Luego de terminar de ver ¨YOU¨ una serie que personalmente, me gusto mucho. Me puse a buscar una nueva serie que pudiera complacer mis expectativas como consumidor de series. Estuve probando con muchas, y ninguna me terminaban de convencer. Hasta que halle esta que hoy les quiero presentar e invitar a ver.
After finishing watching ¨YOU¨ a series that I personally liked a lot. I started looking for a new series that could meet my expectations as a consumer of series. I was trying many, and none of them convinced me. Until I found this one that today I want to present and invite you to watch.
Las series y miniseries británicas son otro mundo, nada que ver con lo que estamos acostumbrados de las americanas. Las británicas no buscan gustar o atraer al espectador, sino que muestran una realidad de forma espléndida y deja en manos del espectador la interpretación de ella misma. Esta es una gran producción de dos grandes monstruos que son BBC y Netflix. Una de las mejores miniseries que he visto, además, nos permite disfrutar de la gran belleza de la naturaleza mostrándonos grandes paisajes. Me gustan los paisajes, la "oscuridad" de los escenarios y los personajes y sobretodo la manera, en mi opinión, magistral en que consiguen presentar a los personajes, huyendo de estereotipos, mostrando personas con sus luces y sus sombras, sin caer en tópicos.
British series and miniseries are another world, nothing to do with what we are used to from the American ones. The British ones do not seek to please or attract the viewer, but show a reality in a splendid way and leave the interpretation of it in the hands of the viewer. This is a great production of two great monsters that are BBC and Netflix. One of the best miniseries I have seen, in addition, it allows us to enjoy the great beauty of nature showing us great landscapes. I like the landscapes, the "darkness" of the scenery and the characters and above all the way, in my opinion, masterful way in which they manage to present the characters, avoiding stereotypes, showing people with their lights and shadows, without falling into clichés.
Un cruel asesinato de unos recién casado en Edimburgo, da inicio a una serie de sucesos que destapan los secretos mejores guardados de dos familias: ¨Los Elliot¨ y los ¨Los Douglas¨ que además de vecinos, eran amigos de toda una vida. A partir de ese hecho, cada personaje va perdiendo las máscaras, nadie es quien parece, todos arrastran secretos de su pasado que irán saliendo a flote. A lo largo de los tres primeros episodios, nos van contando como es la vida de las dos familias protagonistas y cuáles son sus respuestas antes los problemas expuestos entre las dos familias, que pese a vivir en comunidad, mantienen ciertos desacuerdos en diferentes aspectos.
A cruel murder of a newly married couple in Edinburgh, begins a series of events that uncover the best kept secrets of two families: "The Elliots" and "The Douglases" who, besides being neighbors, were lifelong friends. From that fact, each character loses their masks, no one is who they seem, they all drag secrets from their past that will come to light. Throughout the first three episodes, we are told how is the life of the two main families and what are their responses to the problems exposed between the two families, who despite living in community, maintain certain disagreements in different aspects.
La serie me recuerda mucho un juego que jugábamos en familia llamado ¨Cluedo o Sospechoso¨Un juego de detectives el cual trata en general de buscar quien asesino a quien y con que arma. Verla era como jugar a ese juego. Era tan detective como el que aparecía en la serie. Las pistas, sospechas, las dudas, son las razones por las que me encadene con esta serie. Yo le doy un 10.
The series reminds me a lot of a game we used to play as a family called ¨Cluedo o Sospechoso¨A detective game which is generally about finding out who murdered whom and with what weapon. Watching it was like playing that game. I was as much a detective as the one who appeared in the series. The clues, suspicions, doubts, are the reasons why I became attached to this series. I give it a 10.
