For the first time in my 8 months on Steemit, I will recommend a series instead of a movie. Mainly because it's extremely good. As its only 4 episodes of 23 minutes each (so far), it has the length of a movie and makes for perfect bingewatch material. That is exactly what my friend and I did, two days ago. We watched 4 episodes in one night and only discovered the next day that those are the only ones available. In other words: that is all for season 1. Can't wait to see season 2!
Unfortunately, I don't have a nice personal story to attach to this. I must have played the game - I'm pretty sure about it- when I was young. But, as I never had a Nintendo, or any other console, perhaps I haven't. It's likely that I've just seen other people play it. Now I think about it, I believe my brother had the game on his Nintendo DS. I guess I played it on there, but that must have been twenty years after Castlevania's initial release.
No matter what, the vampire genre has always intrigued me. Favorites of mine are Bram Stoker's / Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula (1992), The Nosferatu movies by Fritz Lang (1922) and Werner Herzog (1979) and the anime that I wrote about recently: Blood: The Last Vampire and Vampire Hunter D, closely followed by Blade (1998).
I will leave you now to enjoy its trailer, referring to the 1986 Nintendo game it is based on.
