Hello friends, today I was watching on TV for the millionth time one of the Harry Potter films, something that doesn't bother me at all being a mega fan of the franchise 😄 but I did think: "how is it possible that I haven't written about it yet?" so today I want to share with you my opinion about one of the film adaptations of J.K Rowling's novels, I am talking about the fifth film of the saga "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" directed by David Yates and released in 2007.
Hola amigos, hoy estuve viendo por televisión por millonésima vez uno de los films de Harry Potter, algo que no me molesta en lo absoluto al ser mega fan de la franquicia 😄 pero sí pensé: "¿cómo es posible que aún no haya escrito al respecto?" por lo tanto hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi opinión acerca de una de las adaptaciones cinematográficas de las novelas de J.K Rowling, me refiero a la quinta película de la saga "Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix" dirigida por David Yates y estrenada en el 2007.
Overview/Resumen
Harry Potter will have to face the smear campaign against him by the Ministry of Magic, which claims that Voldemort has not returned, and to make matters worse, Dolores Umbridge (the Minister's right-hand woman) arrives at Hogwarts as the High Inquisitor, On the other hand, taking advantage of his freedom, Voldemort reorganises with his Death Eaters and begins to attack, but he is in search of a prophecy that he needs and which he cannot access so easily, which is why he needs Harry. Harry discovers that his parents were part of an anti-hegemonic organisation founded by Albus Dumbledore called "The Order of the Phoenix" which has once again organised itself to fight Voldemort and his Death Eaters, but although neither Harry nor his friends are allowed to belong to the Order because they are minors, this will not stop them from asserting their rights in the face of the injustices that are beginning to emerge at Hogwarts.
Harry Potter tendrá que enfrentarse a la campaña de desprestigio en su contra por parte del Ministerio de Magia, que afirma que Voldemort no ha regresado, para colmo, Dolores Umbridge (mano derecha del ministro) llega a Hogwarts en calidad de Suma Inquisidora, con la finalidad de "poner orden" pero en realidad solo quería investigar si Dumbledore estaba conspirando contra el Ministerio, por otra parte, aprovechando su libertad, Voldemort se reorganiza con sus mortífagos y comienza a atacar, pero está en la búsqueda de una profecía que necesita y a la cual no puede acceder tan fácilmente, razón por la que necesita a Harry. Él por su parte descubre que sus padres formaron parte de una organización anti hegemónica fundada por Albus Dumbledore llamada "La Orden del Fénix" la cual nuevamente se ha organizado para luchar contra Voldemort y sus mortífagos, pero aunque ni Harry ni sus amigos tienen permitido pertenecer a la Orden por ser menores de edad, esto no los detendrá a la hora de hacer valer sus derechos ante las injusticias que comienzan a surgir en Hogwarts.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
Honestly I think it had a good adaptation in many aspects although it lacked a lot of elements to make it perfect since we are talking about the adaptation of the longest book of the saga, so they could have done the same as with the last novel and split the film into two parts, honestly I would have really liked to see San Mungo, the hospital of diseases and magical wounds, where also the characters are reunited with Lockhart, where Harry discovers (through a conversation) that he may be possessed by Voldemort, and they also discover that there was a murder, we also missed in this film the tremendous development of Sirius Black and how he felt about living locked up in his own house, nor did we see the development and subsequent decline of Harry's relationship with Cho Chang, we barely saw a kiss on screen that indicated that between them there was an inevitable attraction.
Honestamente creo que tuvo una buena adaptación en muchos aspectos aunque le faltaron muchísimos elementos para hacerla perfecta ya que estamos hablando de la adaptación del libro más largo de la saga, así que bien podrían haber hecho lo mismo que con la última novela y dividir la película en dos partes, honestamente me hubiese gustado mucho ver San Mungo, el hospital de enfermedades y heridas mágica, donde además los personajes se reencuentran con Lockhart, donde Harry descubre (a través de una conversación) que puede estar poseído por Voldemort, y además descubren que hubo un asesinato, también nos perdimos en esta película el tremendo desarrollo que tuvo Sirius Black y como se sentía ante el hecho de vivir encerrado en su propia casa, tampoco vimos el desarrollo y posterior declive de la relación de Harry con Cho Chang, a penas y pudimos ver un beso en pantalla que nos indicó que entre ambos surgió una inevitable atracción.
