| Ya saben que mi esposo y yo siempre estamos en búsqueda de una nueva película, es una de nuestros pasatiempos preferidos, aunque muchas veces terminemos discutiendo por decidir cuál ver. Para que quede claro de una vez, él fué quien insistió en que viéramos "Speak no evil", pero llegado cierto momento me propuso no terminar de verla y yo le llevé la contraria, así que.... Una familia danesa va de vacaciones a la Toscana, y durante sus momentos de esparcimiento conocen a otra familia originaria de los países bajos, logrando entablar una relación amistosa y pasan unos días extraordinarios juntos. Tiempo después de ese viaje, Louise y Bjorn(Los daneses) estaban viviendo en su rutina habitual hasta que un día reciben una carta de la pareja del viaje, donde los invitan a pasar un fin de semana en su cabaña en Holanda.
Aunque la esposa(Louise) no está del todo convencida, Bjorn está cansado de la vida que lleva y ve esta invitación como una buena oportunidad para escapar de su realidad. Cuando llegan a la cabaña, comienzan a experimentar situaciones incómodas que los hace pensar que tomaron la decisión equivocada. |
A Danish family goes on vacation to Tuscany, and during their leisure time they meet another family from the Netherlands, they manage to establish a friendly relationship and spend some extraordinary days together. Some time after that trip, Louise and Bjorn (The Danes) were living in their usual routine until one day they receive a letter from the couple of the trip, where they are invited to spend a weekend in their cabin in Holland.

Esta película me hizo recordar los momentos en que, por pena o para evitar incomodar a otros, dejé pasar por alto algunas acciones y comentarios que me afectaban directamente, pero su director Christian Daftrup elevó estás situaciones un 1000%, convirtiendo el disfrute que trae consigo ver una historia en una tortura para el sentido común.
El desenlace en sí se desarrolla los últimos 15 o 20 min de la película, mientras nos muestras situaciones que rayan en los absurdo y que te hacen desesperar y preguntarte ¿Cómo pueden permitir eso? ¿Qué les pasa? |
This film reminded me of the times when, out of pity or to avoid making others uncomfortable, I overlooked some actions and comments that directly affected me, but its director Christian Daftrup elevated these situations by 1000%, turning the enjoyment that comes with watching a story into a torture for the common sense.
The denouement itself takes place in the last 15 to 20 minutes of the film, as we are shown situations that border on the absurd and that make you despair and wonder how can they allow this? What is wrong with them? |

He leído críticas muy buenas sobre esta película, donde incluso la llaman "obra maestra", y si lo vemos desde el punto de vista del director, puede que si encaje con ese adjetivo, ya que dejó clara su intención de hacer de esta la más desagradable sátira sobre ser político y cortés.
Ahora, hablando como espectadora, la odié totalmente. El desenlace llevó a otro nivel mis arranques de ansiedad, le grité a la pantalla y hasta se me salió una lágrima de la ira que me produjeron los últimos eventos. Excelentes actuaciones, hermosa escenografía, pero no la recomiendo ni un poquito. Le doy un 5/10⭐ y solo porque los actores lo hicieron increíble. |
I have read very good reviews about this film, where they even call it a "masterpiece", and if we look at it from the director's point of view, it might fit that adjective, as he made clear his intention to make this the most unpleasant satire about being political and polite.
Now, speaking as a viewer, I absolutely hated it. The denouement took my anxiety outbursts to another level, I screamed at the screen and even shed a tear from the anger I felt at the last events. Excellent performances, beautiful set design, but I don't recommend it one bit. I give it a 5/10⭐ and only because the actors did amazing. |
