Spider-Man: Homecoming is a Marvel Cinematic Universe story directed by Jon Watts, produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and written by Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley, Jon Watts and Christopher Ford; it is a blend of superhero action and high school comedy.
The story follows Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, a 15-year-old high school student, trying to balance school, friends and his ambition to join the Avengers.
After Toney Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) recruited him in Captain America: Civil War, Peter finds himself filming everything from his journey to the airport right back to his home. He is happy that he was in the big leagues and has proven himself to Tony Stark (Iron Man).
He will learn that being Spider-Man was not about a fancy suit. When the suit was taken away from him, he was more than the suit, and what was more important was protecting the people around him.
Michael Keaton, who played the role of the Villain, Adrian Toomes, also known as the Vulture, is just a working-class man who felt cheated by the system and decided, because of that, to turn to crime in order to survive with his family.
He later finds out that the boy in the red suit who has been disturbing his business was Peter Parker, his daughter's date to homecoming and didn’t take him as a serious opponent and will warn him only because he had saved his daughter's life to stay away from his business with a kill threat.
Tony Stark (Iron Man) needed to build a team to fight with his faction of the divide against the faction of Steve Rogers (Captain America). He went out to Queens to visit Peter Parker, where he had to lie to May Parker about an internship programme to which Peter Parker had applied at Stark Industries, and that he was needed to start immediately.
As a result of this, he automatically became his mentor, and Peter Parker became his responsibility; he needed to keep an eye on him at all times.
The movie is a mix of action, adventure, sci-fi and comedy, genre-wise, but at its core, it is a superhero teen movie.
Homecoming is a light, funny movie. Tom Holland nails the awkward, eager teen vibe; the supporting cast, Jacob Batalon, who played Ned Leeds, killed his character perfectly well; Marisa Tomei (May Parker) brought sweet charm to the movie, not forgetting Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori and other supporting actors.
