¿De qué trata la película?
| La película se basa en la historia de Pearl, una chica que vive aislada en una granja familiar, junto con su mamá y su padre enfermo. Pasa sus días anhelando escapar del mismo destino de su madre, a quien le tocó hacerse cargo del sustento del hogar y de un esposo que no puede valerse por sí mismo. Para ello, se casa con un chico de familia pudiente con la esperanza de que se la lleve lejos de su realidad, pero su sueño se ve truncado cuando este se alista en la milicia y se va a pelear en la guerra. | The film is based on the story of Pearl, a girl who lives in isolation on a family farm with her mother and a sick father. | Wow! La actitud de desquiciada que asumió esta actriz me dejó impactada 🤯 Su actuación tiene momentos en que, lastimosamente, solo puedes decir: "Esta chama tiene problemas serios". Pero la escena que siento que me dejó perpleja, es cuando hace prácticamente un monólogo contando sus deseos y acciones más retorcidas, fué muy agradable de ver a nivel artístico. | Wow, the unhinged attitude that this actress assumed left me shocked 🤯 Her performance has moments in which, unfortunately, you can only say: "This girl has serious problems". But the scene that I feel left me perplexed, is when she practically does a monologue telling her most twisted desires and actions, it was very nice to see on an artistic level. |
Pearl's Father(Matthew Sunderland):
| Este señor fué demasiado nulo en la trama, debido a que era un hombre incapacitado y no podía ni hablar, pero con todo y eso tuvo una presencia fuerte. Solo con mover sutilmente sus ojos, podías sentir el terror que su personaje le tenía a su hija, además de que sus gestos gritaban: ¡Me quiero morir! 😅 En serio, es muy deprimente su situación y lo exteriorizó muy bien. | This man was too null in the plot, because he was a disabled man and he couldn't even speak, but he had a strong presence. Just by subtly moving his eyes, you could feel the terror his character had for his daughter, plus his gestures screamed: I want to die! 😅 Seriously, it's very depressing his situation and he externalized it very well. |

Esta película es una precuela de "X", donde 2 señores mayores se dedican a matar personas simplemente por gusto y sus próximas víctimas son un grupo de actores pornos. Entonces, Pearl viene siendo esa viejita loca por lo que en esta entrega nos cuentan su historia.
Básicamente la trama nos muestra a una chica desequilibrada mentalmente, pero llena de ambición, que lentamente va sacando a la luz se verdadera naturaleza. Desde mi perspectiva, no sentí la historia muy terrorífica, más bien me dió hasta lástima ver la degradación de ese personaje. |
This movie is a prequel to "X", where 2 older men are dedicated to kill people just for fun and their next victims are a group of porn actors. So, Pearl is that crazy old lady and in this installment we are told her story.
Basically the plot shows us a mentally unbalanced girl, but full of ambition, who slowly brings out her true nature. From my perspective, I didn't feel the story very scary, rather I felt sorry to see the degradation of that character. |

La forma en la que su mamá decidió llevar su vida es bastante triste, pero al menos sabía que debía trabajar duro para continuar. Al menos Pearl quería ser famosa, pero sin hacer ningún tipo de esfuerzo, es la típica persona que cree que merece un trato especial sin tener que mover un dedo y eso hizo que me cayera pésimo. Es decir, si, que chimbo crecer en esas circunstancias, pero nada justifica tus locuritas, querida.
Las escenas donde ella termina por dar rienda suelta a sus demonios son buenas, pero nada que considere que generen un gran sobresalto, porque ni suspenso tuvo. Ya era bastante evidente lo que ocurriría en ciertas partes. |
The way her mom decided to lead her life is pretty sad, but at least she knew she had to work hard to keep going. At least Pearl wanted to be famous, but without making any kind of effort, she's the typical person who thinks she deserves special treatment without having to lift a finger and that made me dislike her. I mean, yes, too bad growing up in those circumstances, but nothing justifies your follies, my dear.
The scenes where she ends up giving free rein to her demons are good, but nothing that I consider to generate a big shock, because it wasn't even suspenseful. It was already quite evident what would happen in certain parts. |

Ojo, no quiero decir con esto que la película no merece la pena, solo que no encontré algo que me hiciera identificarla como de terror o suspenso. Fué interesante conocer cómo Pearl cayó en la locura total, pero mi pregunta es: ¿Qué pasó contigo Howard? ¿Por qué caíste en eso, mi rey? Alguien que me explique ahora, por qué él le siguió el jueguito, porque ajá, la tipa estaba de manicomio.
En fin, pueden verla con toda libertad y si le encuentran sentido a las acciones de Howard me avisan 🤭 |
I don't mean to say that the movie isn't worth watching, I just didn't find anything that made me identify it as horror or suspenseful. It was interesting to know how Pearl fell into total madness, but my question is: What happened to you Howard, why did you fall into that? Someone explain to me now, why did he play along with her, because the girl was in a madhouse.
