¡Hola, Comunidad de Hive! Hoy vengo a compartirles mi opinión sobre una de las más recientes películas de Marvel y que acaparó bastante la atención hace algunos meses: SHANG-CHI Y LA LEYENDA DE LOS DIEZ ANILLOS.
Así como otras películas de Marvel han buscado mezclar las historias de superhéroes con otros géneros cinematográficos, la historia de origen de Shang-Chi muestra elementos del cine de artes marciales asiático tradicional para narrarnos el enfrentamiento de este héroe no tan conocido del Universo Marvel contra su padre, el temido villano y terrorista conocido como Mandarín, poseedor de unas armas místicas conocidas como Los Diez Anillos.
Dentro de las virtudes de SHANG-CHI Y LA LEYENDA DE LOS DIEZ ANILLOS tenemos todo su apartido visual y manejo de cámara, donde ésta está la servicio del personaje principal y muestra todo su potencial para las acrobacias y peleas cuerpo a cuerpo; además del uso de vestuarios y escenarios muy detallados que van en sintonía con el contexto y género que se maneja, sin dejar de lado obviamente los pulidos efectos especiales en cada escena que los incluye.
En cuanto a su guión, desde el principio maneja una historia donde nos hablan sobre responsabilidades y de encontrar nuestro propósito en el mundo a través de los diferentes personajes. Dentro de éstos, destacan el protagonista, Shang-Chi (interpretado acertadamente por Simu Liu), con un arco dramático que avanza en base a su madurez y su decisión en cuanto a su rol en el mundo, y el antagonista, El Mandarín (interpretado magistralmente por Tony Leung), que se perfila como uno de los villanos mejor desarrollados del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel gracias a su humanidad. Así mismo, están acompañados por otros personajes secundarios que la historia mucho más disfrutable.
Sin embargo, esta película presenta muchas fallas que aún persisten en las películas del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel como el humor metido a la fuerza, así como escenas que sólo tienen el impacto correspondiente para los aficionados a esta franquicia, ya que requieren del visionado de películas anteriores que no se relacionan a ésta en cuento a contexto.
SHANG-CHI Y LA LEYENDA DE LOS DIEZ ANILLOS es una película entretenida, con escenas deslumbrantes y que muestra atisbos de madurez en esta franquicia; pero al final no logra funcionar por sí misma completamente al estar demasiado ligada a otras películas, por lo que acaba sintiéndose como una película más del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel.

As for its script, from the beginning it handles a story where we are told about responsibilities and finding our purpose in the world through the different characters. Among these, the main character, Shang-Chi (played aptly by Simu Liu), stands out, with a dramatic arc that advances based on his maturity and his decision regarding his role in the world, and the antagonist, The Mandarin (played masterfully by Tony Leung), who emerges as one of the best developed villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to his humanity. Likewise, they are accompanied by other secondary characters that make the story much more enjoyable.
However, this film has many flaws that still persist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, such as the forced humor, as well as scenes that only have a corresponding impact for fans of this franchise, as they require the viewing of previous films that do not relate to this one in context.
SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS is an entertaining film, with dazzling scenes and showing glimpses of maturity in this franchise; but in the end it fails to fully work on its own by being too closely tied to other films, so it ends up feeling like just another film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
