Heartstopper, es poesía pura. No es exageración. La serie es una oda al amor desde principio a fin. Es una exclamación a todo pulmón de que la vida es hermosa y da una bofetada a los adultos, porque demuestra que hay o pudiera haber relaciones sanas en la adolescencia.
No haré mayores descripciones al respecto del argumento de la serie, este post está dirigido a hacer que el gran público la vea, la disfrute y le duela tanta felicidad, tanta gloria, tanta euforia.
Heartstopper, it's pure poetry. That's no exaggeration. The series is an ode to love from beginning to end. It is a full-throated exclamation that life is beautiful and slaps adults in the face, because it shows that there are or could be healthy relationships in adolescence.
I will not make further descriptions about the plot of the series, this post is aimed at making the general public see it, enjoy it and hurt so much happiness, so much glory, so much euphoria.

En un domingo, como cualquier otro, llego a casa de noche, luego de un día de playa con buenos amigos y decido encender la TV esperando que el ruido de fondo matase las horas para irme a la cama y acabo por echarle un ojo a una serie, de la que había escuchado hablar, que por alguna razón no me había animado a ver, -craso error-, porque desde el primer episodio, la serie atrapa, emociona y te genera un sosiego dulce y desde el minuto uno (01) te conecta con tus sueños y emociones.
On a Sunday, like any other, I get home at night, after a day at the beach with good friends and decide to turn on the TV waiting for the background noise to kill the hours to go to bed and I end up taking a look at a series, of which I had heard about, that for some reason I had not encouraged me to see, -crass mistake-, because from the first episode, the series catches, excites and generates a sweet calm and from minute one (01) connects you with your dreams and emotions.

Debo decir que hay varios aspectos que me parecieron extremadamente positivos y lo primero que debo destacar con bombos y platillos, es el ritmo, se desarrolla a un buen ritmo, pone el foco en los protagonistas pero no olvida el entorno, esto está inexorablemente atado al guión, a la edición y potenciado sin duda por la música, la fotografía y el montaje.
La cinematografía no es ostentosa. Es sobria, sencilla, porque la dirección entendió que la historia por si sola es atrayente, es poderosa y no necesita aditivos que hagan que el espectador distraiga su atención hacía algo más que no sea el argumento y la narrativa. Se desprende de posibles adornos y con técnicas básicas y planos muy sencillos han logrado despertar la fibra más romántica de hasta el más escéptico del amor, estoy seguro.
I must say that there are several aspects that I found extremely positive and the first thing I must highlight with great fanfare, is the pace, it develops at a good pace, puts the focus on the protagonists but does not forget the environment, this is inexorably tied to the script, editing and certainly enhanced by the music, photography and editing.
The cinematography is not ostentatious. It is sober, simple, because the direction understood that the story alone is appealing, it is powerful and does not need additives that distract the viewer's attention to something other than the plot and the narrative. It is detached from possible embellishments and with basic techniques and very simple shots have managed to awaken the most romantic fiber of even the most skeptical of love, I'm sure.

Es un drama, con toques muy frescos, las situaciones dramáticas no se sobredimensionan y no tratan de justificar nada, la serie confía en la madurez del espectador, pero, sobre todo en la sensibilidad de éste. Es sin duda una serie adolescente, pero no es sólo para adolescentes. Hay muchas lecciones importantes que quedan explícitas, hay infinitos ejemplos sobre responsabilidad afectiva, amor propio, amistad, valor, solidaridad, compañerismo, honestidad, dolor y obviamente, el amor, no del ideal, pero si del bonito. Del que algunos una vez tuvimos o quisimos tener... Me atrevería a decir, que es una muestra del amor que alguna vez todos nos hemos imaginado que encontraríamos.
It is a drama, with very fresh touches, the dramatic situations are not overdimensioned and do not try to justify anything, the series relies on the maturity of the viewer, but, above all, on the sensitivity of the viewer. It is undoubtedly a teenage series, but it is not only for teenagers. There are many important lessons that are made explicit, there are infinite examples of affective responsibility, self-love, friendship, courage, solidarity, companionship, honesty, pain and obviously, love, not the ideal kind, but the beautiful kind. The kind that some of us once had or wanted to have.... I would dare to say that it is a sample of the love that we have all imagined we would find.

No hay cursilería en el entramado, no hay giros de tramas fáciles, no hay drama excesivo, ni autoflagelación, no es el sempiterno argumento de que "el que más sufre es el que ama". La serie nos inculca la verdad que todos deberíamos saber y ser conscientes: Todos merecemos amor, todos merecemos amar y que nos amen, como si hubiéramos nacido exclusivamente para ello.
Por último, las actuaciones son simplemente geniales, se sienten, se viven, son genuinas y muy certeras. De verdad que el casting es la mar de acertado, no son sexualizados, ni sexualizan el argumento, lo cual contrasta con series como Élite o Euphoria por ejemplo. Aplausos de pie por ello.
There is no cheesiness in the plot, no easy plot twists, no excessive drama, no self-flagellation, not the everlasting argument that "the one who suffers the most is the one who loves". The series instills in us the truth that we should all know and be aware of: we all deserve love, we all deserve to love and be loved, as if we were born exclusively for it.
Lastly, the performances are simply great, they feel, they live, they are genuine and very accurate. Really the casting is spot on, they are not sexualized, nor sexualize the plot, which contrasts with series like Elite or Euphoria for example. Standing ovations for this.

Definitivamente es una serie que te reconcilia con la vida, con las relaciones, con el amor y con la amistad. Es motivadora, conmovedora, audaz, muy inteligente, con una alta dosis de sensibilidad y prometo que no saldrán indiferentes. Es inspiradora, tanto que duele. Sin embargo, la serie no está anclada en la utopía, sino que su mirada es muy realista, muy actual, pero no hace un oscuro argumento de ello, es un show que muestra el vaso siempre medio lleno... Esa serie es una sonrisa perfecta y una lágrima peleando por precipitarse en alguna mejilla. Es paz, es todo lo bien que debería pasar en el mundo.

It is definitely a series that reconciles you with life, with relationships, with love and with friendship. It is motivating, touching, bold, very intelligent, with a high dose of sensitivity and I promise you will not leave indifferent. It is inspiring, so much so that it hurts. However, the series is not anchored in utopia, but its look is very realistic, very current, but it does not make a dark argument of it, it is a show that shows the glass always half full.... That series is a perfect smile and a tear fighting to rush on some cheek. It's peace, it's everything good that should happen in the world.
