Saludos para todos mis queridos amigos de esta comunidad. En esta oportunidad comparto con ustedes esta reseña basada en la película de comedia “Dick y Jane, ladrones de risas”.
Greetings to all my dear friends of this community. In this opportunity I share with you this review based on the comedy movie "Fun with Dick and Jane".
Incluso hasta las peores crisis se pueden asimilar con algo de buen humor. Ese es el caso de esta reseña basada en la película “Dick y Jane, ladrones de risas”, una historia que nos abre el telón hacía una aventura llena de risas y mucha diversión por parte de una familia que se enfrenta ante un gran problema que los llevará a tomar una salida tan inesperada como disparatada.
Dick Harper (Jim Carrey) es un hombre trabajador que durante muchos años se ha dedicado a su ocupación de una manera ejemplar y que le ha permitido sacar adelante a su familia. Su esposa Jane, es una mujer que también aporta en el hogar con su trabajo y de esta forma los dos invierten su tiempo y atención en lo que será el futuro de su pequeño hijo llamado Billy, quien está bajo el cuidado de su niñera Blanca mientras sus padres trabajan.
Dick ha sido un fiel trabajador empeñado en cada día dar lo mejor de sí, y este esfuerzo parece ser recompensado cuando recibe una excelente noticia, un ascenso a un cargo que ni siquiera había imaginado y que vislumbra el despegue del éxito laboral para la vida de Dick y su familia. Tal llega a ser la emoción y la expectativa, que le dice a su esposa que considere dejar su trabajo a fin de pasar más tiempo en casa y compartir con su hijo Billy.
Pero en tan solo un abrir y cerrar de ojos, la verdad sale a luz y deja en evidencia un gran fraude que se venía desarrollando en la empresa Globodyne, la misma en la que Dick empezaba a saborear las mieles de su nuevo cargo como vicepresidente de comunicaciones. El caos es inevitable, y Dick junto con muchísimos trabajadores más quedan en la calle, mientras los artífices de tal fraude parecen escapar con las manos limpias.
Even the worst crises can be assimilated with some good humor. That is the case of this review based on the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane", a story that opens the curtain to an adventure full of laughter and a lot of fun by a family facing a big problem that will lead them to take an unexpected and crazy way out.
Dick Harper (Jim Carrey) is a hard-working man who for many years has dedicated himself to his occupation in an exemplary manner that has allowed him to provide for his family. His wife, Jane, is a woman who also contributes to the household with her work and in this way the two invest their time and attention in what will be the future of their little son named Billy, who is under the care of his nanny Blanca while his parents work.
Dick has been a faithful worker determined to give his best every day, and this effort seems to be rewarded when he receives excellent news, a promotion to a position he had not even imagined and that glimpses the takeoff of job success for the life of Dick and his family. Such is the excitement and anticipation that he tells his wife to consider quitting her job so he can spend more time at home and spend time with his son Billy.
But in the blink of an eye, the truth comes out and exposes a major fraud that had been going on at Globodyne, the same company where Dick was just beginning to enjoy the joys of his new position as Vice President of Communications. Chaos is inevitable, and Dick and many other workers are left on the street, while the architects of the fraud seem to escape with clean hands.
Al principio la noticia inquieta un poco a su esposa Jane que justo en ese instante le daba la información de que ya no trabajaría más. Pero confiando en ese lema de “América es la tierra de las oportunidades” Dick confía en que conseguirá algo que les permitirá recobrar la estabilidad económica y laboral. Así empiezan a pasar los días y con esto, aumenta el desespero por parte de Dick que no encuentra una oferta de trabajo acorde a su reciente nombramiento.
El tiempo sigue pasando, y entre opciones e intentos fallidos la situación cada vez es más exigente. Dick se encuentra al borde del colapso al ver a su esposa e hijo sufrir las consecuencias de aquel gran fraude por parte de sus antiguos jefes y de la empresa a la que tanto le dio. Un ultimátum a lo que en su momento ha llegado a ser su hogar, detona en Dick una reacción que dará vida al más insólito y alocado de todos los planes.
