For over 10 years or so, I've been boastful of LEGEND OF THE SEEKER as the best series the movie industry has ever produced. Till now, I'm still boasting, and I can't stay away from such arguments whenever they come my way. Just before writing this article, I went to YouTube to have view of the movie again, and.... Gosh! The movie is as new as it was released yesterday. The actions and emotions never failed to magnetise my heart again.

It's one movie that I watched with the whole of my family, to the extent that my mom, who doesn't fancy foreign movies, always loves to have more of it. The first set episode was so emotional, and I must applaud the brain behind the plot. How could they just capture someone's mind with the first scene? That's superb!

    The plot

The movie is all about The SEEKER OF TRUTH fighting against the dark power and wrath of the KEEPER OF THE UNDERWORLD. Yes, you read it right. It's a fight between the Seeker and the leader of Hell...feel free to call it Satan.

The movie started With Kahlan and her sister Dennee being chased by Darken Rahls's men to collect the Book of Counted Shadows they were to give the seeker (which they didn't know at that moment). Dennee was shot by and an arrow, and she had to beg Kahlan to keep going because their mission was bigger than her. Yeah, Kahlan left her and forged ahead, crossing the invincible bridge, only to meet Richard Cypher (the seeker) without knowing he's the one. The soldiers that crossed the bridge with her, started killing everyone on their way just to get Kahlan and The Book of Counted Shadows. The soldiers killed Richard's father, and everyone in the community turned against Richard, claiming he had been possessed by the witchcraft via the lady that came seeking her. That was the moment he decided to handle the SWORD(Sword Of Truth) he rejected at first, and from that moment on, his mission began.

The journey wasn't smooth at all. Darken Rahl, the keeper's representative on Earth, never relented in his quest to kill him and his colleagues, which resulted in a lot of battles and killings of his dear ones.

There was a time when Richard died, which was one of the most heartbreaking scenes for me. He went to the underworld, and the keeper was happy that yes, he finally had him under his control.

You know that situation when you've been wanting to have a particular thing under your control and it finally happens, you'll have to secure it by all means.

So, when he died and went to tell, the keep was trying to lock his soul permanently to prevent the people on earth from calling him back. He was doing that when suddenly, Richard's soul got called back and it disappeared from hell. What a loss to the keeper of the underworld!

The most heartbreaking scene was the last episode, when Kahlan was possessed and was sent to kill Richard. She succeeded in killing Richard with ease because Richard allowed her due to their closeness, and even at that moment of his death, he still muttered "I love you, Kahlan". Immediately after he died, Kalhan senses came back to life, but the death has been done. She cried out, and her tears dropped on the wound, and Richard was brought back to life...which birthed the rea Stone Of Tears.

It's an action and adventurous movie with a village setting. English was used in the movie. If you haven't seen this movie, just go for episode one and come back thanking me.

I'm giving it 11/10⭐⭐⭐, if there's anything like that

    Thanks for reading.

  2. Legend Of The Seeker; My all time best movie@kingsleyy1143d

    Greetings people.

When I came across this contest, I smiled, and what came out of my mouth was "It's Legend Of The Seeker!".

This is not a movie review, it's my heart pour on how I love the movie. More also, I think everyone has seen this movie because it's an oldie

I don't know if any movie at all, would be able to give me the pleasure I had watching The Legend of the Seeker. It's not like it's the best movie I've seen or the most interesting one with the action packed, nah! I just love the movie because of the feeling I had watching it.

It was a family movie in my house; my dad and mom, who don't have time to watch movies, love this particular series, and anytime it's on play (even on repeat), they all settle down to enjoy the screen.

I watched this movie on a DVD plate when Android phones were not common, and till today, the two DVD plates (seasons 1 and 2) are still intact at home (all though messed up with cracks).

