con su abuela Vivian (June Squibb [Fuente]), en ese momento comenzaron las malas decisiones que lo llevaron a prisión. Al salir de la cárcel, Palmer regresa a su pueblo para vivir con su abuela, no debe meterse en problemas y encontrar trabajo, algo que se le dificulta ya que las personas del pueblo lo ven como una amenaza, pero que al final logra obtener como conserje en la escuela, donde con el tiempo se gana la confianza de su jefe por su dedicación y buen trabajo.
Vivian, posee un remolque ubicado al lado de su casa donde vive un niño muy particular, Sam Burdetter (Ryder Allen) con su madre Shelly Burdetter (Juno Temple [Fuente]) ella es drogadicta y descuida a su hijo, se va de viaje con su novio por varios días y durante ese tiempo Vivian cuida del niño, esto para Palmer al principio es algo molesto pero como no es él quien lo cuida deja a su abuela hacerlo. Sam es un niño alegre, extrovertido e inocente, que le gustan los dibujos animados de princesa, juega a la hora del té y por estas razones sufre de acoso no solo de los otros niños en la escuela sino también de algunos padres intolerantes de sus compañeros.
Tras la muerte de Vivian, Palmer no quiere hacerse cargo del niño pero sabe que no puede dejarlo solo, así que espera cuidarlo hasta que su madre vuelva de viaje, durante este tiempo ocurren cambios en Palmer ya que empieza a sentir empatía, aceptación y cariño hacia el niño, tanto así, que busca cómo obtener la tutela legal, pero que se le hace difícil por su condición de libertad condicional.
Otro personaje importante en la trama es el de Maggi (Alisha Wainwright Fuente]) es la maestra cariñosa de Sam, ella ayuda al niño en la escuela a sentirse cómodo y educa a sus compañeros de clases para aceptar lo que les parece diferente, además comparte con Palmer hasta tener una relación amorosa.

Cuando vuelve la madre del niño todo se complica para Palmer ya que él no quiere que Sam pase por lo que el pasó, no lo iba a abandonar, así que decide estar al pendiente del niño, un día durante una discusión entre Shelly y su novio, este empuja al niño mientras Palmer está presente, al no poder soportar ver esta situación se lleva al pequeño con intención de no volver pero sabe que eso no es conveniente para su situación legal así que regresa a la casa. La madre no presenta cargos y entiende que no puede cuidar del niño y toma la decisión entregar la tutela a Palmer.
Conclusión.
En particular me gusto el mensaje de la película, nos habla de inclusión escolar, aceptación, tolerancia, empatía, como se puede hacer sufrir a un niño por ser diferente, para Sam era normal que le gustaran las cosas que por cultura nos han enseñado que son para niñas pero que en realidad no debería ser así ya que hay un dicho que me gusta mucho que dice “Para los gustos, existen los colores".

Upon leaving prison, Palmer returns to his town to live with his grandmother, he must not get into trouble and find work, something that is difficult for him since the people of the town see him as a threat, but that in the end he manages to obtain as janitor at school, where over time he earns his boss's trust for his dedication and good work.
Vivian, has a trailer located next to her house where a very particular child lives, Sam Burdetter (Ryder Allen) with his mother Shelly Burdetter (Juno Temple[Fuente]), she is a drug addict and neglects her son, she goes on a trip with her boyfriend for several days and during that time Vivian takes care of the child, this for Palmer at first is somewhat annoying but since he is not the one who takes care of it, he lets his grandmother do it. Sam is a cheerful, outgoing and innocent child, who likes princess cartoons, plays at tea time and for these reasons he suffers from bullying not only from the other children at school but also from some intolerant parents of his classmates.
After Vivian's death, Palmer does not want to take care of the child but knows that he cannot leave him alone, so he hopes to take care of him until his mother returns from a trip, during this time changes occur in Palmer as he begins to feel empathy, acceptance and affection towards the child, so much so, that he seeks to obtain legal guardianship, but that it is difficult for him due to his condition of probation.
Another important character in the plot is that of Maggi (Alisha Wainwright [Fuente]) is Sam's loving teacher, she helps the boy at school to feel comfortable and educates his classmates to accept what seems different to them, also shares with Palmer until having a loving relationship.
When the boy's mother returns, everything gets complicated for Palmer since he doesn't want Sam to go through what he happened, he wasn't going to abandon him, so he decides to keep an eye on the boy, one day during an argument between Shelly and her boyfriend , this pushes the child while Palmer is present, not being able to bear to see this situation takes the child with the intention of not returning but knows that this is not convenient for his legal situation so he returns home. The mother does not press charges and understands that she cannot care for the child and makes the decision to hand over guardianship to Palmer.
Conclusion.
I particularly liked the message of the film, it tells us about school inclusion, acceptance, tolerance, empathy, how you can make a child suffer for being different, for Sam it was normal for him to like things that by culture we have been taught that They are for girls but it really shouldn't be that way as there is a saying that I really like that says "For tastes, there are colors."
