Anatomy of a Scandal is a brand new limited series on Netflix that has been quite hyped all across the globe. I have read quite a lot of reviews, and most of them deem Anatomy of a Scandal to be quite average. But, I don't always agree with the critics. Do I agree with them about Anatomy of a Scandal?
What is Anatomy of a Scandal about?
We meet a minister in the UK who has a beautiful wife and two children. But, things are not as easy as they might sound, as it suddenly comes forth that he has had a sexual relationship to one of his co-workers for 5 months. SO far, this is only causing trouble for their marriage.
But, after the minister broke up with his co-worker, he once again had sex with the co-worker. The only problem is that, according to the woman, she was raped, while the politician claims it to be have been the desire of both to have sex.
This is real MeToo problematic, and of course, it is up to anyone watching to decide what really happened. Of course, we are served a way to look upon all of it in the series. But, how will the case influence the family, the marriage, the British parliament and the fellow politicians, and so much more?
Is Anatomy of a Scandal worth watching?
I have been watching quite a lot of limited series on Netflix recently, and I have got to admit... this was quite boring. I watched all six episodes, but it wasn't like I really looked forward to watching them. I looked forward to the final episode, because it would give closure, but that was the only reason.
Even so, I told my wife a few episodes before the end what I think would become the end of the story, and I was quite bored to discover that I was entirely right. In other words, quite predictable!
Of course, there are some surprising twists and turns in Anatomy of a Scandal, but they are not at all enough to make this very interesting.
Now I am happy to be finished with Anatomy of a Scandal, and instead, I look forward to stream the brand new Harlan Coben series Hold Tight on Netflix. It has been produced in Poland with local actors and actresses from Poland (as far as I can see), but that just makes it all the more interesting! Have you seen Hold Tight yet?