I and my siblings loved this movie so much to the extent that we adopted some of the lines into our in-house use lines, and some of them are:

"The things you love will always come back to you," by Khalan Amnell

***"Close your eyes and imagine yourself by the sea"** by Walter

"Bring me my journey book" by Darken Rahl

    The storyline, action, emotions, suspense...

The storyline was well crafted and top-notch, and we wish there'd be a return with season three. For a very good lover of action-packed movies, I so much enjoyed this series because it started with war and ended with war with fiery fights, fight with magics and living deads.

Funny enough, I was made to believe that things like BANELINGS exist because they appeared so real. *BANELINGS are the dead who took the offer of coming back to life from the Underworld, where their ticket of continous living is to kill live souls *

The love between Richard and Kahlan was so real but unfortunately they can't be together because of the power Kahlan possesses.

Cara found love but her love, Leo sacrificed himself to save Kahlan. Image source Should we talk about the devilish sisters of the light? These people made the movie more interesting.

Richard Kahlan Cara Ralh Renn Are some of my favourites in the movie.

    My rating is 10/10

  3. I Re-watched Every Single Episode of LEGEND OF THE SEEKER and...@stevenson71482d
Yup, I did. I know you're now thinking that I am a maniacal, weird, sociopathic creep. Well, you're not entirely wrong. But I actually started to see it again for good reason, and I am happy I did. I am here to talk about some of the things we missed in the show when we (I) were younger. Legend of the seeker is one of my favorite TV shows of all time up until now. Back then my young and half-baked brain was mesmerized by sorcery and sci-fi bullshit, so I decided to do this and ask myself; Why do I really like this show?

Legend of the seeker is a classic of last decade. It is a show spanning over two episodes, with each almost an hour long. That's pretty massive. It is a show about a young lad who grew up not knowing who he was; 'the chosen one' (an annoyingly cliche bullshit). He then discovers, goes berserk, then return again to take up his quest and kill 'the evil tyrant' according to 'the prophecy'. I mean, how dumb do you think the viewers are Mr producer??!!! If you saw a storyline like this from a recent movie, I am a hundred percent sure you would ignore it. Probably go as far as giving it a bad rating.

So Here are Some Things We (I) Missed Then...

    • The most obvious of all... A shitty plot. Nah, I felt like I wasted about 48 hours of my life after watching it again, but I didn't want to stop so I will give it that. How shittier can a plot get? The chosen one grew up not knowing who he is and eventually starts on his quest fighting made-up demons and evil witches every single episode. With every episode is a new evil. Absolutely boring that.

    • An annoying plot convenience scheme all around. This was epic though. Some way, somehow, Richard always made it in time and saved the day. One classic example was when Richard's loyalty to the quest of the seeker was been questioned by 'the creator' (some weird lady in white that came out of the blue (see what I did there xd.)). He and his friend tried so hard to convince 'the creator' that Richard was a good person to no avail. She always had a counterargument. Eventually, the earth started to crack and the creator almost got smashed by rocks but guess who saved her life........ Take a flipping wild guess. This was just one of the many times the scriptwriters tried in a futile attempt to 'make the movie make sense'

    • Illogical Fight scenes and all. This one was tiring too. I can't begin to count the number of times I yelled at my computer with the words, "So he/she could do that this whole time????!!!!"

    • Unnecessarily long. There was no reason whatsoever for the show to go that far. 45 episodes??????? WHY? Each episode was just a re-enactment of the previous one except with new characters, or old ones with new motives. The climax of this was the ending part of season one when Darken Rahl died. That literally should have ended the show. Every single human on earth would agree that was the grand ending, but noooooo. The weird writers and producers decided create something, a figment of thier immaginable. Something soooooo Implausible. Stone of Tears. WTF?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How original

    hive divider.png

There are other countless things we (I) missed. Maybe some good ones, but definitely a lot of bad ones. As we grew older we realized how shitty the show was. Oh well, this has been fun. I hope no one was rattled, and if ya did... sorry not sorry. Till next time. Cheers.
