**Hello friends, good vibes everyone.
Today I bring you one of those series that are truly the jewel in the crown for many reasons, including casting, history, photography, staging, etc. It is a relatively new series, released in December but that I had the opportunity to see recently and the truth is that it is very good.
It stars the great Bryan Cranston, some will remember him in one of his most iconic roles in Breaking Bad where he plays Walter White. A plot full of drama and secrets where the things that a father can do to protect his son are tested.
- Sinopsis // Synopsis.
This series tells the story of a renowned judge named Michael Desiato who has a son, Adam, who, due to fate, is involved in a hit-and-run style traffic accident. Everything gets complicated when father and son learn that the person killed in the accident is the youngest son of a prominent New Orleans criminal. This mobster's name is Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg) who eventually finds out that Desiato is involved in the death of his son.

Here things get complicated because we begin to see our judge go beyond certain limits of morality and ethics in order to protect the life of his son at all costs. But on the other hand we see this criminal who all he wants is to take revenge for his dead firstborn. What throughout the series becomes a war between these two men to see how far they are capable of going for their respective children.
What the judge does not have is that as time goes by, Adam begins to notice (without knowing it) the daughter of Jimmy Baxter, the dead young man's sister, which complicates things even more. Eventually this criminal also finds out about all this and uses this situation to seek to handle Judge Desiato at will.
Among so many threads that our judge had to pull, in the end, it was necessary to appeal to the cover-up and blame a young gang member for having committed the murder, which will create another war between this gang and the Baxter family. And all this just so the judge wouldn't lose his son or his legal career status.
- Opinión.
We are facing a great judicial and criminal thriller that certainly could have been a little better but is still excellent. The entire series is characterized by some very good performances starting with Bryan Cranston, a first actor who goes without saying how well he does his job. I think the casting in general was quite good because there are big names and despite having certain gaps with the script, these actors manage to capture the essence of their characters and succeed in this series.
Secondary characters such as detectives, lawyers and even the members of the gang that I did not mention to save a bit of information also played a great role in the unfolding of this whole story that the truth and very personally, I liked a lot.
I invite everyone who can to take a look. There is only one season which consists of ten chapters without any information on a possible second season. Personally, I don't think that will happen. If I had to give it a grade I would honestly give it an 8/10.
