The critics have been praising it even above the award-winning series "The Last of Us", and although it seems to me that it does not measure up to the HBO series, it is without a doubt one of the best series so far this year.
Poker Face is a mystery, intrigue series that combines police and detective elements to grab you from the start.
The series stars Natasha Lyonne, who is without a doubt a pleasant revelation at least for me, as I didn't know her and I've certainly been hooked by the way she acts. Natasha is a breath of fresh air and her work is undoubtedly amazing, captivating from the start.
In the series Natasha possesses a strange ability that allows her to know every time a person is telling a lie, this ability has gotten her into trouble, as she was into gambling and betting.
On the other hand, when Natasha gets into trouble she has to run away and that is where she starts using this ability to solve some cases on her own.
Knowing who is lying and with a stubborn need to get to the bottom of these matters, Natasha has the ability to investigate and deduce who are the people who have committed these crimes, however she runs the risk of facing dangerous people, criminals who are willing to do anything so that their crimes are not discovered or known.
The series is strange but it grabs you from the beginning. The image and photography is too good, with very well done shots and with shots and sequences that are very well done and that add a dynamism to the series quite impressive. The same with the costumes the series manages to put you in the situation they want many times with well made costumes to catch the attention of the viewers.
I am not exaggerating when I say that it is one of the best series of the year, since a second season has already been signed, as the public acceptance is much more than the producers expected.
The proposal of Poker Face is classic but at the same time brings revolutionary elements that had not been seen before and it is this combination that makes it exquisite, it is a delight for visual and technical at the same time.
Poker Face reminds you of classic cop thrillers, but with novel mixes that give the series that modern touch.
There is something I would have liked to see in Poker Face and that is that each episode is individual and not related to the previous one, which makes it solve each crime independently, however personally I would have liked to see chapters that were sequence of another and that between them were related, I would have been amazed to see that.
However this first season is not over yet and maybe (I don't think so) they will make chapters in relation to the others.
Poker Face doesn't chase a criminal without knowing who he is, which is a risky bet because it can take away the suspense of the episode, that's what a scriptwriter could think, even though you know who the criminal is, you get caught by the way Natasha will reach the conclusion and solve the case.

La crítica la ha estado alabando incluso por encima de la galardonada serie "The Last of Us", y aunque me parece que no está a la altura de la serie de HBO, es sin duda una de las mejores series de lo que va del año.
Poker Face es una serie de misterio, intriga que combina elementos policiales y detestivescos para atraparte desde el principio.
La serie es protagonizada por Natasha Lyonne, quien es sin duda una grata revelación al menos para mí, pues no la conocía y sin duda me he quedado atrapado por la forma en que ella actúa. Natasha es una bocanada de aire fresco y si trabajo es sin dudas asombroso, cautivante desde el principio.
En la serie Natasha posee una extraña habilidad que le permite saber cada vez que una persona está diciendo alguna mentira, está habilidad la ha metido en problemas, pues ella se dedicaba a los juegos de azar y las apuestas.
Por otro lado al verse liada en problemas Natasha tiene que huir y es donde comienza a usar esta habilidad para resolver algunos casos por su propia cuenta.
Al saber quién está mintiendo y con una obstinada necesidad de llegar hasta el fondo de estos asuntos, Natasha lleva la habilidad de investigar y deducir quien o quienes son las personas que han cometido dichos crimenes, no obstante corre el peligro de enfrentarse a personas peligrosas, criminales que están dispuestos ha hacer cualquier cosa con tal de que no se descubra o se sepa sus crimenes.
La serie es extraña pero que te atrapa desde el principio. La imagen y la fotografía es demasiado buena, con tomas muy bien hechas y con planos y secuencias que están muy bien logrados y que le añaden un dinamismo a la serie bastante impresionantes. Lo mismo con el vestuario la serie logra ponerte en la situación que ellos quieren muchas veces con vestuarios bien hechos para llamar la atención de los espectadores.
No exagero cuando digo que es una de las mejores series del año, puesto que ya se ha firmado una segunda temporada, pues la aceptación del público es mucho más de lo que los productores esperaban.
La propuesta de Póker Face es clásica pero a la vez trae elementos revolucionarios que no se habían visto antes y es esta combinación que la hace exquisita, es un deleite para visual y técnico al mismo tiempo.
Poker Face Te hace recordar clásicos policiales, pero con mezclas novedosas que le dan ese toque actual a la serie.
Hay algo que me hubiera gustado ver en Póker Face y es que cada episodio es individual no relacionado con el anterior, lo que lo hace resolver cada crimen en forma independiente, no obstante en lo personal me hubiera gustado ver capítulos que fueran secuencia de otro y que entre ellos tuvieran relación, me hubiera maravillado ver eso.
Sin embargo está primera temporada aún no ha terminado y quizás (no lo creo) hagan capítulos con relación a los otros.
Poker Face no persigue a un criminal sin saber quién es este, lo cual es una apuesta arriesgada pues le puede llegar a quitar suspenso al episodio, eso es lo que un guionista podría llegar a pensar, a pesar que se ante mano se sabe quién es el criminal, te atrapa la forma en la que se Natasha llegará a la conclusión y resolverá el caso.
