Ante tal propuesta resulta complicado no realizar una comparación entre ambos largometrajes, si bien ni Jordan ni James son actores, el primero de los mencionados tenía carisma y proyectaba más histrionismo, de allí la buena química cuando fue combinado con los dibujos animados en el marco del humor absurdo e inocente. Sin duda, Jordan logró los resultados esperados por los productores y ello se reflejó tanto en la taquilla como en el apartado comercial. Se supone entonces que se pretendió repetir la misma fórmula utilizando la imagen de James, sin embargo, ahora el resultado no causó un impacto similar.

El papel del protagonista es relativamente sencillo porque hace de sí mismo y al ser una figura mediática con casi veinte años de vigencia, no tiene necesidad de esforzarse para ser reconocido por el público. En lo personal me gustó el trabajo de Don Cheadle como el villano del largometraje, el actor interpreta a un personaje muy bien construido, un antagonista neurótico, sagaz y carismático. Asimismo, Cedric Joe, personificando a Dom, el hijo mediano de James, realizó una actuación aceptable desde mi juicio. Tanto los personajes que representan al otro hijo y a la esposa de James carecen de peso en las tramas porque su participación es prácticamente ornamental.
The role of the protagonist is relatively simple because he plays himself and being a media figure with almost twenty years of existence, he does not need to make an effort to be recognized by the public. I personally liked Don Cheadle's work as the villain of the feature film, the actor plays a very well built character, a neurotic, shrewd and charismatic antagonist. Also, Cedric Joe, playing Dom, James's middle son, did an acceptable performance from my judgment. Both the characters that represent the other son and James's wife lack weight in the plots because their participation is practically ornamental.
Vale mencionar que la película posee una animación deslumbrante, lo que podría lucir muy atractiva para los jóvenes, no obstante, también muestra un abuso de los efectos especiales, sobre todo cuando se ejecuta el partido de baloncesto. A ratos resulta muy entretenida por el montaje en sus coloridos escenarios, pero también luce caótica con tantos cambios de planos en tan cortos espacios de tiempo.

At times it is very entertaining due to the montage in its colorful settings, but it also looks chaotic with so many changes of shots in such short periods of time.
A todas luces, Space Jam 2 es una película familiar con sus aciertos y desaciertos, diseñada para ser disfrutada sin mirar al pasado. Tiene un mensaje claro, valioso y muy digerible para la actual generación de niños y adolescentes.
