Para que una historia fluya debe tener un cierre de alguno de sus arcos narrativos; esto es algo que debería ser obligatorio en varias producciones porque es válido y así ayuda al espectador a no crearse expectativas por algunos sucesos en los cuales no se le dé más impotencia de la que debe tener, pero en mi opinión, el principal factor es que los personajes principales podrán enfocarse en muchas otras cosas que nos prepara para un final y por supuesto para lo que vendrá en el futuro y justamente en el sexto episodio de The Last of Us llamado "Kin", nos muestra como los efectos de vivencias pasadas nos prepara para tener (por ahora) un cierre de uno de los motivos del viaje de Joel y Ellie, pero a la vez nos va preparando para lo que será el cierre de esta primera temporada y lo que seguramente tendremos en el futuro en esta producción de HBO.
For a story to flow it must have a closure of some of its narrative arcs; this is something that should be mandatory in several productions because it is valid and thus helps the viewer not to create expectations for some events in which they are not given more helplessness than they should have, but in my opinion, the main factor is that the main characters can focus on many other things that prepares us for an end and of course for what is to come in the future and just in the sixth episode of The Last of Us called "Kin", shows us how the effects of past experiences prepares us to have (for now) a closure of one of the reasons for Joel and Ellie's journey, but at the same time prepares us for what will be the closure of this first season and what we will surely have in the future in this HBO production.
El día de ayer se estrenó el sexto episodio del gran éxito de HBO y el cual puedo decir que es el que más muestra esa influencia del género Western, lo cual me agrado de ver y es que en mi opinión me pareció perfecto el lugar donde se filmó muchas escenas, así como el diseño del lugar en donde se desarrolla esta parte de la historia. En "Kin" nos relata como el viaje entre Ellie y Joel sufre de un salto temporal; esto me apareció algo positivo porque se evita de que está serie repita una y otra vez las mismas situaciones hasta llegar al lugar donde vive "Tommy", el hermano de Joel, el cual no vemos desde la mitad del primer episodio; Tommy desde el momento que se alejó del grupo conocido como "Fireflies" vive en una comunidad en Jackson, Wyoming la cual es parte junto a otras personas que hacen lo posible e imposible para mantener un lugar alejado de todo el terror que ocurre en otras ciudades; este es un lugar el cual se puede considerar un hogar aunque la confianza, respeto y demás será difícil de ganar, ya que el pasado de Joel podrá crear un conflicto y terminar de separar una relación que ahora más que nunca necesita ser más fuerte.
Yesterday was released the sixth episode of the great success of HBO and which I can say is the one that most shows the influence of the Western genre, which pleased me to see and in my opinion I found perfect the place where many scenes were filmed, as well as the design of the place where this part of the story unfolds. In "Kin" tells us how the journey between Ellie and Joel suffers from a time jump; this seemed to me something positive because it avoids that this series repeats over and over again the same situations until reaching the place where "Tommy" lives, Joel's brother, which we do not see since the middle of the first episode; Tommy from the moment he left the group known as "Fireflies" lives in a community in Jackson, Wyoming which he is part of along with other people who do everything possible and impossible to keep a place away from all the terror that occurs in other cities; this is a place which can be considered a home although trust, respect and others will be difficult to win, as Joel's past may create a conflict and end up separating a relationship that now more than ever needs to be stronger.
Este episodio fue dirigido por _Jasmila Žbanić, directora, guionista y productora, originaria de Bosnia y quién alcanzo la fama después de que su film del 2020, "Quo Vadis, Aida?", obtuviera varias nominaciones y premios; en este episodio hace un gran trabajo, en realidad es uno sumamente hermoso, ya que los exteriores dónde se desarrolla el episodio, da la sensación de calma, soledad, silencio y peligrosa tranquilidad, lo cual hace que el suspenso y la tensión nunca desaparece a pesar de que los personajes de Joel y Ellie con sus conversaciones haga que exista naturalidad el viaje minimizando la realidad en la que ellos viven. Anteriormente, hice referencia a la influencia del género Western en este episodio y es que lo pausado del relato y las localidades son de muy del estilo de ese tipo de films, la fotografía, los escenarios, todo es sumamente perfecto y hace que esta episodio lo tenga en uno de los que más me ha gustado.
El guion de Mazin en este episodio puedo enfocarlo en la influencia, control e independencia que una persona puede experimentar dependiendo del momento de su vida; también existe lo que causa el temor y miedo de perder todo nuevamente; primero que nada diré que con respecto a la dependencia e influencia que se puede ejercer en una persona lo relaciono al personaje de Tommy el cual la única descripción que tenemos en la serie era su necesidad de sentirse héroe y en esta etapa de su vida, en dónde vemos a alguien maduro, centrado, enfocado en algo y alguien, existe una predisposición diferente a las necesidades de su hermano el cual teme de perder aún más; como pueden ver estos temas se relacionan aunque si, por el mundo que muestra está historia el cual está lleno de tanto peligro, el miedo es un factor motivacional para sobreproteger lo que difícilmente se ha obtenido y por eso existen personas que juzgan y relacionan errores o sucesos del pasado con lo que es el presente y posiblemente lo que será el futuro; en mi opinión esto fue un tema bien desarrollo en un episodio el cual demuestra la carga dramática en esta historia.
