Some stories are complex because of the number of narrative threads they try to weave together; some can be very boring and others very exciting—it all depends on the balance you’re aiming for. I think audiences, as masses of people, are silly because that’s just how crowds naturally behave—that’s why commercial content sells better, and that’s a good thing 🙂🙂.... But the individual is smart; they seek out challenges that make their mind work, which is also good 🤓🤓. Appreciating the details—the scenes that were fleeting moments crucial to understanding a character, the subtle dialogue, and the silences, where the latter can often say more—because it takes us a step beyond art, where three living characters simply seek to live and achieve their goals, while a fourth character, in silence, tries to snatch their very existence away 🕊️🕊️

Planetarium is a 2016 film starring Natalie Portman as Laura Barlow, the older of the two Barlow sisters, who serves as the face to draw in the masses I mentioned earlier—and boy, did it work, because I watched it for her 😍😍

Despite all that, I believe that Laura Barlow is not the main character in this story; she is actually more like us—just another spectator of everything that will happen to the true protagonist, Andre Kroben, played by Emmanuel Salinger, who in the film is a major film producer in early 20th-century France. This detail will catch the attention of the thoughtful viewer who wants to go beyond what this film sets out to explore in the realm of Art 🤓🤓

Hay historias que son complejas por la cantidad de aristas narrativas que quieren plantear, unas pueden ser muy aburridas y otras muy emocionantes, todo depende del enfoque en el equilibrio que se quiere desarrollar, pienso que las audiencias como masas de personas son tontas porque asi es el comportamiento natural de las masas, por eso lo comercial vende mas y eso es bueno 🙂🙂.... Pero el individuo es listo, busca retos que hagan a su mente pensar lo cual tambien es bueno 🤓🤓. El apreciar los detalles de las cosas, las escenas que fueron rafagas de segundos vitales para entender un personaje, los dialogos suaves y los silencios donde estos ultimos pueden decir mas porque se da un paso al mas alla del Arte donde tres personajes vivos simplemente buscan vivir, cumplir sus metas mientras un cuarto personaje en silencio intentara arrebatarles su existencia 🕊️🕊️

Planetarium es un film del 2016 que tiene a Natalie Portman en el personaje llamado Laura Barlow, la mayor de las dos hermanas Barlow la cual funciona como rostro para atraer a las masas que ya nombre y vaya que funciono porque la vi por ella 😍😍

A pesar de lo anterior, considero que Laura Barlow no es la principal protagonista de esta historia, ella en realidad es mas como nosotros, una simple espectadora mas de todo lo que sucedera con el verdadero protagonista llamado Andre Kroben interpretado por Emmanuel Salinger el cual en la pelicula es un gran productor de Cine en la Francia fe inicios del siglo 20, este detalle llamara la atencion del individuo pensante que quiere ir mas alla en el Arte de lo que esta pelicula quiere plantear 🤓🤓

I’m sharing the trailer with you—it’s honestly a delight to watch. It really reminded me of Zack Snyder because of how beautiful the scenes are; this is a huge compliment to the director and her team. What I saw was stunning; whether or not you love the story will depend on your own judgment and curiosity about the beyond 🤔🤔

For me, the best part of the film was studying and researching all the many details in it after watching it.... I firmly believe that the film doesn’t end when the credits roll; if you delve deeper into the “why” behind things, the story becomes exponentially richer 🤯🤯

The bridge connecting everything the film aims to convey is the younger sister, Kate Barlow, played by Lily-Rose Depp—a character I believe should have been developed further to captivate the masses. In her, I fully sensed the vibe of The Illusionist and The Prestige.... She embodies the fantastical element that wasn’t quite as fantastical as it could have been 😅😅

The movie is supposedly for smart people—maybe it is—and that’s why the approach is so boring, bland, and slow. I’m not criticizing that, since it’s a valid perspective, but I don’t think it’s necessary to leave Kate’s character stuck in limbo. It’s true that in the real world, people are here one day and gone the next, but since we’re already in a fantasy setting, let’s really go all out with the fantasy.... Give the popcorn machine a good workout so the movie can rake in the cash and give us more “Art” in other possible future stories 😐😐. Let’s not just settle for the reflections and metaphors that ended up making the film very boring to watch 🫠🫠

Except when Kate interacts with Kroben—that was the path worth exploring; that’s where the real spark was 🤩🤩. I love watching Natalie, but as far as the story goes, she might as well sit next to me and next to you to watch her own movie because she only really contributes during the first act of the story.... Otherwise, she’s unnecessary, since it’s obvious that, as an actress, she was the commercial draw to sell this movie, and she fails to deliver because she’s weighed down by the sister character—who wants to shine but isn’t allowed to haha 😅😅

