Welcome Hivers to this new summary post, this time dedicated to the movie Planet 51. This week in 7th Art & More, we will be talking about UFOs, normally we focus on how we as humans react, but what if we were the strangers on the scene, so here I tell you a little about the movie.

Esta semana en 7mo Arte & Más, estaremos hablando de OVNIS, normalmente nos centramos en la forma en la que como humanos reaccionamos, pero qué pasaría si fuéramos nosotros los extraños en el lugar, así que aquí te cuento un poco de qué es la película.
On Planet 51, there is a very particular city that is set like the '50s on Earth. I think it is a movie that portrays very well, what we as human beings can do when beings from another planet arrive, only this time we are the strangers. We are so afraid of a UFO arriving and hurting us, that we miss out on all that we could learn from them.
Creo que es una película que retrata muy bien, lo que nosotros como seres humanos podemos hacer cuando llegan seres de otro planeta, solo que en esta ocasión somos los extraños. Le tememos tanto a que llegue un OVNI y nos haga daño, que nos perdemos de todo lo que podríamos aprender de ellos.
On the other hand, in many movies humans are the ones who must be protected from intergalactic threats, always in a constant struggle. However, on this occasion, we are the threat coming from another planet, and we feel very bad to see this situation. Perhaps it is a good time to learn to be more empathetic. It is an excellent film that gives us a lot to think about.
Por otro lado, en muchas películas los seres humanos son quienes deben ser protegidos de amenazas intergalácticas, siempre en una constante lucha. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión, somos la amenaza llegada de otro planeta, y nos sentimos muy mal al ver esta situación. Tal vez es buen momento para aprender a ser más empáticos. Es una excelente película que da mucho que pensar.
