   Muy buenas noches, y feliz inicio de semana amigos cinéfilos de esta comunidad. El día de ayer fue exclusivo para el descanso, la recreación y por supuesto para la escritura. me emocinó tanto una de las películas que no quise pasar por alto mi reseña así que, prepárense para leer mi opinión sobre esta historia y las razones por las cuales la agregué a mi lista de favoritas.

   No tengo pensado hacer spoiler, simplemente quiero emitir mi punto de vista y opinión sobre lo observado.

   La película se titula Palmer y trata de un exconvicto que luego de haber cumplido condena de doce años de prisión, regresa a su pueblo natal para compartir hogar con su abuela. La actitud de Palmer es serena, con disposición para reivindicarse, insertarse en la sociedad, trabajar y pasar la página.

   Good evening, and happy beginning of the week, my fellow movie lovers of this community. Yesterday was exclusively for rest, recreation and of course writing. I was so moved by one of the movies that I didn't want to skip my review so, get ready to read my opinion about this story and the reasons why I added it to my list of favorites.

   I don't plan on spoilers, I simply want to give my point of view and opinion on what I watched.

   The movie is titled Palmer and is about an ex-convict who after serving twelve years in prison, returns to his hometown to share a home with his grandmother. Palmer's attitude is serene, with a willingness to vindicate himself, insert himself into society, work and turn the page.

   Pero, ¿qué ocurre en la película? ¿Qué secretos esconde? y ¿Por qué nos mantiene con tantas expectativas hasta el final?

   But what happens in the film, what secrets does it hide, and why does it keep us with so many expectations until the end?

   Les cuento que en estos momentos mientras escribo me me cuesta un poco expresar mis pensamientos, sentimientos y emociones con la historia de esta película. No tengo palabras para expresar claramente mis ideas.

   Además es la primera vez que observo a un niño interpretando a un personaje con conducta diferente, en otros casos, si el personaje hubiese sido una persona adulta quizá se hablara de "conducta amanerada" pero entiendo que se trata de un niño y por ende, se procura utilizar términos más sutiles, menos despectivos y sin etiquetas.

   Lo primero que me impactó la sencillez y naturalidad del niño al interpretar al personaje. Le daría la puntuación más alta por tan pulcra actuación y por haber tenido la valentía de representar al personaje. Quizá repito los halago pero no puedo evitar destacar la profundidad con la que este joven actor iterpretó su personaje. Su trabajo no solo fue impecable, sino también valiente como les dije anteriormente y a la vez conmovedora, sin duda alguna logró transmitir con cada diálogo gran autenticidad.

   I tell you that right now as I write I am having a little trouble expressing my thoughts, feelings and emotions with the story of this movie. I don't have the words to clearly express my thoughts.

   It is also the first time I see a child playing a character with different behavior, in other cases, if the character would have been an adult, maybe we would talk about "mannered behavior" but I understand that this is a child and therefore, we try to use more subtle terms, less derogatory and without labels.

   The first thing that struck me was the simplicity and naturalness of the child in playing the character. I would give him the highest score for such a neat performance and for having the courage to play the character. I may be repeating the compliments but I can't help but highlight the depth with which this young actor iterpreted his character. His work was not only impeccable, but also brave as I told you before and at the same time moving, without a doubt he managed to transmit with each dialogue great authenticity.

   Dado este contexto y frente a una realidad social donde la discriminación y la exclusión con este tipo de personas es tan fuerte y marcado, se presenta dentro de la trama la importancia de la aceptación, la ruptura de estereotipos, y la empatía a través de los protagonistas Palmer el exconvicto y Sam el hijo de una madre envuelta en un mundo de droga y prostitución. En este film magistralmente escrito, ambos protagonistas encuentran la manera de desafiar el contexto donde hacen vida trascendiendo barreras impuestas por la sociedad y dejan una lección de vida para padres, madres, hermanos, amigos, sociedad en general.

   Aplausos para el director Fisher Stevens, a los productores Charlie Corwin, Daniel Nadler, Charles B. Wessler, Sidney Kimmel y John Penotti y por supuesto a sus protagonistas Justin Timberlalake (Palmer) y Ryder Allen (Sam).

   Quedé encantada con la película y mi puntuación para ella es 10/10 🌟

   Given this context and facing a social reality where discrimination and exclusion with this type of people is so strong and marked, the plot presents the importance of acceptance, the breaking of stereotypes, and empathy through the protagonists Palmer the ex-convict and Sam the son of a mother involved in a world of drugs and prostitution. In this masterfully written film, both protagonists find a way to challenge the context in which they live transcending barriers imposed by society and leave a life lesson for fathers, mothers, brothers, friends, society in general.

