Hello friends, today I want to share with you my opinion about a strong rumour that has been heard lately about a supposed Harry Potter reboot, that Warner Bros would be making soon and that they would be in talks with J.K Rowling (the author of the saga to make this possible).

First of all it is important to clarify that we have been hearing these rumours for a while now, however, after the massive success of the video game Howarts Legacy, it has been proven that there is still a huge interest in the young wizard's franchise, so lately the news agency Bloomberg said that Warner has been seriously thinking about a Harry Potter reboot, but (and here is the best part) it would not be seven movies as it was done before, but a television series divided into seven seasons.

According to what I've been researching, this wouldn't keep all the fans happy and that's something natural, because every project should always have its admirers and detractors (so that there is a balance) but what I think about this is that I LOVE THE IDEA! why? because it's always been my dream to see a detailed adaptation of all the characters and events of the seven books, and that's something you can't achieve when you do a film adaptation, but when we're talking about a series it's something else, I think it is the perfect opportunity to delve into those scenes that we could not see complete as Snape's memories, Snape's Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, the death of the Potters, and on the other hand we would see represented on the screen characters like Winky, Bertha Jorkins, Ludo Bagman or Peeves, the poltergeist.
Según lo que he estado investigando, esto no tendría contentos a todos los fans y eso es algo natural, debido a que todo proyecto siempre debe tener sus admiradores y sus detractores (para que exista un equilibrio) pero lo que yo opino de esto es que ¡ME ENCANTA LA IDEA! ¿por qué? porque siempre ha sido mi sueño ver una adaptación detallada de todos los personajes y acontecimientos de los siete libros, y eso es algo que no se puede lograr cuando se hace una adaptación al cine, sin embargo cuando hablamos de una serie es otra cosa, creo que es la oportunidad perfecta para profundizar en esas escenas que no pudimos ver completas como los recuerdos de Snape, las clases de Defensa Contra las Artes Oscuras de Snape, la muerte de los Potter, y por otra parte veríamos representados en la pantalla a personajes como Winky, Bertha Jorkins, Ludo Bagman o Peeves, el poltergeist.

I loved Alan Rickman's performance and for me he will always be the best Snape, unbeatable and irreplaceable, but since we're talking about a reboot, I'd like to see his younger, greasy-haired version.
Eso sí, creo que debo aclarar que yo estoy de acuerdo con este proyecto solo sí respecta el canon de los libros (y para que esto suceda J.K Rowling debería estar muy involucrada) la idea no es ver otra copia de las películas, sino que lleven a cabo los hechos del libro tal cual ocurrieron, sin intercambiar diálogos en los personajes, y otra cosa importante, me gustaría que respetaran la apariencia de los personajes (esto sería muy importante para mi) tal cual como en el libro, quiero ver una Hermione bonita pero con dientes un poco prominentes y de cabello esponjado, un Harry Potter cuyos ojos sean verdes, y unos señor y señora Potter de unos 21 años. Amé la actuación de Alan Rickman y para mí siempre será el mejor Snape, insuperable e insustituible, pero ya que estamos hablando de un reboot, me gustaría ver su versión más joven, de pelo grasiento.
There are people who would rather they adapted something else, like the Marauders' History, Voldemort's past, the history of the founders of Hogwarts, and I think that's fine, but the appearance of the reboot we are talking about is no impediment for that to happen, maybe if it is successful, those ideas will also be taken into account for the making of other series and in this way we Potterheads can have even more material to have fun with, at least that's my opinion.
Hay personas que preferirían que adaptaran otra cosa, como la Historia de los merodeadores, el pasado de Voldemort, la historia de los fundadores de Hogwarts, y yo creo que está bien, pero la aparición del reboot del que estamos hablando no es ningún impedimento para que eso suceda, tal vez si tiene éxito, esas ideas también sean tomadas en cuenta para la realización de otras series y de esta forma los potterheads podemos tener aún más material con el que divertirnos, al menos esa es mi opinión.
Be that as it may, I'd be very happy if they did this reebot (hopefully they don't screw it up and end up disappointing me) and if it's true, we'd be talking about a seven-season series and it would be broadcast on HBO Max, so we'll just have to wait and hope and cross our fingers.
Sea como sea me alegraría mucho que hicieran este reebot (ojalá no lo arruinen y terminen decepcionándome) y en caso de ser cierto, estaríamos hablando de una serie de siete temporadas y sería transmitida por HBO Max, así que no nos queda más que esperar cruzando los dedos.
