Una cosa es hablar de peliculas exitosas y otra muy distinta hablar de leyendas, hablar de esas peliculas que somos capaces de ver cientos de veces en la vida; saber su nudo y revivir la adrenalina de la primera vez. Es allí donde podemos hablar de "Titanic"
Sé que pensarán que es una pelicula que posiblemente tiene muchas publicaciones por estos lares, puede ser cierto, pero no podía escapar a la tentación de hablar sobre ello. Es ahí donde nace la inquietud de escribir sobre la misma.

La primera vez que vi esta pelicula corría el año dos mil, en aquella ocasión teníamos un VHS (aparato reproductor de cintas de video) y en sus más de dos horas y hasta la actualidad, después de más de veinte años, por lo menos una vez al año repasamos las aventuras de Jack y Rose; claro, nos adelantamos a lo tecnológico y hoy día el internet brinda suficientes opciones para visualizarla.

Es una obra cinematográfica del año mil novecientos noventa y siete; (con un costo de casi sesenta millones de dólares y ganancias por el orden de más de mil ochocientos millones de dólares a nivel mundial) dirigida por el gran James Cameron (reconocido por obras como "Avatar") En la cual se relatan los sucesos, casi que a nivel documental e histórico de un barco "Titanic" y en el cual, en un viaje trasantlántico, el mismo sufre un curioso hundimiento, un día de abril de los años mil novecientos.

Durando alrededor de dos horas para hundirse, algo que fue calculado en la pelicula para lograr la mayor verosimilitud en la cronología del hundimiento. Es realmente increible, sentirse más allá de un espectador, llegamos a ser un pasajero más que sobrevive un naufragio, en las etapas más cruciales y dramáticas del mismo.

A pesar de la ficción; podemos notar actuaciones magistrales de Leonardo Dicaprio y Kate Winslet, en los roles protagónicos de una relación amorosa que nace y vive los embates de una tragedia humana en los mares del mundo. Cabe destacar que esta obra ganó varios premios óscar (once óscars) menos los que están relacionados con los galardones de mejor actor y mejor actriz, por esas razones que no se entienden de la vida o quizás del destino. Posteriormente, la vida misma se encargaría de premiar con los premios de la Academia a Leonardo Dicaprio como mejor actor en el año dos mil dieciseis y a Kate Winslet como mejor actriz en el año dos mil nueve...
Más allá de la obra, "Titanic" dio una lección a la humanidad, de lo que debe hacerse y no debe hacerse. Demás están las leyendas urbanas que nacen y dicen del barco, un punto de referencia histórico que da y dará de que hablar, no solo por su grandeza, sino por tantos relatos, mitos y leyendas que lo rodean. Eso de tratar de entender un nafragio de grandes proporciones, que hoy en día es poco probable que ocurra porque fue una lección muy dura para los marineros, el aprender de los errores que no se pueden repetir.

En verdad, en el internet hay tanta información sobre "Titanic" que la pelicula se mezcla con el Titanic verdadero.
Es demasiada información, detalles, curiosidades, misterios, acertijos... Entre tantos artilugios que le llenan a uno la cabeza y hasta uno se cree con "Autoridad" para hablar sobre un asunto tan popular que pudiera rayar en el cliché.