   Applause for the director Fisher Stevens, the producers Charlie Corwin, Daniel Nadler, Charles B. Wessler, Sidney Kimmel and John Penotti and of course to its stars Justin Timberlalake (Palmer) and Ryder Allen (Sam).

   I was delighted with the film and my score for it is 10/10 🌟.

   "Palmer", es de esas películas que deja mucho para reflexionar, meditar e incluso cuestionar. Eddie Palmer, interpretado por Justin Timberlake es lamentable un ex criminal, aunque realmente cuando conoces su historia te das cuenta que no es como parece. El hecho es que estuvo en prisión pagando una condena de la cual solo lo culparon a él, cuando no actuó solo. Todo eso arruinó su futuro, pues cuando los hechos se dieron él era jna estrella del fútbol americano, y todo cambió desde aquel día.

   "Palmer" is one of those movies that leaves a lot to reflect, meditate and even question. Eddie Palmer, played by Justin Timberlake is an unfortunate ex-criminal, although when you really know his story you realize that it is not as it seems. The fact is that he was in prison paying a sentence for which only he was blamed, when he didn't act alone. All that ruined his future, because when the events took place he was a soccer star, and everything changed since that day.

   

   La película comienza mostrando lo duro que es otra alguien salir de prisión, y siempre lo he pensado así, para los que realmente deciden ser mejores y estuvieron presos por crímenes menores, pues difícilmente alguien contrata a un ex convicto, o incluso lo quiere cerca. Somos seres llenos de prejuicios y nuestras miradas son los peores jueces que existen, más allá de lo que podamos decir. Sin embargo, Eddie decide volver a su pueblo y vivir junto a su anciana abuela, pero desde luego en 10 años todo ha cambiado.

   Más que basarse en la historia de un ex criminal, se basa en las historias cruzadas de Palmer y un niño llamado Sam, quien resulta ser vecino de su abuela y esta quiere mucho, el niño no tiene padre y su madre a menudo lo abandona, lo cual crea cierta conexión entre Eddie y Sam. Más allá de eso, la película nos muestra a Sam como un niño "diferente", que desde mi punto de vista no lo muestra gay, lo muestra como un niño con mucha lógica y si, con gusto pocos comunes para ser niño y no niña, pero esto es algo que también debe llevarnos a reflexionar.

We are beings full of prejudices and our looks are the worst judges there are, beyond what we can say. However, Eddie decides to return to his hometown and live with his elderly grandmother, but of course in 10 years everything has changed.

   Rather than being based on the story of an ex-criminal, it is based on the cross stories of Palmer and a boy named Sam, who happens to be his grandmother's neighbor and is very fond of her, the boy has no father and his mother often abandons him, which creates a certain connection between Eddie and Sam. Beyond that, the film shows us Sam as a "different" child, which from my point of view does not show him as gay, it shows him as a child with a lot of logic and yes, with uncommon taste to be a boy and not a girl, but this is something that should also lead us to reflect.

   

   Recuerdo que cuando era niña odiaba jugar con muñecas, me gustaban los carritos pues mi papá es mecánico, así que me prohibian poder jugar con ellos, porque la sociedad se hace ideas de que los carritos son para los niños y las muñecas para las niñas, y en una ocasion le dije a mis padres: "cómo quieren que a los niños les gusten las niñas, si no los dejan jugar con muñecas" jajaja una lógica que yo me habia hecho. Pues Sam, juega con muñecas y todo su comportamiento le resulta extraño a Palmer jajaja, pero a pesar de ello y a diferencia de los demás "adultos", Palmer decide proteger a Sam y aceptar sus gustos por muy extraños que parezcan.

   I remember that when I was a child I hated playing with dolls, I liked cars because my dad is a mechanic, so I was forbidden to play with them, because society has ideas that cars are for boys and dolls for girls, and once I told my parents: "how do they want boys to like girls, if they do not let them play with dolls" hahaha a logic that I had made myself. Well, Sam plays with dolls and all his behavior seems strange to Palmer hahaha, but despite this and unlike the other "adults", Palmer decides to protect Sam and accept his tastes no matter how strange they seem.