Les comparto el Trailer el cual sinceramente es exquisito de ver, me recordo mucho a Snyder por la preciosidad de las escenas, esto es un gran cumplido para la directora y su equipo de trabajo, lo que vi es bello de ver, ya si la historia te encanta o no, dependera de tu criterio y curiosidad del mas alla de las cosas 🤔🤔

Para mi lo mejor del film fue estudiar e investigar despues de ver la pelicula los muchos detalles que habian en ella.... Considero solidamente que El film no termina cuando finalizan los creditos, si se avanza mas alla en el por que de las cosas, la historia se enriquece exponencialmente 🤯🤯

El puente de todo lo que se quiere contar es la hermana menor llamada Kate Barlow interpretada por Lily-Rose Depp la cual es como personaje la que considero se debia explotar mas para maravillar a las masas, en ella percibi plenamente la vibra de The Illusionist y The Prestige.... En ella recae lo fantastico que no fue tan fantastico 😅😅

La pelicula es supuestamente para gente lista, puede que si y por eso el enfoque es muy aburrido, soso y lento lo cual no critico ya que se puede apreciar pero no considero necesario hundir el personaje de Kate en el Limbo. Es verdad que en el mundo real las personas pues un dia estan y al otro no pero ya que esta servido lo fantastico pues explotemos lo fantastico.... Dele duro a la Maquina de hacer palomitas para que la pelicula pueda recaudar y darnos mas Arte en otras posibles futuras historias 😐😐. No nos quedemos solo con las reflexiones y las metaforas que terminaron haciendo al film muy aburrido de ver 🫠🫠

Excepto cuando Kate interactua con Kroben, alli sí era el camino a explorar, allí es donde estaba la verdadera chispa 🤩🤩, Me encanta ver a Natalie pero como historia ella se puede sentar junto a mi y junto a ti para ver su propia pelicula porque ella solo contribuye durante el primer acto de la historia.... de resto esta de mas ya que se nota que ella era como actriz el elemento comercial para vender esta pelicula y no logro cumplir porque tiene un peso muerto en la historia que es la hermana la cual quiere brillar pero no la dejan jaja 😅😅

One positive aspect of the movie is that time just flew by for me—I’m so happy with the relativity of things because the movie is slow-paced, but I loved watching it. I like to think from time to time, haha, and I was able to pick up on several of those scenes that tell the whole story through images alone 😁😁

In this regard, what is for me the true protagonist—the good Kroben—delivers as a character.... The actor may not have been the best choice for the role—or maybe he was—but the character himself isn’t all that mysterious; we can come up with all sorts of things to judge him by, yet he bears the weight of being the fourth silent character: Death itself.

This character, who will visit us all sooner or later, is where I believe the film has great value to be found in Kate’s character. She’s subtle, ephemeral, and unexpected—as the fantastical element wants to burst forth but is held back 🫠🫠

It’s a film I’ll rescue from oblivion to encourage you to watch it because what I saw was truly Art. That’s why it saddens me that it couldn’t shine as brightly as it deserved due to the film’s noticeable imbalance. Honestly, the focus on Kate should have been directed at Natalie, since I feel the story was sacrificed so that Portman could shine—but how can she shine if she’s more of a supporting character than my soul, haha 😂😂

Elemento positivo de la pelicula es que el tiempo se me fue volando, que feliz soy con la relatividad de las cosas porque la pelicula es lenta pero me encanto verla, me agrada pensar de vez en cuando jaja y pude pescar varias de esas escenas que cuentan todo solo con imagenes 😁😁

En este detalle, lo que para mi es el verdadero protagonista, el buen Kroben como personaje cumple.... El actor tal vez no fue el mejor de los casting pues puede que si, en si el personaje no tiene mucho misterio, podemos pensar cosas para juzgarlo pero en el cae el peso del cuarto personaje silencioso que es La Muerte de las cosas

Este personaje que tarde o temprano nos visitara a todos, es alli donde el film considero tiene un gran valor a rescatar en el personaje de Kate. Es Sutil, es Efimera y es inesperada ya que lo fantastico quiere desbordarse pero no lo dejan 🫠🫠

Es un film que rescatare del olvido para animarte a verlo porque de verdad es Arte lo que vi, por eso me da pesar que no pudo brillar mas como merecia por el desbalance notable en la pelicula, sinceramente el enfoque de Kate debio estar dirigido en Natalie ya que considero se sacrifico a la historia para que brillara Portman pero como va a brillar si es mas terciaria que mi alma jaja 😂😂
