Today being a Thursday, I came across a short clip of The Legend of the Seeker as a throwback post and hey, the memory of how the TV show was named one of the best TV shows in my household came back afresh, and I couldn't just skip going to relive some episodes.
My siblings and I were so addicted to the movie to the extent that we took some lines in the series as common words we spoke to ourselves whenever we were talking, such as "The things you love will always come back to you," said by Kahlan, and "Bring me my journey book," by Darken Rahl.
Should I talk about the Sisters of Light that later became Sisters of the Dark? They happened to be one of the most feared groups in the show, especially because of their special skills in the use of the Dakr weapon and magic.
OMG!
Every single episode of the series had something that kept us glued to the big box TV, with the DVD running tirelessly because of this series. What about the hunt to possess the Box of Orden? Those episodes were epic!
The Legend of the Seeker is a TV show that lasted for just three years, from 2008 to 2010, although a lot of the fans are still clamouring to have another season (Season 3) with "Bring Back Our Seeker." But with the look of things, that's never ever going to happen because most of the main cast members have aged considerably.
The show centres on the fight against evil in the land through a heroic group led by Richard Cypher, commonly known as the Seeker, who later found out that his real name is Richard Rahl, the son of the man he had fought against all through his life.
Every bit of this series has a catchy storyline, memorable faces, suspense, and many other things that made it interesting. The beginning of the show has a group of armies pursuing two females who appear to be sisters. One gets shot, but because the mission they are on is far more important than their lives, the one who wasn't shot decides to carry on with the journey, dodging arrows shot at her.
She gets to a stage where a magical barricade is blocking her way. She brings out a magical power that makes way for her to pass through into Hartland, the land she has been directed to find the Seeker.
Well, if you haven't seen this series, you've been missing out on one of the most interesting TV shows to have graced the planet Earth.
Thanks for reading.