   

   Me gusta que Palmer le dice: si sabes que eres niño y Sam responde que si, él estaba claro de lo que era, pero también de sus gustos y sabia que podía ser el primer niño haciendo las cosas que le gustaban. Con esto, no defiendo la conducta de Sam, ni digo que dejen que sus hijos actúen o no así, simplemente digo, que como sociedad estamos cuadrados y lo que realmente deberíamos prohibir y ver como malo no lo hacemos.

   I like that Palmer tells him: if you know you are a child and Sam answers yes, he was clear of what he was, but also of his tastes and knew that he could be the first child doing the things he liked. With this, I am not defending Sam's behavior, nor am I saying that they should let their children act like that or not, I am simply saying that as a society we are square and what we should really prohibit and see as bad we do not do it.

   Palmer termina demostrando que es bueno y que las segundas oportunidades existen. Sam, sufre a causa de su madre, pues su condición y su abandono no es algo bueno para él, ya que no le puede ofrecer una infancia y un hogar digno. Además de esto está la maestra de Sam, quien es una excelente persona. Y así es como varias historias se cruzan en esta película para dejarnos a un Justin Timberlake demasiado varonil, hermoso y protector. Además de esto, la historia nos hace unos giños donde nos muestra que él no era tan culpable como lo hicieron ver.

   Palmer ends up proving that he is good and that second chances do exist. Sam, suffers because of his mother, because her condition and her abandonment is not a good thing for him, since she cannot offer him a childhood and a decent home. On top of this there is Sam's teacher, who is an excellent person. And this is how several stories intersect in this film to leave us with a Justin Timberlake who is too manly, beautiful and protective. In addition to this, the story makes us a few winks where it shows us that he was not as guilty as he was made out to be.

   Hola hive, hoy les vengo a hablar de una película que me había salido mucho en recomendaciones de tiktok y sinceramente muchas de estas recomendaciones termino ignorándolas porque veo muchas al día, sin embargo esta me salió tanto que dije “vamos a darle una oportunidad” además de que realmente me llamo la atención, así que por eso es que hoy les vengo a hablar de Palmer

   Palmer es una película de drama lanzada en el 2021, dirigida por Fisher Stevens y protagonizada por Justin Timberlake, la pelicula nos muestra a palmer, quien salió recientemente de la cárcel y volvió al pueblo en busca de Integrarse nuevamente a la sociedad, sin embargo no todo es color de rosa para este personaje debido a que tiene que sobrellevar algunos inconvenientes en el camino. La película tuvo un estreno en digital en la plataforma de Apple TV. Sin más que decir ahora si comencemos!

   Cabe destacar que realmente no tenia idea de la existencia de esta película, no la había escuchado sin embargo al ver varias escenas en tiktok me pareció que esta película podía tener unas historia interesante, sin embargo no tenía expectativas ni muy buenas ni muy malas, simplemente quería echarle un vistazo haber que tenía Palmer para ofrecernos.

   Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película y creo que en este caso me gustaría destacar la actuación de Justin Timberlake y la de Ryder Allen (Sam) porque ambos hacen un excelente trabajo, ademas la dinámica que tienen ambos personajes es bastante genial y es lo interesante de la película, así que sin duda diría que este es el aspecto más importante de esta película.

   La historia en sí de la película es bastante enganchante, no solo porque suena interesante ver las dificultades que pasa nuestro protagonista para poder integrarse nuevamente a la sociedad sino que ademas empieza a cuidar de su vecino y el ver como palmer va creciendo como personaje y va entendiendo a Sam se crea una linda relación casi padre-hijo y todo el drama que desencadena esta situación siento que es el peak de la historia.

   La dirección de la película está bastante bien, no hay alguna escena que me haya sorprendido demasiado pero en términos generales tiene una buena estética y un buen manejo del drama, con algunas escenas de humor y otras de romance pero que al final suman a la historia y no son solo escenas vacías.

   Aunque esta película no tiene una historia confuse ni mucho menos, si me gusta el como relacionan cada situación y como hacen que todo cierre, que aunque no son cosas muy complejas hacen que la historia se sienta bastante sólida y que la experiencia al ver la película sea bastante agradable.

   Palmer tiene una duración de 110 min, haciendo que sea una película relativamente corta o estándar, pero en ningún momento se llega a hacer totalmente pesada ya que tiene sus momentos felices y tristes de una forma bastante equilibrada que nos mantiene pensando en “¿que pasará?”, así que aunque tiene momentos mejores que otros en términos generales es bastante entretenida.

