Review by @vanessakor 🏆#275 🔥1 🎵3 📺3 · 1d · of Dynasty · 3 views

The drama series plot dynasty 2017 is one that encompasses all aspects of the literal meaning of the title, here the complexities of family,inter-relational differences, wealth status are all a subject of spectacles and is put to play in a way that shows sociological navigation when a lot is had to be lost.

The storyline

Dynasty premiered in 2017, co-written by Stephanie Savage, Sallie Patrick, Josh Schwartz, It follows the lives of wealthy carrington family, whose social status and interpersonal relationships transcends power struggle..The series pilots into the portrayal of over-archiver main character energy “Fallon Carrington” plays by Elizabeth Gillies, the daughter and heir by relational dynasties to the Carrington family businesses, she is positioned in the series as a strong personality individual who philosophy reckons that the “end justifies the means, she would go to lenghts to have things passing her way, what we see as almost a defense mechanism for the underlying trauma hidden away. Fallon is tough and capable in all respects she is caught in a constant squabble with anyone and anything that stands in her way to attain the life she wants and a part of that life is to succeed blake carrington her father and an oil business mogul who has built carrington dynast to what we would know it be as the life they lead, her need to secure a significant place and position in the carrington’s dynasty fuels her rather upstrung approach within the dynamics which highlights non-relative parties as the bone of contention.

In this dynamic every character struggles to protect their interest, while maintaining the image of a perfect family, under the idea of the luxurious life lies people who are constantly negotiating thier place in a world where loyalty, love and wealth rearely exist independently

Review

I enjoyed the dramatic nature of the seires because it created an environment where every single relationship felt like a negotiation, the constant tension between the close-knit characters was really stimulating and there really was never a dull moment at all. wether it was between famiy member, romantic partner or extras it was interesting to observe the presence of high societal value and privilege being a agony of internal conflict. Fallon in particular is an interesting character because beneath the ever-so-effortless wit and self assurance is some who seem to want to prove she is deserving of the position she want to belong to her, the expectation of validation is one you begin to ponder about because where consequentially individuals are portrayed relative from ordinary life the contention for power seem rather unique

Conclusion

I love when rawness in relational behavior is present through characters that are position to be objects of societal curation of success, power and elitism, there is something really interesting about watching people navigate lives when desire, insecurities and ambition are constantly in conflict. Exploring all if this aspect of what makes humans human in the way that connects the varying personality, perspective, and orientation to life .
