This time I gave "Play Dead" a chance because since I saw the trailer it caught my attention, although unfortunately the ending disappointed me, but that's something I'll leave up to you if you decide to watch it 😉.

En esta ocasión le di la oportunidad a "Play Dead" porque desde que vi el trailer me llamó muchísimo la atención, aunque lamentablemente el final me haya decepcionado, pero eso es algo que yo dejaré a criterio de ustedes si deciden verla 😉
Overview/Resumen
Chloe, a young forensic medicine student arrives home after the death of her father, she makes some calls to try to collect the life insurance, but she is informed that she will not be able to collect it because he took his own life, she worries because without that money she will not be able to pay the mortgages and as a result she and her brother could lose the house. On the other hand, TJ, Chloe's brother is planning with his friend Ross, a robbery to a marijuana store, but everything goes wrong and a policeman shoots Ross, reason why TJ flees believing that his friend is dead. However, he is very worried because in Ross' phone there was evidence that incriminates him, but he does not know how to get it back.
Chloe, una joven estudiante de medicina forense llega a su casa luego de la muerte de su padre, ella hace algunas llamadas para intentar cobrar el seguro de vida, pero le informan que no podrá cobrarlo debido a que él se quitó la vida, ella se preocupa porque sin ese dinero no podrá pagar las hipotecas y como resultado ella y su hermano podrían perder la casa. Por otra parte, TJ, el hermano de Chloe está planeando junto a su amigo Ross, un robo a un almacén de marihuana, pero todo sale mal y un policía le dispara a Ross, razón por la cual TJ huye al creer que su amigo está muerto. Sin embargo está muy preocupado porque en el teléfono de Ross había evidencia que lo incrimina a él, pero no sabe como recuperarlo.
Chloe then comes up with an idea, with the help of a substance, she pretends to be dead to enter the morgue where Ross's body is, with the intention of recovering his cell phone, but when she wakes up from lethargy, she discovers that the coroner who is there that night has a sinister business, he is in charge of selling organs for the black market, through a criminal named Manix. She moves around the place stealthily to avoid being discovered by the coroner, but at some point she discovers that Ross is not dead, but drugged by some substance, as the coroner had removed an organ from him, in another room there were also multiple dying people, some without eyes or other parts of their body. Meanwhile her brother is waiting for her outside to flee but everything gets too complicated when the doctor realizes that Chloe has discovered his horrible business.
A Chloe entonces se le ocurre una idea, con la ayuda de una sustancia, se hace pasar por muerta para ingresar en la morgue donde está el cuerpo de Ross, con la intención de recuperar su teléfono celular, pero cuando despierta del letargo, descubre que el forense que está allí esa noche tiene un negocio siniestro, se encarga de vender órganos para el mercado negro, a través de un delincuente llamado Manix. Ella se mueve por todo el lugar con sigilo para evitar ser descubierta por el forense, pero en algún momento descubre que Ross no está muerto, sino drogado por alguna sustancia, ya que el forense le había extraído un órgano, en otra sala también había múltiples personas moribundas, algunos sin ojos u otras partes de su cuerpo. Mientras tanto su hermano la está esperando afuera para huir pero todo se complica demasiado cuando el médico descubre que Chloe ha descubierto su horrible negocio.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
Well, I can't deny in any way that I found this movie very entertaining, really, as you could see in the trailer it's full of shocks, I have no complaints about the photography and the performances were fabulous, especially Bailee Madison who you may remember from "Bridge to Terabithia" and Jerry O'Connell who was also in films like "Kangaroo Jack" or "Piranha" It is impossible not to feel impregnated with the emotions that their characters transmit to us, The plot of the film is also great, however the big problem lies in its script Wow! It's full of situations so implausible that sometimes it's even comical 🤣
Bien, no puedo negar de ninguna manera que esta película me resultó muy entretenida, de verdad, tal cual como pudieron apreciar en el trailer está llena de sobresaltos, no tengo quejas en cuanto a la fotografía y las actuaciones estuvieron fabulosas, sobre todo la de Bailee Madison a quien quizá recuerden por "Puente a Terabithia" y la de Jerry O'Connell quien también estuvo en películas como "Canguro Jack" o "Piranha" Es imposible no sentirse impregnado de las emociones que sus personajes nos transmiten, El argumento de la película también está genial, sin embargo el gran problema radica en su guion ¡Wow! está lleno de situaciones tan inverosímiles que a veces resulta hasta cómico 🤣

It is assumed that before arriving at the morgue they should have been previously analyzed by the police, and above all by qualified doctors who should have declared them clinically dead, the script does not explain this, they simply show us that these people are alive, to justify in a very clumsy way the fact that the organs that the coroner sells are fresh and functional.
Una de ellas, por ejemplo, es el hecho de que pareciera que toda las autoridades de la ciudad supieran lo que ocurre dentro de la morgue, el hecho de que el forense se lucre con los órganos de los supuestos cadáveres, lo digo porque ¿Cómo es posible que todas las personas que llegan ahí estén vivas? Se supone que antes de llegar a la morgue deberían haber sido analizados previamente por policías, y sobre todo por médicos cualificados quienes debían haberlos declarado clínicamente muertos, el guion no explica esto, simplemente nos plantean que esas personas están vivas, para justificar de forma muy torpe el hecho de que los órganos que el forense comercializa, estén frescos y funcionales.
I also cannot understand how Chloe was not completely affected by the sleeping gas that the coroner threw all over the room, she was barely dizzy, to top it off he manages to neutralize her against a wall, but she still has enough strength to throw nitrogen in his face, however he seems to be as invincible as her because he takes an object to stab her, and when we all believe that Chloe no longer has options to survive, Manix appears out of nowhere and stabs him. With this we see a clear example of what is known as "Deus ex machina" that is, a resource that is used in stories to solve an almost lost situation, in an extraordinary way without following a logic,
Tampoco puedo entender como es que Chloe no se vio completamente afectada por el gas somnífero que el forense arrojó por toda la habitación, a duras penas estaba mareada, para colmo él logra neutralizarla contra una pared, pero ella aún tiene fuerzas como para arrojarle nitrógeno en el rostro, sin embargo él parece ser tan invencible como ella porque toma un objeto para apuñalarla, y cuando todos creemos que Chloe ya no tiene opciones para sobrevivir, aparece Manix de la nada y lo apuñala. Con esto vemos un claro ejemplo de lo que se conoce como "Deus ex machina" es decir, un recurso que se utiliza en las historias para resolver una situación casi perdida, de forma extraordinaria sin seguir una lógica.
And well, that's all for today, the truth is that as I told you, it's not a bad movie at all, that is, it manages to keep your attention and entertains you, but it has many plot holes, something that could annoy you if you are very demanding.