   También siento que es una película con un bonito mensaje y que nos suma mucho como espectadores y es que no debemos tildar a ninguna persona de “rara” por solo pensar diferente o tener intereses distintos, cada persona es un mundo y se debe respetar, pero también podemos ver la historia desde otro punto de vista y pensar en que no nos debe importar lo que digan los demás o lo que nos quieran imponer, simplemente tenemos que ser nosotros mismos. Como dije, siento que el mensaje es la verdadera esencia de esta película y nos deja un aprendizaje.

   En conclusión es una película bastante entretenida que vale la pena echarle un vistazo, tampoco voy a decir que es una película perfecta pero si es entretenida y tiene una buena historia ya es suficiente para verla, así que si, está totalmente recomendada!

   Hi hive, today I am going to talk about a movie that I have seen a lot in tiktok recommendations and honestly many of these recommendations I end up ignoring them because I see so many a day, however this one came out so much that I said "let's give it a chance" plus it really caught my attention, so that's why today I am going to talk about Palmer.

   Palmer is a drama movie released in 2021, directed by Fisher Stevens and starring Justin Timberlake, the movie shows us palmer, who recently got out of prison and returned to town looking to integrate back into society, however not everything is rosy for this character because he has to overcome some inconveniences along the way. The movie had a digital release on the Apple TV platform. Without further ado, let's get started!

   It should be noted that I really had no idea of the existence of this movie, I had not heard of it, however when I saw several scenes in tiktok I thought that this movie could have an interesting story, however I had no expectations neither very good nor very bad, I just wanted to take a look to see what Palmer had to offer.

   First I always like to start talking about what I liked the most about the movie and I think in this case I would like to highlight the performance of Justin Timberlake and Ryder Allen (Sam) because they both do an excellent job, also the dynamic that both characters have is pretty cool and is the interesting part of the movie, so without a doubt I would say that this is the most important aspect of this movie.

   The story itself of the film is quite engaging, not only because it sounds interesting to see the difficulties that our protagonist goes through to integrate back into society but also because he begins to take care of his neighbor and seeing how Palmer grows as a character and understands Sam creates a nice relationship almost father-son and all the drama that triggers this situation I feel is the peak of the story.

   The direction of the film is pretty good, there is no scene that surprised me too much but in general terms it has a good aesthetic and a good handling of the drama, with some scenes of humor and others of romance but in the end they add to the story and are not just empty scenes.

   Although this movie doesn't have a confusing story by any means, I do like the way they relate each situation and how they bring everything to a close, which although not very complex things make the story feel quite solid and the viewing experience quite enjoyable.

   Palmer has a running time of 110 min, making it a relatively short or standard movie, but at no point does it become totally heavy as it has its happy and sad moments in a fairly balanced way that keeps us thinking "what will happen?", so even though it has better moments than others overall it is quite entertaining.

   I also feel that it is a movie with a nice message and that it adds a lot to us as viewers and that is that we should not label any person as "weird" for just thinking differently or having different interests, each person is a world and should be respected, but we can also see the story from another point of view and think that we should not care about what others say or what they want to impose on us, we just have to be ourselves. As I said, I feel that the message is the true essence of this movie and leaves us a learning experience.

   In conclusion it's a pretty entertaining movie that is worth a look, I'm not going to say it's a perfect movie either but if it's entertaining and has a good story that's enough to watch it, so yes, it's totally recommended!

   ENGLISH

   After having seen one of my favorite superhero movies in a long time "Spiderman: Across the Spider-verse" I think it is necessary to return to reality and see one or another movie that is not linked to a great franchise or is determined to forge a cinematographic universe that lasts years in development.

   

   

   That's how I came across "Palmer", an exclusive Apple TV movie that premiered in 2021, directed by Fisher Stevens and starring Justin Timberlake and a young man named Ryder Allen who (To be honest) quite surprised me with his performance.

   The story of "Palmer" centers on an ex-con named Eddie Palmer, who, after being paroled, decides to return to his grandmother's house to look for a job and start his life from scratch.

   Eddie is a man clearly tormented by his past, sorry for the crimes he committed and willing to show everyone that his time in jail made him change.

   The point is that next to him lives Sam Burdette, a boy who is growing up in a rather dysfunctional home and whose only window to normalcy is when he shares his spare time with Vivián, Palmer's grandmother.

   It's quite apparent from the start that Sam is a "different" kid, with behaviors that his peers and friends might label as "girly" leading him to suffer constant abuse at school, home, and basically anywhere he comes near.

   I think that anyone who reads this premise will be able to see where the shots are going, in essence, Palmer is a film that seeks to redeem a destroyed man, making him live with a child who, although it does not align with his morality scheme, is going to End up giving meaning to your life.

