Las series españolas están teniendo un auge muy grande en los últimos meses y años tanto por su calidad de producción como la de sus actores y un ejemplo de ello es esta historia, una muy triste y reciente que golpeó a España hace un poco más de 6 años. Las series que abarcan temas de asesinatos y terminan siendo thrillers policiales por lo general son muy atractivas pero cuando a eso le sumamos el hecho de que son historia basadas en la vida real, el interés y el conocido "morbo" va a crecer exponencialmente. Más o menos este es ese caso, una historia que parecía haber quedado atrás en el recuerdo de la gente y que gracias a Netflix vuelve a estar en la conversación de todos.
Spanish series are having a very big boom in recent months and years both for their production quality and the quality of their actors and an example of this is this story, a very sad and recent one that hit Spain a little over 6 years ago. The series that cover murder themes and end up being police thrillers are usually very attractive but when we add to that the fact that they are stories based on real life, the interest and the known "morbid" will grow exponentially. More or less this is that case, a story that seemed to have been left behind in people's memories and that thanks to Netflix is back in everyone's conversation.
Antes de hablar de la serie quisiera decirles que evidentemente al ser un hecho que ya ocurrió las noticias van a estar por todos lados, es decir, el destino de todos los protagonistas por lo que les recomiendo que no hagan el ejercicio de buscar nada. Entonces, que harían ustedes por amor? - o bueno no si es amor lo que Rosa llegó a sentir, matarían?, engañarían?, mentirían?, serian infiel?, todas las anteriores?... Esta es una historia en donde queda en evidencia lo manipuladora que puede ser una persona y la poca calidad humana que esta puede tener, me impresionó mucho eso, sorprende que exista alguien así. Pero bueno, comencemos entonces con esta trágica historia de amor y deseo policial.
Before talking about the series, I would like to tell you that obviously, since it is an event that has already happened, the news will be all over the place, that is, the fate of all the main characters, so I recommend you not to do the exercise of looking for anything. So, what would you do for love? - or well, not if it is love what Rosa felt, would you kill, would you cheat, would you lie, would you be unfaithful, all of the above...? This is a story where it is evident how manipulative a person can be and how little human quality they can have, I was very impressed by this, it surprises me that someone like this exists. But well, let's start with this tragic story of love and police desire.
Esta trama empieza con un cuerpo calcinado en un carro ya que fue gracias a su descubrimiento que se comenzó a armar toda la investigación que gira en torno a Rosa Peral (Úrsula Corberó) y a su amante, amigo y compañero de patrulla Albert (Quim Gutiérrez). Rosa es una mujer policía con un pasado un poco tormentoso, no es precisamente una modelo a seguir dado su comportamiento y formas de actuar, pero que quería salir adelante, con todas sus cosas creo que intentaba hacer lo mejor posible. Al ser policía comienza a conocer a hombres con los que eventualmente llega a tener algo, todo esto gracias al magnetismo y su personalidad. En esa red caen Albert y Pedro (José Manuel Poga) quien en este caso es la victima mortal.
This plot begins with a burnt body in a car, since it was thanks to its discovery that the whole investigation that revolves around Rosa Peral (Úrsula Corberó) and her lover, friend and patrol partner Albert (Quim Gutiérrez) began to take shape. Rosa is a policewoman with a somewhat stormy past, not exactly a role model given her behavior and ways of acting, but who wanted to get ahead, with all her things I think she tried to do her best. As a cop she begins to meet men with whom she eventually gets to have something, all this thanks to her magnetism and her personality. Albert and Pedro (José Manuel Poga), who in this case is the mortal victim, fall into this net.
La cosa es que a medida que va pasado el tiempo ella va cambiando de brazos, un día con uno, otro día con el otro y así sin ningún tipo de remordimiento ni culpa. Todo cambia hasta el día en que ella se da cuenta de que no soporta más a uno de esos hombres y es entonces cuando ocurre lo que esta serie nos muestra, el asesinato de un policía. En sus ocho capítulos lo que veremos es una reconstrucción de todas esas relaciones de Rosa para así dar contexto y para poder llegar al trágico final teniendo todas las evidencias en mano. A pesar de ser dantesco todo yo me atrevería a pensar que estas situaciones son más comunes de lo que uno piensa, las relaciones amorosas a varias bandas son peligrosas y más si los involucrados son personas poco estables.
The thing is that as time goes by she changes arms, one day with one, another day with the other and so on without any remorse or guilt. Everything changes until the day she realizes that she can't stand one of those men anymore and that's when what this series shows us happens, the murder of a policeman. In its eight chapters what we will see is a reconstruction of all of Rosa's relationships in order to give context and to arrive at the tragic ending with all the evidence in hand. In spite of being Dantesque, I would dare to think that these situations are more common than one would think, love relationships are dangerous and even more so if the people involved are not very stable.
Como ya dije es una serie muy bien hecha porque si no conoces del caso te vas a llegar a indignar de una manera abismal. Es verdad que nunca oculta, o por lo menos así lo percibí, quienes son los culpables, creo que por razones obvias, ese juego de que la culpabilidad quede en el aire no existe y quizás para alguien que, repito, no conozca de esta historia sea algo un poco predecible. Aunque creo que esa no es la intención, siento que el verdadero propósito es dar a conocer lo que fue aquel suceso, darle vida a uno de los asesinatos que más conmocionaron a España en los últimos años, cosa que creo que están logrando porque el polvo que está levantando esta historia nuevamente es inmenso.