Jane decide seguirle el juego a su esposo pensando en que nada de eso funcionará, sin saber que aquello que no parecía tener sentido los convertirá en la más inexperta y torpe pareja de ladrones nunca antes vista. Y así, Dick y Jane se inician en lo que sería una carrera desenfrenada llena de situaciones tan inusuales como divertidas. Y de esta forma, lo que al principio empezó como un matrimonio ejemplar ahora se presentaba como el complot perfecto de las más extrañas y graciosas escenas de robo que ni te podrías imaginar.
Después de esto, Dick y Jane deciden preparar un último golpe con el propósito de firmar su retiro, pero las cosas no salen como lo tenían pensado. Adicionalmente, las autoridades han revelado la captura de algunos exintegrantes de la empresa Globodyne quienes han caído muy bajo en casos ilegales a fin de costearse la vida mientras el presidente de la empresa Jack MacCallister (Alec Baldwin) y el contador Frank Bascombe siguen saliendo airosos de este gran problema.
At first, the news was a bit disturbing to his wife Jane, who at that very moment told him that he would no longer be working. But trusting in the motto "America is the land of opportunity" Dick is confident that he will get something that will allow them to regain economic and labor stability. As the days go by, Dick's desperation increases as he cannot find a job offer in line with his recent appointment.
Time goes by, and between options and failed attempts, the situation becomes more and more demanding. Dick finds himself on the verge of collapse as he watches his wife and son suffer the consequences of that great fraud on the part of his former bosses and the company to which he gave so much. An ultimatum to what had once been his home triggers a reaction in Dick that will bring to life the most outlandish and crazy of all plans.
Jane decides to play along with her husband, thinking that none of it will work, not knowing that what seemed to make no sense will turn them into the most inexperienced and clumsy pair of thieves ever seen. And so, Dick and Jane embark on what would become a wild ride full of situations as unusual as they are funny. And so, what at first began as an exemplary marriage now presented itself as the perfect plot of the strangest and funniest robbery scenes you could not even imagine.
After this, Dick and Jane decide to prepare one last heist with the purpose of signing their retirement, but things don't turn out as they had planned. In addition, the authorities have revealed the capture of some former members of the Globodyne company who have fallen very low in illegal cases in order to make a living while company president Jack MacCallister (Alec Baldwin) and accountant Frank Bascombe continue to get out of this big trouble.
Las cosas cambian totalmente de color cuando las autoridades señalan a su próximo objetivo: Dick Harper, quien ahora es acusado de ser cómplice en la debacle de Globodyne. Ahora Dick deberá dejar atrás su papel de malhechor para convertirse en un hombre que busca justicia y redención para él y para todos sus excompañeros de trabajo. Con el apoyo incondicional de su esposa Jane, Dick logra persuadir al contador Frank Bascombe para engañar a Jack MacCallister y así poder estafarlo para compensar el daño que este les causó con la quiebra de Globodyne.
¿Podrán Dick y Jane lograr su cometido? ¿O una vez más se impondrá la anarquía y el poder egoísta de un ambicioso y cruel millonario? El final de esta película nos dará la respuesta a todo esto y mucho más.
Como anécdota a la reseña de esta película, recuerdo que fue mi hermana quien hace mucho tiempo me la recomendó, diciéndome que era un film de comedia que le había gustado mucho. Logré conseguirla prestada con un amigo, y una noche reunidos como familia logramos verla y creo que me quedaría corto al explicar lo mucho que disfrutamos y reímos con esta película.
El buen humor se siente con todo su frenesí entre todos los personajes, y de principio a fin hay escenas que te hacen vivir ese buen estado de ánimo. Me gustó mucho el personaje de Jack MacCallister (Alec Baldwin) porque a pesar de ser literalmente el villano, no tiene tanta participación en la película, pero cada vez que lo hace logra despertar el humor con sus extrañas frases o su raro comportamiento.