   It's generic, yes, but I like its so "predictable" nature, that instead of focusing on giving us an incredible plot twist or breaking our hearts with a tragic event, it dedicates its entire duration to building a father and son bond between two characters through the ones that are nice to see.

   Although logically there is an LGBT theme, I like that Sam's sexual identity is always treated with naturalness and respect, demonstrating those problems that a child like him would face in reality, and trying to subtly suggest how we can counteract those prejudices.

   

   

   This is not exactly the thematic focus of the film, I want to be very clear with this, and it is that Palmer seems more interested in exploring fatherhood from an unconventional point of view, where sometimes, we can find support in places where it is not. we hope, something that can nourish both us and those who are caring for us in the first place.

   Palmer is not a particularly outstanding film, its structure is generic, the direction has nothing particularly remarkable and it is easy to predict how it will end, but this does not mean that it can't be entertaining and emotional.

   Luego de haber visto una de mis películas de superhéroes favoritas en mucho tiempo "Spiderman: Across the Spider-verse" creo que es necesario volver a la realidad y ver una que otra película que no este vinculada con una gran franquicia o este empeñada en forjar un universo cinematográfico que dure allos en desarollo.

   

   

   Así fue como me topé con "Palmer", una película exclusiva de Apple TV que se estrenó en el 2021, dirigida por Fisher Stevens y protagonizada por Justin Timberlake y un joven llamado Ryder Allen que (Siendo honestos) me sorprendió bastante con su performance.

   La historia de "Palmer" se centra en un exconvicto llamado Eddie Palmer, quien, luego de quedar en libertad provisional decide volver a la casa de su abuela para buscar un trabajo y empezar su vida desde 0.

   Eddie es un hombre claramente atormentado por su pasado, arrepentido de los crímenes que cometió y dispuesto a demostrarle a todos que su paso por la cárcel le hizo cambiar.

   La cuestión es que a su lado vive Sam Burdette, un niño que está creciendo en un hogar bastante disfuncional y cuya única ventana a la normalidad se encuentra al compartir sus ratos libres con Vivían, la abuela de Palmer.

   Desde el principio es bastante evidente que Sam es un niño "diferente", con conductas que sus compañeros y amigos podrían tachar de "afeminadas" llevándolo a sufrir de abusos constantes en la escuela, su hogar, y básicamente cualquier lugar a dónde se acerque.

   Creo que cualquiera que lea está premisa podrá ver por dónde van los tiros, en esencia, Palmer es una película que busca redimir a un hombre destruido, haciéndolo convivir con un niño que, si bien no se alinea con su esquema de moralidad, va a terminar dándole sentido a su vida.

   Es genérica, si, pero me agrada está naturaleza tan "predecible", que en vez de enfocarse en darnos un plot twist increíble o romper nuestros corazones con un evento trágico dedica toda su duración a construir un vínculo de padre e hijo entre dos personajes a los que da gusto ver.

   Aunque lógicamente hay una temática LGBT, me agrada que la identidad sexual de Sam siempre se trata con naturalidad y respeto, demostrando aquellos problemas que un niño como el enfrentaría en la realidad, y tratando de sugerir sutilmente como podemos contrarrestar esos prejuicios.

   

   

   Este no es precisamente el foco temático de la película, quiero ser muy claro con esto, y es que Palmer parece más interesado en explorar la paternidad desde un punto de vista no convencional, en dónde a veces, podemos encontrar apoyo en lugares donde no lo esperamos, algo que puede nurtrirnos tanto a nosotros como a quienes nos están cuidando en primer lugar.

   Palmer no es un filme particularmente destacado, su estructura es genérica, la dirección no tiene nada particularmente destacable y es fácil predecir como va a terminar, pero esto no quita que sea entretenida y emotiva.

   Esta película la conocí gracias a Tik tok, es más creo que puedo hacer una sección de todas las películas que he buscado y visto gracias a estas recomendaciones jaja, desde hace días se había vitalizador unos clips de esta película en donde muestran la relación de Palmer con Sam, pero lastimosamente no había podido verla, esto gracias a que aquí en Venezuela es difícil ver películas en la plataforma de Apple TV y en otras no estaba.

   Ya por fin pudimos verlas y obviamente quiero compartirles mi opinión.

   Sinopsis: luego de estar más de 10 años en la cárcel, Palmer regresa a casa e intenta rehacer su vida, pero como para todo ex convicto no es nada fácil, en el transcurso de su adaptación se hace amigo de un pequeño niño al cual su madre suele abandonar con la vecina e irse por meses.