Another thing that I think could have been better developed was Harry's occlumency classes, Rickman and Radcliffe's acting were superb but not the memories of Snape that we saw on screen, nor Harry's reactions to them (and I don't blame Radcliffe as a performer for this, but the script) we barely saw anything on screen, a tiny part of Snape's memories, Harry didn't get to see (as he did in the literary version) that his mother was Snape's friend and that she hated James Potter for his bullying attitude, let alone did we see Harry on screen so affected by this that he had to talk to Sirius and Lupin over the internet because he couldn't bear to think that his father had been a jerk and even went so far as to assume that he had forced his mother to marry him. I would have liked to see the depth of these scenes and how much they affected the character on screen.
Otra de las cosas que creo que pudieron haber desarrollado mejor fueron las clases de oclumancia de Harry, la actuación de Rickman y Radcliffe estuvieron soberbias pero no así los recuerdos de Snape que vimos en pantalla, ni tampoco las reacciones de Harry al respecto (y en esto no le hecho la culpa a Radcliffe como interprete, sino al guion) en pantalla a duras penas vimos algo, una ínfima parte de los recuerdos de Snape, Harry no pudo comprobar (como sí lo hizo en la versión literaria) que su madre era amiga de Snape y que odiaba a James Potter por su actitud de bravucón, y mucho menos vimos a Harry en pantalla tan afectado por esto que tuvo que hablar con Sirius y Lupin a través de la red flu porque no soportaba pensar que su padre hubiese sido un patán e incluso llegó a suponer que había obligado a su madre a casarse con él. Me hubiese gustado ver reflejado en pantalla la profundidad de estas escenas y lo mucho que afectaban al personaje.
God! We didn't even get to see that Lily (Harry's mother) was Snape's friend, let alone that when she tried to defend him he called her a "MudBlood" which is why their friendship was forever fractured and he turned more to the dark arts, this is a very important scene that in his film version, David Yates treated with disdain.
Dios! Ni siquiera pudimos ver que Lily (la madre de Harry) era amiga de Snape y mucho menos que cuando ella intentó defenderlo él la llamó "Sangre sucia" razón por la cual su amistad se fracturó para siempre y él se entregó más a las artes oscuras, esta es una escena importantísima a la que en su versión cinematografica, David Yates trató con desdén.

However, not everything is bad in this scene and I liked the change they made in the way Harry accesses Snape's memories, instead of resorting to the pensieve as in the literary version, he accesses through a blocking spell, the photography was very well worked in each scene, and in the parts where it is Snape who enters Harry's memories, the fact of seeing him (Snape) in each of the scenes is a good indication that Harry finds it difficult to expel him.
Sin embargo no todo esta mal en esta escena y es que me gustó el cambio que hicieron en cuanto a la forma en que Harry accede a los recuerdos de Snape, en vez de recurrir al pensadero como en la versión literaria, el accede mediante un encantamiento de bloqueo, la fotografía estuvo muy bien trabajada en cada escena, y en las partes donde es Snape quien entra en los recuerdos de Harry, el hecho de verlo a él (Snape) en cada una de las escenas es un buen indicativo de que a Harry le cuesta expulsarlo.
I also really liked the way they depicted the wizarding room and Harry's Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, I really loved every detail of these scenes, and the animation of the Patronus was great, the encouragement Harry gives to his classmates to exhort them to conjure their own Patronus is really motivating.
También me gustó mucho la forma en que representaron la sala de los menesteres y la también las clases de Defensa Contra las Artes Oscuras de Harry, de verdad que amé cada detalle de estas escenas, y la animación de los patronus estuvo grandiosa, el animo que Harry les imprime a sus compañeros para exhortarlos a conjurar sus propios Patronus es francamente motivador.
I also really liked the choice they made for the new characters because although Imelda Stauton is much prettier than the literary version of her character, the interpretative strength of this woman left no room for doubt that she was indeed Dolores Umbridge, her gestures, her facial expressions and even the way she walked are exactly what we expected from her, denoting a woman who wants to appear good and is full of bad intentions.
También me gustó muchísimo la elección que hicieron para los nuevos personajes porque si bien Imelda Stauton es mucho más bonita que la versión literaria de su personaje, la fuerza interpretativa de esta mujer no dejó espacio a la duda de que en efecto ella era Dolores Umbridge, sus gestos, sus expresiones faciales y hasta su forma de caminar son exactas a lo que esperábamos de ella, denotan a una mujer que quiere aparentar bondad y está repleta de malas intenciones.
Natalia Tena shows us a Tonks who is very close to the canon, very energetic, funny and above all clumsy, I would have liked to see more dialogue.
Natalia Tena por su parte nos muestra una Tonks bastante apegada al canon, muy enérgica, graciosa y sobre todo torpe, me hubiese gustado que le hubiesen dado más dialogos.
