I finally made up my mind to watch one of the best reviewed k dramas that is visible on Netflix. The sixteen-episode drama has a setting that immediately intrigues, both for how little is known about it but also because it is one of the toughest regimes in the world, North Korea. In fact, after the drama, I read various articles online and ordered various books to understand the dynamics of this country, so dark and so close to the lively and modern South Korea. So a delicate issue for all the Korean people who deal with the relationship between the two Koreas similarities, differences, traditions, culture and even political background, even if we clarify it is a romantic drama and therefore does not address heavy issues too heavily or political themes.
The protagonist Seri played by the cute son ye jin actress of Something in the rain is an entrepreneur from Seoul, rich, spoiled, pretentious, accustomed to a life of luxury, workaholic and launched in her career, a lioness of entrepreneurship but she is also a fragile woman, with a family of upstarts, born of an illicit relationship and who hides great suffering for this family rich in money but poor in love. Seri always tries to do activities and experiences and is really unlucky when a week before his takeover in the family business where he prevailed over the petty brothers he has a paragliding accident which unfortunately ends up in North Korea!
Here she meets the officer Ri who initially obviously wants to take her to his superheroes because she could have been a spy or an enemy and right from the beginning there are a series of gags and a strong dislike between them, but you know from hate to love is enough a step! After some vicissitudes where Ri's team is also involved, made up of guys each with their own peculiarities and all very funny, after a long and crazy escape the girl ends up hiding directly in the officer's house because he and his team didn't catch her and reported immediately decide to hide it to avoid the penalties that would be inflicted on them, North Korea is not a country for everyone.
For Seri it is a trauma but the officer and his fellow soldiers will do everything to find a way to get her back home, in the meantime she has to live with Ri and her team who are often there, living together won't be easy but she will be able to make friends the team where there is also a soldier who loves k drama and also to enter the heart of lieutenant Ri. The sweet and comic scenes will not be lacking even with the women of the village who, having discovered his presence (obviously Seri has given another identity and cover) will compete to see who does the funniest and nicest things, laughter is not lacking in this drama and not even feelings and sweetness! The love story is the classic of love and hate and also impossible because of the context, a context that will smooth certain corners of Seri and make her live a life far from the comforts she was used to.
The new life, however, gives Seri the opportunity to get to know the officer Ri better and her less rigid side, indeed she will discover in him a caring, kind man who finally sees and listens to her and understands her, between the two it is established an affectionate and romantic bond but always hindered by the differences and the rules of North Korea but also by Seo Dan the officer's betrothed returned from her study stay in Russia and by Gu seung ex of Se Ri hiding in North Korea for having cheated the Seri's brother. The plot is never taken for granted and in addition to the amorous plots and comic scenes there is also a pinch of action and mystery due to an investigation that officer Ri is carrying out on the death of his brother. In short, this drama really does not lack anything and the 16 episodes are devoured! I find this Drama sis suitable for everyone because of the richness and variety of the plot and it also offers a point of view on such an unknown country as North Korea, describing it in tones that are not too harsh but showing it as a place where life is harder but simpler. Vote 8 for me!

Finalmente mi sono decisa a vedere uno dei k drama dalle migliori recensioni che è visibile su Netflix. Il drama di sedici episodi ha un ambientazione che subito incuriosisce, tanto per quanto poco se ne conosca ma anche perché è uno dei regimi piu duri del globo, la Corea del Nord. Infatti dopo il drama incuriosita ho letto vari articoli online e ordinati vari libri per capire le dinamiche di questo paese coso oscuro e cosi vicino alla vivace e moderna Corea del sud. Quindi un tema delicato per tutto il popolo coreano che affronta i rapporti tra le due coree similitudini, differenze, tradizioni, cultura e di sottofondo anche politica, anche se chiariamolo è un drama romantico e quindi non affronta temi pesanti con troppa pesantezza o temi politici.
La protagonista Seri interpretata dalla carinissima son ye jin attrice di Something in the rain è una impresnditrice di Seul, ricca, viziata, pretenziosa, abituata ad una vita di lusso, stacanovista e lanciata nella sua carriera, una leonessa dell' imprenditoria ma è anche una donna fragile, con una famiglia di arrivisti, nata da una relazione illecita e che nasconde una grande sofferenza per questa famiglia ricca di soldi ma povera di amore. Se ri cerca sempre di fare attività ed esperienze ed è proprio sfortunata quando una settimana prima della sua presa di potere nell' azienda di famiglia dove ha prevalso sui meschini fratelli ha un incidente in parapendio che disgraziatamente si ritrova in nord Corea!
Qui incontra l' ufficiale Ri che inizialmente vuole ovviamente portarla ai suoi supereroi perche appunto poteva essere una spia o un nemico e gia dall'inizio ci sono una serie di gag e una forte antipatia tra di loro, ma si sa da odio ad amore basta un passo! Dopo alcune peripezie dove è coinvolta anche la squadra di Ri composta da ragazzi ognuno con le sue peculiarità e tutti molto buffi, dopo una rocambolesca fuga la ragazza finisce per nascondersi in casa direttamente dell' ufficiale perche lui e la sua squadra non l' hanno acciuffata e denunciata subito decidono di nasconderla per evitare le pene che verrebbero loro inflitte, il nord Corea non è un paese per tutti.
Per Seri è un trauma ma l'ufficiale e i suoi commilitoni faranno di tutto per trovare un modo per farla tornare a casa, nel frattempo deve convivere con Ri e con la sua squadra che spesso è li, la convivenza non sarà facile ma lei riuscirà a farsi amici la squadra dove c'è pure un soldato amante dei k drama e anche a entrare nel cuore del tenente Ri. Le scene dolci e comiche non mancheranno neppure con le donne del paese che scoperta la sua presenza ( ovviamente Seri ha dato un'altra identità e copertura) faranno a gara a chi fa cose piu buffe e simpatiche, le risate non mancano in questo drama e neanche i sentimenti e la dolcezza! La storia di amore è la classica di amore e odio e anche impossibile per via del contesto, contesto che smusserà certi angoli di Se ri e le farà vivere una vita molti distante dagli agi a cui era abituata.
La nuova vita però da a Seri l'opportunità di conoscere meglio l' ufficiale Ri e il suo lato meno rigido, anzi scoprirà in lui un uomo premuroso, gentile e che finalmente la vede e la ascolta e la comprende, tra i due si instaura un legame affettuoso e romantico ma sempre ostacolato dalle differenze e le regole della Nord Corea ma anche da Seo Dan la promessa sposa dell'ufficiale tornata dal suo soggiorno studio in Russia e da Gu seung ex di Se Ri nascosto in Nord Corea per aver truffato il fratello di Se ri. La trama è davvero mai scontata e oltre agli intrecci amorosi e le scene comiche c'è anche un pizzico di azione e mistero dovuto ad una indagine che l'ufficiale Ri sta facendo sulla morte di suo fratello. Insomma a questo drama non manca davveo niente e i 16 episodi si divorano! Trovo che questo Drama sis adatto a tutti proprio per la ricchezza e la varietà della trama inoltre offe un punto di vista su un paese così sconosciuto come il Nord Corea, descruvendolo con toni non troppi duri ma mostrandolo come un luogo dove la vita è piu dura ma piu semplice. Voto 8 per me!