Aprender no a aceptar sino a respetar lo que te parezca diferente o lo que simplemente no entiendas. En todas las familias hay personas ocultando sus gustos por el miedo a ser juzgado e incluso a no tener más el apoyo de su familia.

   Palmer es simplemente una película de un hombre y un niño los cuales por diferentes razones no son comprendidos y tienen que sufrir las consecuencias de esto. Puedo decir que la actuación de Justin como Palmer fue bastante buena, me gustó su manera de apoyar siempre a Sam como un padre realmente lo haría. El niño que hace a Sam lo hizo maravilloso, me pareció que estuvo mostrando durante toda la película como se siente ser un niño y ser juzgado por tus gustos.

   Quiero hablarles de PALMER la última película de Justin Timberlake. Tenía Sin ver a este actor desde Amigos con Beneficios y Bad Teacher las dos del 2.011, no porque no haya actuado en otras películas, porque si lo hizo, pero, no me habían llamado la atención como para dedicar mi tiempo en verlas, hasta ahora cuando en enero de este año estrenaron esta nueva película a través de la plataforma digital Apple TV+ donde hasta el momento se encuentra disponible. Una película de drama de 1 hora y 50 minutos pero que en ningún momento me sentí aburrida o encontré alguna escena sin sentido. Es cierto que es una historia que hemos visto en otras ocasiones donde dos personas se conocen, pasan tiempo juntas y terminan queriéndose, en particular me gustan este tipo de películas es tal el caso de Halcón (1987) de Silvestre Stallone y Gigantes de acero (2011) con Hugh Jackman, la diferencia con estas películas es que los personajes son padres e hijos pero de igual manera cuando la historia comienza eran unos desconocidos.

   La historia trata de Eddie Palmer (Justin Timberlake [Fuente]) un hombre que acaba de salir en libertad condicional después de haber pasado 12 años en prisión, pero que no es una mala persona, solo que en su juventud tomo malas decisiones.    Cuando vuelve la madre del niño todo se complica para Palmer ya que él no quiere que Sam pase por lo que el pasó, no lo iba a abandonar, así que decide estar al pendiente del niño, un día durante una discusión entre Shelly y su novio, este empuja al niño mientras Palmer está presente, al no poder soportar ver esta situación se lleva al pequeño con intención de no volver pero sabe que eso no es conveniente para su situación legal así que regresa a la casa. La madre no presenta cargos y entiende que no puede cuidar del niño y toma la decisión entregar la tutela a Palmer.

   En particular me gusto el mensaje de la película, nos habla de inclusión escolar, aceptación, tolerancia, empatía, como se puede hacer sufrir a un niño por ser diferente, para Sam era normal que le gustaran las cosas que por cultura nos han enseñado que son para niñas pero que en realidad no debería ser así ya que hay un dicho que me gusta mucho que dice “Para los gustos, existen los colores".

   Todos los personajes del filme son muy sólidos, bien desarrollados y con motivaciones fuertes, que permite crear un vínculo con los protagonistas, principalmente con Palmer (Justin Timberlake), ya que ves como pasa del rechazo a sentir orgullo por Sam, y al mismo tiempo, como forma su nueva viva y sigue adelante a pesar de las adversidades, y gran culpa de esto lo tiene la maestra Maggi (Alisha Wainwright) quien lo enseña a ser más tolerable, entre otras cosas.

   All the characters in the film are very solid, well developed and with strong motivations, which allows creating a bond with the protagonists, mainly with Palmer (Justin Timberlake), since you see how he goes from rejection to feeling pride in Sam, and at the same time , as he forms his new life and continues forward despite adversity, and the teacher Maggi (Alisha Wainwright) has a great fault for this, who teaches him to be more tolerable, among other things.

   El guión de la película también es muy sólido, al igual que su dirección, pues hay diferentes escenas que son muy buenas y terminan siendo un crítica a "la perfección de la sociedad", como por ejemplo cuando Palmer entra en la iglesia junto a su abuela e instantáneamente todos empiezan a murmurar, o como todos los adultos voltean la mirada hacia Sam solo cuando ven que es "diferente".

   En conclusión, me pareció muy buena la película, tiene algunos problemas, pero en líneas generales es muy sólida, las actuaciones me parecieron más que correctas y lo mejor del filme fue sin dudas Sam, que gracias a su inocencia y su fuerza interior, logra que te encariñes con él.
