¿De qué trata la película?

Todo comienza cuando Jill Johnson (Camilla Belle) es contratada por una familia adinerada, para cuidar a sus 2 hijos, mientras ellos salen en una escapada romántica. Jill es estudiante de bachillerato y un miembro importante del equipo de atletismo en su escuela, y al no poder salir esa noche de fiesta con sus amigos, acepta el trabajo de niñera.
La noche transcurre de manera normal, hasta que comienza a recibir llamadas donde nadie habla, que progresivamente fueron empeorando y la hicieron sentir insegura dentro de la mansión. Ella se deja seducir por la curiosidad e investiga por su cuenta dentro de la casa, sin saber que nada bueno le espera por encontrar. |
It all begins when Jill Johnson (Camilla Belle) is hired by a wealthy family to babysit their 2 children while they go on a romantic getaway. Jill is a high school student and an important member of the athletic team at her school, and unable to go out that night partying with her friends, she accepts the babysitting job.
The night goes by normally, until she begins to receive calls where no one is talking, which progressively got worse and made her feel insecure inside the mansion. She is seduced by curiosity and investigates on her own inside the house, not knowing that nothing good awaits her. |

Cuando se estrenó esta película estaba cursando el primer año de bachillerato, así que fué muy fácil que toda la vibra de suspenso en la película me impactara, además generarme el terror suficiente para sentir empatía por la situación de la protagonista.
Que la casa en cuestión fuera una mansión fué una elección adecuada, ya que la mayor parte de la historia se desenvuelve tanto dentro como en sus alrededores, y facilita el hecho de que nos creamos que el "acosador" puede estar en cualquier parte de ese terreno. |
When this movie was released I was in my first year of high school, so it was very easy for the whole suspenseful vibe of the movie to impact me, as well as generate enough terror to make me empathize with the protagonist's situation.
That the house in question was a mansion was an appropriate choice, since most of the story takes place both inside and around it, and it makes it easy to believe that the "stalker" can be anywhere on the grounds. |
¿Cuál fué la mejor parte?/What was the best part?

Lo mejor de toda la película fueron los últimos 10 min de la misma, ya que la confrontación entre la chica y el acosador se torna bastante intensa 🥵 Durante esos minutos pude sentir el verdadero terror y, al mismo tiempo, una especie de ansiedad entre tanto forcejeo. Los 2 niños hicieron su aparición más o menos a mitad de película, pero resultaron ser un buen apoyo para ella, así que también tuvieron su parte protagónica en la escena final.
No les voy a decir que es la película más terrorífica, pero si te da cierta dosis de suspenso, y de manera general, te mantiene entretenido con el desarrollo de la trama, aunque puede ser algo lenta. |
The best part of the whole movie was the last 10 min of the movie, as the confrontation between the girl and the stalker becomes quite intense 🥵 During those minutes I could feel the real terror and, at the same time, a kind of anxiety between so much struggling. The 2 children made their appearance about halfway through the movie, but they turned out to be a good support for her, so they also had a starring role in the final scene.
I'm not going to say it's the scariest movie, but it does give you a certain amount of suspense, and overall, it keeps you entertained with the plot development, although it can be a bit slow. |
| Me gustó que la protagonista dejó fluir su lado de supervivencia por completo, sobretodo porque he tenido experiencias con robos y me he quedado completamente pasmada, así que me da algo de valor ver que otras personas son capaces de vencer sus miedos. Ojo, esto es algo que he percibido de manera personal, puede que para ustedes sea diferente. Igual si pueden denle una oportunidad. |
I liked that the protagonist let her survivalist side flow completely, especially because I have had experiences with robberies and I have been completely stunned, so it gives me some courage to see that other people are able to overcome their fears. This is something that I have perceived personally, it may be different for you. Anyway, if you can, give it a try. |
