Hello animation lovers! It's been a while since I sat down to watch something interesting and so I decided to give myself a little movie treat last night. With all bright lights turned off giving me a cinematic feeling I put up something cool for myself to enjoy alone.
I wasn't feeling like watching any rom-com or sci-fi etc but all I yearned for was a nice animation. One thing I figured about myself is no matter how old I get to be, I'd still sit back like a child and watch cartoons 🤣. At least till any movie industry says that animations are meant for kids alone.
Matter of fact there are animations that some age group of kids shouldn't watch so I think that's a big advantage for me. Lol.
Moving on to why I write today, have you seen the movie Turning Red? If you haven't, then I don't know what you're seriously waiting for because it's a ten over ten. It's actually a family comedy movie but since I had nobody I watched it alone and of course it felt great.
Directed by Domee Shi and released on March 11, 2022. This movie focuses on a girl named Mei Lee, a 13 year old who thinks that at thirteen she's a full grown up and can do things all by herself. I really don't think I had stopped sucking at that age of my life not to think of doing things all by myself 🤣.
She had to battle being her mother's obedient daughter and the chaos of her youth. Now I think that's where we're totally different because I don't think I was obedient. I was a total rebel even when on my mother's laps 🤭.
Mei Lee yearned to accomplish many things other teenagers her age did but her mother was always standing between. She loved boys, parties and so much more but couldn't get involved in any of those things because of an overprotective mother.
As if that wasn't enough, she turns into a big red panda whenever her emotions are set on high. The panda thing was a family trait that seemed really strange to Mei Lee when she first experienced hers. Her family and friends tried to make her stay calm whenever she shapeshifted.
It was a real battle to either remain an obedient mommy's girl or turn a total rebel like myself.
You'll really love this movie if you see it whenever you wish to and you'll thank me later. For now, I gotta bounce because I've got a pile of paper work to do.