Things take a dramatic turn for the worse when the authorities pinpoint their next target: Dick Harper, who is now accused of being an accomplice in the Globodyne debacle. Now Dick must leave behind his role as an evildoer to become a man seeking justice and redemption for himself and all of his former co-workers. With the unconditional support of his wife Jane, Dick manages to persuade the accountant Frank Bascombe to cheat Jack MacCallister in order to swindle him to compensate for the damage he caused them with the bankruptcy of Globodyne.
Will Dick and Jane be able to achieve their goal, or will anarchy and the selfish power of an ambitious and cruel millionaire prevail once again? The end of this film will give us the answer to all this and much more.
As an anecdote to the review of this film, I remember that it was my sister who recommended it to me a long time ago, telling me that it was a comedy film that she had liked very much. I managed to borrow it from a friend, and one night we got together as a family to watch it and I think it would be an understatement to say how much we enjoyed and laughed with this movie.
The good humor is felt with all its frenzy among all the characters, and from beginning to end there are scenes that make you live that good mood. I really liked the character of Jack MacCallister (Alec Baldwin) because even though he is literally the villain, he doesn't have that much participation in the movie, but every time he does he manages to awaken humor with his strange phrases or his weird behavior.
A veces suele ser difícil encontrar alguna enseñanza, destacar alguna cualidad dentro de esta clase de películas pero para mí, pienso que en medio de toda esta historia se destaca el apoyo incondicional en el matrimonio y la familia, el ser diligente y no rendirse ante ninguna prueba que la vida nos pueda presentar. También resalta el espíritu de motivación y superación para alguien que quizás pueda estar por años persiguiendo el trabajo de sus sueños, y de repente tenga que enfrentarse a la peor de sus pesadillas como lo sería el desempleo.
Claro, con esto no quiero decir que si pasamos por períodos de crisis vamos a optar por robar una bodega o secuestrar a alguien. Más bien lo que quiero destacar es la importancia de no quedarnos de manos cruzadas ante situaciones inesperadas de la vida que atenten contra nuestro bienestar y la de nuestra familia.
En mi opinión, quizás el único punto débil de la película está en el final, y no es porque lo considere malo sino que la trama en si alcanza un punto álgido de escenas continuas que despiertan el sentido del humor a un gran nivel, pero al final se pierde un poco ese ritmo y no sientes lo mismo. En mi caso la primera vez que la vi me quedé pensando en que les faltó algo para cerrar con broche de oro una muy buena película de comedia.
Con todo y esto, “Dick y Jane, ladrones de risas” es una película de mis favoritas en el tema de comedia. Así que si no lo has visto aún, te invito a que lo hagas sin perder más tiempo, y si eres de los que como yo la has visto en varias ocasiones, bien vale la pena hacerlo y disfrutarlo una vez más.
Sometimes it is difficult to find some teaching, to highlight some quality within this kind of movies, but for me, I think that in the middle of all this story it highlights the unconditional support in marriage and family, to be diligent and not to give up before any trial that life can present us. It also highlights the spirit of motivation and self-improvement for someone who may have been chasing the job of his dreams for years, and suddenly has to face the worst of his nightmares such as unemployment.
Of course, with this I do not mean that if we go through periods of crisis we will choose to rob a warehouse or kidnap someone. Rather, what I want to emphasize is the importance of not standing idly by in the face of unexpected life situations that threaten our well-being and that of our family.
In my opinion, perhaps the only weak point of the film is in the ending, and it is not because I consider it bad but the plot itself reaches a high point of continuous scenes that awaken the sense of humor to a great level, but at the end it loses a little that rhythm and you do not feel the same. In my case, the first time I saw it, I was left thinking that they lacked something to close a very good comedy movie.
All in all, "Fun with Dick and Jane" is one of my favorite comedy movies. So if you haven't seen it yet, I invite you to do so without wasting any more time, and if you are one of those who, like me, have seen it several times, it is well worth it to do so and enjoy it once again.
