I really liked the latest episode of DB Daim. Just as I turned up my nose at 2 and 3, 4 solved a few issues. First of all, the creators really try to justify the weakness of the characters and their worse stamina. You can see that they are forcing it, but looking from the other side, I appreciate them for trying to maintain consistency. At least for now, because later they will most likely make more, rather than fewer, mistakes in this matter. Combined with strong artifacts (the equipment of King Gomah's men and their strength, I bet slightly higher than in Frieza's old army), I am inclined to believe that Goku and the rest are drastically weakened. The second issue is Gloria's strength. It's hard for me to estimate his strength because I don't have a reference point, but I think he could fight Yamcha from the Saiyan Invasion arc. It would be nice if he was a bit stronger, because I don't like throwing weak (in terms of power level) characters into this type of series in order to lower the stakes.
As for the fight, we got further evidence confirming Toriyama's words about caring for quality and the rest of the team regarding Akira's involvement. The original author willingly uses the protagonist's forgotten weapon. Thanks to it, Goku uses one of the debuffs, just like he did in series 1. I went through the punch sequences again as I wrote these words. You can see how it relies primarily on him. I hope that as he adapts to the specifics of the demon kingdom and, consequently, increases in strength, he will not abandon his staff. I'd love to see some crazy choreography, especially since it's a magical item. And as we've seen throughout the episodes, magic and technology intertwine in this world + magic matters a lot, so Goku's weapons should get a little more attention.
It will be interesting to see how the issue of the Dragon Balls will be developed. Zalama was explicitly mentioned in DBS? Was his name mentioned outside the manga/anime, just like the origin of beings like Shin (the tree Toriyama talked about in one of his relatively recent interviews)? If it wasn't, this idea certainly developed the lore nicely, and if it was... Although I think so now, it seems to me that somewhere in DBS there was information that these giant Dragon Balls are copies of others? I hope there isn't a plot hole here.
I hope that the next episodes will leave me in an enthusiastic mood. Let's let this series get going, because at this point it takes a lot of bad will to criticize it. I know that the atmosphere of Isekai and the fact that the characters are smaller may be off-putting for some people. This is grist for the mill of people who think that DB is currently a fairy tale for children and is overly polite. Well, the original was a bit too brutal (which is due to the Japanese approach to brutality - they allow themselves more than Americans and Europeans), but that is not the "problem" (the issue of brutality can be discussed, there are advantages and disadvantages to it). The thing is that DB is mainly popular among younger people. Adults in Japan don't watch this anime that much. I know, it comes out in a later TV slot, but it's still more likely to be watched by kids. Even on streaming. This also results from the current "spirit" of content creation, it is not the extreme '90s. So it's not Toei Animation's fault to such an extent. I watch it because it's DB, which looks better than HxH 2011. And I like well-animated anime with brands I like. By the way, was this vegetable a reference to the way Tienshinan and Chiaotsu's sensei moved? It looked cool. The animation then and in a few other moments looked really VERY specific for a while!
Najnowszy odcinek DB Daima bardzo mi się spodobał. Tak jak przy 2 i 3 lekko kręciłem nosem, tak 4 rozwiązał kilka kwestii. Przede wszystkim, twórcy naprawdę mocno starają się uzasadnić fakt słabości bohaterów i ich gorszej staminy. Widać, że robią to na siłę, ale patrząc z drugiej strony, doceniam ich że starają się zachować spójność. Przynajmniej póki co, bo później najprawdopodobniej popełnią więcej niż mniej błędów w tej materii. W połączeniu z mocnymi artefaktami (sprzęt ludzi Króla Gomah i ich siła, stawiam że nieco wyższa niż w starej armii Freezera), jestem skłonny uwierzyć w to, że Goku i reszta są drastycznie osłabieni. Druga kwestia, to siła Glorio. Trudno mi oszacować jego siłę, bo brak mi punktu odniesienia, ale wydaje mi się, że mógłby powalczyć z Yamchą z arcu Saiyan Invasion. Byłoby miło, gdyby był ciut silniejszy, bo nie lubię wrzucania słabych (pod względem power levelu) postaci do tego typu serii w celu obniżenia stawki.
Jeśli chodzi o walkę, to dostaliśmy kolejny dowód potwierdzający słowa Toriyamy o dbaniu o jakość oraz reszty ekipy ws. zaangażowania Akiry. Oryginalny autor chętnie korzysta z zapomnianej broni protagonisty. Goku dzięki niemu utylizuje jeden z debuffów, tak jak to robił w 1 serii. Przejrzałem sekwencje wyprowadzania ciosów jeszcze raz, w trakcie pisania tych słów. Widać jak opiera się przede wszystkim na nim. Mam nadzieję, że wraz z przystosowywaniem się do specyfiki królestwa demonów, a co za tym idzie, wzrostem siły, nie porzuci swojego kija. Chętnie bym obejrzał jakieś zwariowane choreografie, tym bardziej że jest to przedmiot magiczny. A jak widzieliśmy we wszystkich odcinkach, magia i technologia przenikają się w tym świecie + magia ma duże znaczenie, więc broń Goku powinna dostać trochę więcej uwagi.
Ciekawie, jak zostanie rozwinięta kwestia Smoczych Kul. Zalama został wprost wspomniany w DBS? Czy podobnie jak geneza istot jak Shin (chodzi o drzewo, o którym mówił Toriyama w jednym ze stosunkowo świeżych wywiadów), jego imię padło poza mangą / anime? Jeśli nie został, to ten pomysł na pewno fajnie rozwinął lore, a jeśli został... Chociaż tak teraz myślę, wydaje mi się, ze gdzieś w DBS padła informacja, że te gigantyczne Smocze Kule są kopią innych? Mam nadzieję, że nie ma tutaj dziury fabularnej.
Mam nadzieję, że kolejne odcinki pozostawią u mnie entuzjastyczny nastrój. Pozwólmy tej serii się rozkręcić, bo na ten moment trzeba naprawdę dużo złej woli by ją krytykować. Wiem, że klimat Isekai i fakt zmniejszenia bohaterów może być dla kogoś odpychający. Jest to woda na młyn ludzi, którzy uważają że DB obecnie to bajka dla dzieci i jest nadmiernie ugrzeczniona. Cóż, oryginał był nieco zbyt brutalny (co wynika z Japońskiego podejścia do brutalności - pozwalają sobie na więcej niż Amerykanie i Europejczycy), ale nie to jest "problemem" (o kwestii brutalności można dyskutować, są wady i zalety tego). Chodzi o to, że DB jest popularny głównie wśród młodszych. Dorośli w Japonii nie oglądają tak chętnie tego anime. Wiem, wychodzi w późniejszym slocie telewizyjnym, ale nadal częściej to oglądają dzieci. Choćby na streamingu. Wynika to też z obecnego "ducha" tworzenia contentu, nie są to ekstremalne lata '90. Czyli nie jest to, w aż tak dużej mierze, wina Toei Animation, Ja to oglądam bo to DB, który wygląda lepiej niż HxH 2011. A ja lubię dobrze zaanimowane anime z markami, które lubię. Swoją drogą, czy to warzywo to było nawiązanie do sposobu, jakim sensei Tienshinana i Chiaotsu poruszał się? Fajnie to wyglądało. Animacja wtedy i w paru innych momentach, przez chwilę wyglądała naprawdę BARDZO konkretnie!