As for Evanna Lynch, she gave us an incredible interpretation of Luna, with her lost look, her sincerity and her sweet tone of voice that from time to time lets out very strange comments, as the director of the film said, Evanna didn't play Luna, she was Luna in each of her scenes.
En cuanto a Evanna Lynch nos ofreció una increíble interpretación de Luna, con su mirada perdida, su sinceridad y su tono de voz dulce que de vez en cuando deja escapar comentarios rarísimos, tal y como dijo el director de la película, Evanna no interpretó a Luna, ella era Luna en cada una de sus escenas.
When we got to the scenes inside the Ministry of Magic again I was disappointed as we didn't get to see it in all its splendour as the boys of Dumbledore's Army try to flee from the Death Eaters, we only saw a little of the Department of Mysteries and the atrium, however the special effects were so supreme that I had to enjoy what we did get to see, and in this I must add that the battle scene between Dumbledore and Voldemort was masterful, yes I would have liked to see the statues of the fountain reanimated, but the special effects of the spells were absolutely great, giving us as a result a perfect scene, from the dialogues to the end, when Voldemort disappears before the Minister.
Cuando llegamos a las escenas dentro del Ministerio de Magia nuevamente me decepcioné ya que no pudimos verlo en todo su esplendor mientras los chicos del Ejército de Dumbledore intentan huir de los mortífagos, tan solo vimos un poco del Departamento de Misterios y el atrio, sin embargo los efectos especiales estuvieron tan supremos que no me quedó más que disfrutar de lo que sí pudimos ver, y en esto debo añadir que la escena de la batalla entre Dumbledore y Voldemort estuvo magistral, sí me hubiese gustado ver a las estatuas de la fuente reanimadas, pero los efectos especiales de los hechizos estuvieron absolutamente geniales, dándonos como resultado una escena perfecta, desde los diálogos hasta el final, cuando Voldemort se desaparece ante el Ministro.
Y qué les puedo decir del Soundtrack, para mí es uno de los mejores, así que imagínense mi alegría cuando uno de mis primos me lo regaló por navidad. Amo cada uno de los temas y siento que acompañan perfectamente cada escena, desde que vi esta película la primera vez lo quise, así que mi primo me lo obsequió junto con algunos posters.

My favourite theme of this soundtrack is "Fireworks" the one that appears when the Weasley twins fly in on brooms in the big dining room to cause chaos with their fireworks before fleeing the school, I love the theme because since it starts that succession of ascending and descending sounds suggests that someone is up to something, it is the injection of energy that the boring moment we see on screen where the students are in the middle of an exam needs, this theme song is perfect because it represents the energy of the Weasley twins.
Mi tema favorito de este soundtrack es "Fireworks" el que aparece cuando los gemelos Weasley entran volando en escobas en el gran comedor para causar caos con sus fuegos artificiales antes de huir del colegio, me encanta el tema porque desde que empieza aquella sucesión de sonidos ascendentes y descendentes nos sugiere que alguien trama algo, es la inyección de energía que necesita ese momento tan aburrido que vemos en pantalla donde los estudiantes están en medio de un examen, este tema musical es perfecto porque representa la energía de los gemelos Weasley.
Although the theme would have been better if this scene had had the same power as in the book, including the swamp that spread throughout the school, but I still think they did a great adaptation, including the reaction of one of the teachers, Flitwick (of charms).
Aunque el tema hubiese quedado mejor si esta escena hubiese tenido el mismo poder que en el libro, incluyendo el pantano que se regó por todo el colegio, pero aún así considero que hicieron una gran adaptación, incluyendo la reacción de uno de los profesores, Flitwick (de encantamientos)
Well, this has been Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as seen from the opinion of a mega fan of the franchise, I don't know if you have another opinion in case you have seen it, in general terms I think it's a great movie, that even with all the aspects I mentioned that were missing, it was a good adaptation, anyway I still hope to see at some point a Harry Potter series where no aspect is left out, I still hope to see a Harry Potter series at some point where no aspect is left out, however, the adaptations of classics I've seen recently leave me a bit scared 😲, so I think it's better not to have such high expectations. Y bien, esto ha sido Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix vista desde la opinión de una mega fan de la franquicia, no sé si ustedes tienen otra opinión en caso de que la hayan visto, en términos generales pienso que es una gran película, que aún y con todos los aspectos que mencioné que faltaron, fue una buena adaptación, de todos modos aun guardo la esperanza de ver en algún momento una serie de Harry Potter donde no se obvie ningún aspecto, sin embargo, las adaptaciones de clásicos que he visto recientemente me dejan un poco asustada 😲, así que creo que es mejor no tener expectativas tan altas.