This episode was directed by _Jasmila Žbanić, director, screenwriter and producer, originally from Bosnia and who achieved fame after her 2020 film, "Quo Vadis, Aida? "She does a great job in this episode, in fact it is an extremely beautiful one, since the exteriors where the episode takes place, gives the feeling of calm, solitude, silence and dangerous tranquility, which makes the suspense and tension never disappears even though the characters of Joel and Ellie with their conversations make the journey natural, minimizing the reality in which they live. Previously, I made reference to the influence of the Western genre in this episode and the slow story and the locations are very much in the style of this type of film, the photography, the scenery, everything is extremely perfect and makes this episode one of the ones I liked the most.
The script of Mazin in this episode I can focus on the influence, control and independence that a person can experience depending on the moment of his life; there is also what causes fear and fear of losing everything again; first of all I will say that with respect to the dependence and influence that can be exerted on a person I relate it to the character of Tommy which the only description we have in the series was his need to feel like a hero and at this stage of his life, where we see someone mature, focused, focused on something and someone, there is a different predisposition to the needs of his brother who fears losing even more; as you can see these themes are related although if, by the world that shows this story which is full of so much danger, fear is a motivating factor to overprotect what has hardly been obtained and that is why there are people who judge and relate mistakes or events of the past with what is the present and possibly what will be the future; in my opinion this was a well developed theme in an episode which shows the dramatic charge in this story.
En episodios anteriores, el peso protagónico lo tenía personajes que se convierte en importantes por los diferentes relatos de sus vidas antes y después de la aparición de la infección que afectó al mundo; esto en mi opinión enriquece a la historia que necesitaba un tiempo para que la relación entre Joel y Ellie tuvieron una base fuerte y después impactar en los momentos adecuados; ahora en este episodio, así como sucedió en el primero, es Joel quien nuevamente toma el protagonismo y muestra su desesperación y miedo por sentirse no apto para completar una misión y por eso es siento que este episodio es una continuación de la primera mitad del primero; en ambos, la actuación de Pascal es excelente, muy buena y puedo decir que en esta oportunidad su personaje nos demuestra lo que seguramente sintió por muchos años al momento de perder a su hija y que lo hizo transitar un camino oscuro y que ahora a pesar del miedo, tiene la oportunidad de hacer algo diferente aunque existen muchos factores que dificultarán esa nueva tarea. Me gustaron mucho los diálogos que tuvo Pedro con Gabriel Luna quien interpreta a Tommy, porque se sienten como si fueron verdaderos hermanos, la felicidad, la tristeza, la necesidad del desahogo; en mi opinión fueron muy buenas escenas entre ambos.
In previous episodes, the protagonist weight had characters that become important for the different stories of their lives before and after the appearance of the infection that affected the world; this in my opinion enriches the story that needed some time for the relationship between Joel and Ellie had a strong base and then impact at the right time; now in this episode, as it happened in the first one, it's Joel who again takes the lead role and shows his desperation and fear for feeling unfit to complete a mission and that's why I feel that this episode is a continuation of the first half of the first one; In both, the performance of Pascal is excellent, very good and I can say that in this opportunity his character shows us what he surely felt for many years at the moment of losing his daughter and that made him walk a dark path and that now in spite of the fear, he has the opportunity to do something different although there are many factors that will make this new task difficult. I really liked the dialogues that Pedro had with Gabriel Luna who plays Tommy, because they feel as if they were real brothers, the happiness, the sadness, the need to vent; in my opinion they were very good scenes between them.
Este episodio con un ritmo el cual en mi opinión nos ofrece escenas hermosas, con una fotografía excepcional, tiene un ritmo pausado y el cual es muy parecido a lo que fue el cuarto episodio en dónde la narrativa ofrece cosas muy importantes para el desarrollo de lo que seguramente será los últimos tres episodios de la temporada; me parece genial que está serie siga demostrando que no los infectados no son el único peligro, ya que a falta de estas pobres criaturas, existen otros que de una manera u otra son igual o hasta más peligrosos porque sus impulsos y motivos son creados por el miedo no deja para ningún entendimiento. Existe algo en "Kin" lo cula es el momento que se toma para crear escenas que pueden disminuir el drama y tener tiempo para demostrar humor, felicidad y esperanza, creo que es inteligente que esto suceda porque no todos los episodios deben ser una paliza emocional en dónde se recuerda por siempre lo que se ha perdido y tampoco digo que este es el episodio cómico o ligero, ya que existe esa carga importante de emociones por parte de los protagonistas, es que se toma el momento para dar la importancia necesaria para cada momento y con esto repetiré de que por ahora es uno de mis episodios favoritos de la temporada.
This episode with a rhythm which in my opinion offers us beautiful scenes, with exceptional photography, has a slow pace and which is very similar to what was the fourth episode where the narrative offers very important things for the development of what will surely be the last three episodes of the season; I think it's great that this series continues to show that the infected are not the only danger, because in the absence of these poor creatures, there are others that in one way or another are equally or even more dangerous because their impulses and motives are created by fear that does not leave for any understanding. There is something in "Kin" the cula is the moment that is taken to create scenes that can diminish the drama and have time to show humor, happiness and hope, I think it is smart that this happens because not every episode should be an emotional beating where you remember forever what has been lost and I do not say that this is the comic or light episode, since there is that important load of emotions by the protagonists, is that the moment is taken to give the necessary importance for each moment and with this I will repeat that for now it is one of my favorite episodes of the season.
