Looking for a lighthearted series with lots of action, hilarious comedy scenes, and touchingly tender touches? Spy X Family shows you this and much more. Incredibly, an anime of this genre can be so well-crafted and developed, not only for its plot but also for its peculiar characters, maintaining a very well-crafted family tone from beginning to end. And they achieved this in both their first and second seasons, including their movie. For me, this series is 10/10 in all its aspects, but above all because it makes me laugh with every unexpected occurrence of these three characters who make up a very "normal family."

Parece mentira que un animé de este género llegue a estar tan bien elaborado y desarrollado no sólo por su trama sino también por sus peculiares personajes, manteniendo un tono familiar muy bien llevado desde que inicia hasta que termina. Y lo lograron tanto en su primera temporada como en la segunda, incluyendo su película. Para mí esta serie es 10/10 en todos sus aspectos pero sobre todo porque me have reír con cada ocurrencia inesperada de estos tres personajes que conforman una "familia normal".

As the name suggests, its characters are spies, but they're also family. They didn't become family to be spies, but the other way around. They're spies who had to join forces as a family out of obligation, or rather, to successfully fulfill their mission as the typical undercover spy. This extravagant return to the series' beginnings, where it shows Loid, a calculating and cold man due to his job, is forced to adopt a girl from a shelter named Anya, the tender pink-haired girl who hides a big secret: she can read minds. Later, they are joined by Yor, a woman who specializes as a hitman.

Como su nombre lo indica, sus personajes son espías pero también son familia y no es que se volvieron familia para ser espías sino al revés, son espías que tuvieron que unir fuerzas como familia por obligación o mejor dicho para cumplir su misión con éxito como el típico espía encubierto. Esta vuelta extravagante al inicio de la serie, donde muestra a Loid, un hombre calculador y frío por su trabajo, se ve obligado a adoptar una niña de un refugio, llamada Anya, la tierna niña de cabello rosa que esconde un gran secreto: puede leer la mente. Más adelante se les une Yor, una mujer que se especializa como asesino a sueldo o mejor dicho, sicario.

Although it sounds like the series is full of death, fighting, and explicit violence, it turns out to be quite the opposite. What makes this series so special is that its characters, to fulfill their mission at all costs, hide their secrets but strive to keep up appearances, leading a double life. It's understandable that both Loid and Yor, who are the inexperienced parents, can do this, whose real job is considered much more demanding than pretending to be an ordinary family. But what's most captivating about this story is seeing how difficult it is for the characters themselves to be parents compared to being spies.

Aunque suene como si la serie estuviera cargada de muerte, peleas y temas de violencia explísita, al final resulta ser todo lo contrario. Lo que hace esta serie tan especial en sí es que sus personajes, con el fin de cumplir su misión a como de lugar, ocultan sus secretos pero se esfuerzan en mantener las apariencias llevando así una doble vida. Y se entiende que lo pueda hacer tanto Loid como Yor que son los padres inexpertos, cuyo trabajo real en sí se considera de mucha más exigencia que fingir ser una familia común y corriente, pero lo que más atrapa de esta historia es ver cómo a los personajes en sí se les hace dificil ser padres a comparación de ser espías.

Anya is unique and funny, and simply because she can read minds, she's the only one who discovers her parents' darkest secrets. Her facial expressions are hilarious as she tries to keep up appearances, knowing what they've done. On top of that, being naturally inexperienced in family matters, both Yor and Loid exude moments of tenderness, warmth, and a love that sprouts exponentially within all three of them. In other words, this relationship begins fictitiously, but as the episodes progress, they show how the relationship in this family evolves, grows, strengthens, and a true love begins to blossom between its members.

Anya de por sí es única, divertida y por el simple hecho de leer la mente es la única que descubre los más oscuros secretos de sus padres, por lo que sus expresiones faciales son hilarantes al tratar de mantener las apariencias sabiendo lo que realmente han hecho ellos. Por otro lado se suma el hecho de que al ser inexpertos en el tema familiar, por naturaleza, tanto Yor como Loid derrochan momentos de ternura, calidez y un amor que le brota a los 3 de manera exponencial. Es decir, esta relación empieza de manera ficticia pero a medida que avanzan los episodios te muestran cómo la relación en esta familia evoluciona, crece, se fortalece y empieza a nacer un amor verdadero entre sus integrantes.

For me, it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. There are moments so full of tenderness in this series that they bring tears to your eyes, as well as a huge amount of laughter when you see how Anya intentionally or accidentally puts her adoptive parents in awkward situations. Watching the development of both extremes merge so majestically is on another level. It's as if everything hovers between unintentional chaos and deliberate organization. For me, the person who made this anime is a genius, and it's among my favorites for many reasons.

Para mí ha sido una de las cosas más hermosas que he visto. Hay momentos tan llenos de ternura en esta serie que te provocan una que otra lágrima, así como también una gran cantidad de carcajadas al ver cómo Anya coloca en situaciones incómodas ya sea adrede o por accident a sus padres adoptivos. Ver el desarrollo de ambos extremos fusionarse tan majestuosamente es otro nivel. Es como si todo se mantuviera entre un caos involutario y una organización deliberada. Para mí es un genio quien hizo este animé y está dentro de mis favoritos por muchas razones.
