THE ORIGINALS SEASON TWO [REVIEW]

Review by @kilvnrex 🏆#77 🎵110 🎬8 📺3 · 5h · of The Originals season 2

Season two of the originals came very strong. There were a lot of unexpected variables I never saw coming. For example the arrival of the parents and the story behind the parents. It showed one thing very clearly. The Mikaelsons are a very dysfunctional family. You would think that because they have existed for over a millennium that they will have one of the strongest bonds there ever is, but their reality is far different, the only thing they want more than destroying the lives of others and killing for fun is to kill themselves. The mother of the Mikaelsons wants to kill every single one of them, but not in the way the father wants to kill them. For the mother “Esther” all she wants is for her family to be together again but like just any ordinary family without their supernatural abilities. And for someone like Klaus, stripping him of the only thing that makes him powerful is something he would never agree to.

Season two also revealed Klaus’s werewolf heritage and the reason his father wanted him dead. The mother had done everything to suppress his werewolf bloodline until everything finally backfired and Klaus discovered who he was, making him hate his mother for trying to suppress him. I guess Klaus had a lot of hate inside him. The reason he was vicious was because he was trying to find ways to pour the anger he was feeling and Season two showed where those anger and insecurities were coming from. Kol and Finn also returned as part of the original family, However Finn inhabits the body of a very strong witch while Kol ended up with Divina and whom he started helping out with her magic. Hayley on the other hand ended up becoming a hybrid after giving birth and now she has to adapt to her new powers seeing she’s stronger than her own kind and a good number of vampires.

Hayley decided to use her new found power to help her people break the cause of the full moon. This however brings a number of anomalies like her new relationship with her supposed mate, and the love between her and Elijah. It also made Klaus realize he is losing control of Hayley and if there is one thing Klaus hates, it is losing control of something he had control over, Klaus is just that insecure LOL. Another big twist in season two was Fraya, the oldest daughter of the Mikaelsons. Everyone including their Father believed Fraya had died as a child, but in reality Their mother Esther used her as a bargain even before Fraya was born. She could not have children and decided to ask her sister for help. The condition was that the first born from every generation will be taken by her sister and guess who is the first born from the new generation… No other than Klaus’s own daughter Hope.