As I said, it is a very well done series because if you don't know about the case you will be outraged in an abysmal way. It is true that it never hides, or at least that's how I perceived it, who are the culprits, I think that for obvious reasons, that game that the guilt is left in the air does not exist and perhaps for someone who, I repeat, does not know this story is something a little predictable. Although I believe that this is not the intention, I feel that the real purpose is to make known what that event was, to give life to one of the murders that most shocked Spain in recent years, which I think they are achieving because the dust that this story is raising again is immense.
Toda esta trama es contada en diferentes líneas del tiempo, la pasada que es la que nos da luces de como se fue forjando todo, la que nos ayuda a entender quien es quien y el porque de sus actos y la del presente que es en donde se está llevando a cabo la investigación por parte de la policía. En esta también vemos cual es el resultado de todo lo sucedido, como afectó a todos los involucrados tanto en la familia, como en lo personal y laboral mientras que en la pasada podemos comenzar a notar ciertos rasgos que tendrían que haber prendido las alarmas de unos cuantos para no llegar a donde culminó todo. Tengo que decir que lo que más me impacto no fue el hecho en si sino la forma en como llevaban las cosas tanto Rosa como Albert, esa capacidad de estar completamente desconectados de la realidad.
All this plot is told in different timelines, the past which is the one that gives us light on how everything was forged, which helps us understand who is who and why their actions and the present which is where the investigation is being carried out by the police. In this one we also see what is the result of everything that happened, how it affected everyone involved in the family, as well as in the personal and work, while in the past we can begin to notice certain features that should have set off the alarms of a few not to get to where it all culminated. I have to say that what impacted me the most was not the fact itself but the way in which both Rosa and Albert handled things, that capacity to be completely disconnected from reality.
Lo más interesante de ver es eso, la habilidad para engañar y hacer creer a todos la versión de los hechos que más les convenía a ellos, un nivel de manipulación supremo. Manipulación a la misma policía, a los amantes, a los padres; Rosa tiene una personalidad muy avasallante y esa carta la jugaba ella muy bien. En muchas ocasiones sentía que ella era una especie de hipnotista porque lograba que todo el mundo hiciera lo que ella quería y le convenía, era una locura, eso puede ser una virtud o una maldición y bueno, ya sabemos que fue para ella. La serie nunca cansa, la forma en como armaron todo, la mayoría de las cosas siendo ficción obviamente, es muy top. La banda sonora amigos, al final de cada episodio ponen una canción referente al mismo, escuchen la letra y verán que es una radiografía de lo que acaban de ver; ese detalle lo disfruté mucho, le da más dramatismo a todo.
The most interesting thing to see is that, the ability to deceive and make everyone believe the version of the facts that best suited them, a supreme level of manipulation. Manipulation of the police, of the lovers, of the parents; Rosa has a very overwhelming personality and she played that card very well. On many occasions I felt that she was a kind of hypnotist because she got everyone to do what she wanted and what was convenient for her, it was crazy, that can be a virtue or a curse and well, we already know what it was for her. The series never tires, the way they put everything together, most of it being fiction obviously, is very top notch. The soundtrack friends, at the end of each episode they put a song referring to it, listen to the lyrics and you will see that it is an x-ray of what you just saw; I really enjoyed that detail, it gives more drama to everything.
La actuación de Úrsula es espectacular, es una actriz más que consagrada que creo que estuvo ideal para el papel, de hecho se podría decir que se parece un poco a la Rosa Peral real, no mucho pero si algo. Es una actriz que entrega lo que se le pide, drama, odio, felicidad, tristeza, es muy completa, lo mejor de la serie es sin duda ella. En cuanto a los demás pues son personajes que giraban en torno a ella. Poga, quizás lo recuerden como Gandía en La Casa de Papel, estuvo bien también, debe ser complicado interpretar a un personaje del que no se sabe mucho más allá del relato de sus conocidos y familiares. En líneas generales las actuaciones estuvieron decentes, los actores españoles tienen mucha calidad, eso se sabe.
Ursula's performance is spectacular, she is a more than consecrated actress that I think was ideal for the role, in fact you could say that she looks a little like the real Rosa Peral, not much but something. She is an actress that delivers what is asked of her, drama, hate, happiness, sadness, she is very complete, the best of the series is undoubtedly her. As for the others, they are characters that revolved around her. Poga, you may remember him as Gandía in La Casa de Papel, was also good, it must be complicated to play a character that you do not know much beyond the story of his acquaintances and family. Overall the performances were decent, Spanish actors have a lot of quality, that is well known.
Personalmente me gustó, es una muy buena opción para disfrutar de un buen thriller policial, le doy un 8/10. Tiene buenas actuaciones, una buena producción y la forma en como es llevada a historia está adecuada porque le introduce detalles a la gente. Está en Netflix, ocho capítulos de unos 50 minutos cada uno. Les dejo el tráiler por acá. Muy recomendada.
Personally I liked it, it is a very good option to enjoy a good police thriller, I give it an 8/10. It has good performances, a good production and the way it is taken to story is adequate because it introduces details to people. It's on Netflix, eight chapters of about 50 minutes each.
