Seven episodes in, and Victor/Victrola feels like an important turning point for several characters.
Dan and Serena finally stop pretending that what they have is casual. I really like them together, especially because their relationship feels surprisingly genuine compared with almost everything happening around them. They're from completely different worlds, but somehow that's part of what makes them work.
Jenny, meanwhile, discovers something about her parents that changes the way she sees their separation. The Humphrey family drama has been quieter than everything happening on the Upper East Side, but I'm becoming more interested in Rufus and Lily's history with every episode.
But this episode belongs to Blair.
Nate disappoints her once again, and instead of simply watching Blair suffer through another episode, we see a completely different side of her at Victrola. She's impulsive, confident and finally willing to forget about everyone's expectations for a moment.
And then there's Chuck.
The dynamic between Chuck and Blair suddenly becomes much more interesting, and that final development definitely wasn't where I expected the series to go this early.
⭐ My Rating: 93/100
My favorite episode of the season so far. It moves several relationships forward, gives Blair one of her strongest episodes yet, and ends with a development that could completely change the group dynamic.
Now I'm genuinely curious to see what happens next.
